Wishing you all good times over Christmas and a great start to 2007. We are staying home for Christmas, having DH's brother over, then we'll go to see DH's parents on the 27th perhaps. On the 29th we are flying to Iceland for a week. So if I don't have time to write before January, I wish you now a happy Christmas and health & happiness for 007.

leomincepiesandbrandybutter · 23/12/2006 09:07

Iceland! Wonderful! Have a lovely time.

We are also staying at home for christmas. Celebrating on 24th with dh's parents, sister and husband and my best friend her 2 children (one is 3 weeks old) and husband. Then 26th or 27th we are going up to the mountains. Hopefully there will be some snow for Niklas to enjoy..... but not too much as I will be of all the snowboarders!

JoPG · 24/12/2006 09:42

We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year

Lots of love

Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas with their loved ones. We had a great time at the river. Hot, so lots of swimming in the river which Lauren really enjoyed. Just dropped her at my Mum and Dad's place. We are leaving tomorrow and have tons of stuff to do, so she is staying with my parents tonight and then going to DH's parents tomorrow until they fly to Mauritius on Tues.
Got to do some last minute shopping, tidy the house (which Lauren has managed to trash since we came home - stuff everywhere) and do ironing. Went and had a facial and pedicure last night, so all painted and exfoliated!
Lauren got some lovely presents for Christmas. Most impressed with her doll sized travel cot, which she insists on climbing into. Also loves her Winnie the Pooh train set.
Looking forward to a party at New Year. Haven't had one for the last few years, but as we will be without our darling child, we will make the most of it.
Have a great New Year and I wish you all a fantastic 2007!
See you mid Jan.

Pidge · 29/12/2006 12:11

Hi everyone - hope you all had merry and relaxed Christmasses.

We've been in Wales with my parents for almost a week, which is always really chilled out.

Though, we're still doomed on the health front it seems. Iris vomited in the car on the way here, then we had exploding poo on Christmas morning, so dp and I began the festive day at 6am showering the poo off Iris, who had managed to get it up to her armpits .... lovely.

More embarrassing, she then gave the bug to my mum and dad, who spent two days in bed with it.

And now she has a stinking cold, so is coughing herself awake from about 5am.

I reckon we are due a super-healthy 2007 .

At least Cleo's chicken pox is no longer contagious, so we're out of quarantine on that front!

Happy New Year all of you.

JoPG · 01/01/2007 12:31

Hope everyone had a fab Xmas and New Year.
Freya and Ethan had a lovely time and got loads of new toys. We will have to have a clear out of all the old stuff now!
Freya enjoyed opening her own presents this year, much to the disappointment of Ethan who wanted to help her!
I will post some piccies of them later on Xmas Day.

Last night we had my parents round for dinner, and we stayed up till past midnight for the first New Year's Eve in ages. Am suffering a bit today though, roll on bedtime!

Happy New Year to you all

Happy new year everyone! I keep reading this thread but keep getting distracted before I post!

Pidge, I hope you are all over your illnesses now and they stay away for a while.

We are doing well here, the babies are doing very well and (at 30 weeks) they are measuring 1.4kg and 1.6kg, they only need to add another 370g between them and I will be carrying the same weight of baby as Niklas was when he was born (IYKWIM) ! Feeling good though apart from tiredness, insomnia and very sore hips when I lie down for any lenth of time.

Hope everyone else is OK.

JoPG · 08/01/2007 12:31

Leo - Good to hear that the twins are doing well, not long to go now - you must be very excited.

I have posted some Xmas piccies in the photobucket, Freya looks very cute (though I could be accused of being biased!)

Very quick one from me - great Christmas and New year. Now launched into starting dd1 at school (first proper half day today, though she did a handful of half days in the autumn too).

Iris is pining for her "Mine sister gone" she said, and even (I think she heard me saying something similar) "I miss mine sister"!!

Anyway, all going well, must dash. Great to hear how everyone is getting on.

ukrainianmum · 10/01/2007 21:24

Hi all!!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!!!
We are still on celebrations here.Just had christmas on 7th of january. And for those who are reallu religious and were on post on new year another celebration of new year.It is all so comlicated the only thing i can add that we have a ferstive season till 19th of January.
HAd some snow on the new years night.Ksenia even enjojed a ride in slades and from the 2nd is very warm here.Very unusual this time of year!

Just before Xmas(25th)got a 25 kilos of presents from my dh.He misses us like crazy. And i got another refusal at the embassy in visa.

ukrainianmum · 10/01/2007 21:45

And Ksenia has been really really ill over the holidays. She even was on antibiotics.Thank God she is fine now.Happy child. She talks and talks and talks. She repeats every single word after us.But if she is talking she uses her baby talk or she will cange the word or make ot shorter.Seems like she wants to talk but lazy to do it.I am tring to post some pics but internet so slow that i can only enjoy yours.

jambot · 12/01/2007 08:27

Happy New Year all.
Arrived back from Mauritius yesterday. Had a wonderful time. Lauren had a ball. Stunning weather, beautiful blue water - heaven. Although she did wake at 4:00am this morning screaming the place down. Took me 45 mins to calm her down. God knows what the problem was. finally went back to sleep and woke at 8. Finally starting to talk - well, expand her vocab at least. Her favourite holiday word was 'cocal' - coral. My Mum phoned me up just now to say she was so excited as Lauren had finally said 'Granny'.
Thinking of you with your big tum Leo. My cousin has just e-mailed me to say that he and his wife are expecting twins as well. No kids and now twins; he says they are petrified!!
Sorry you are no closer to reaching the UK Ukrainianmum. Sure you will eventually have some luck on that front.
Also posting some pics of photobucket. Haven't had a look at others yet.

Leoladyofleisure · 15/01/2007 12:17

hi all,

Pidge, how is dd1 doing at school?
Umum - so sorry to hear you got your visa turned down !

Jambot, great to hear you had such a lovely holiday .
Its really scary when you first find out you are having twins, but the closer it gets the better I feel about it. HAve to tell your cousin's wife to come and join us on mumsnet, there is a great thread on the Multiples section where everyone chats and gives each other loads of support and advice. Also make sure she has a doctor who is experienced with twin pregnancies and twin births, it is higher risk, there are many more things that can go wrong than witha single pregnancy and its important to be sure the doctor has the experience to realise when things are not right. Best of luck to her and congratulations!

Oh, going to try to post a couple of pictures myself now !

Pidge · 15/01/2007 13:51

Leo - have just seen the BUMP picture!! So exciting to hear your progress. I can't wait to hear of the exciting new arrivals.

Have also looked through the other new photos. I can't get over how grown up they all look now.

Leo - thanks for asking about Cleo's school. She is doing great - seems to be really enjoying it. Though she is absolutely exhausted already after one week of half days. Today is her first full day.

We have my parents here this week to drop Cleo off and pick her up when I'm at work, to give her slightly shorter days so she doesn't have to go up to the childminder's after school just yet.

And today is my dad's 70th birthday, so yesterday we had a family party for about 15 people. A meal at a pub and then back here for chocolate mousse cake, baked cheesecake or kiddie cupcakes. What a glorious excuse for me to get baking again.

My other big news is that I have a London marathon place (running for the asthma society) ... so that is going to keep me seriously busy till April!

tamula · 16/01/2007 14:05

hi guys,

i'd like to add photo to buket but have misplaced the login could someone mail it to me pls?

Love tammy and the girls Xxx

tamula · 16/01/2007 14:05

thats hotmail (underscore) is (underscore) pants @ yahoo.co.uk

Pidge · 17/01/2007 12:07

Thanks tamula - have just sent you photobucket details.

Now dashing off in my lunchbreak to do a very quick 3 miler ... beginning to wonder what I've let myself in for!

jambot · 18/01/2007 07:12

Gosh, that's quite some bump Leo! Looks bigger because you're quite small and slim, but just with this big tum.
Good luck with the running Pidge. I went back to gym yesterday after nearly a month off. Feeling it this morning, with a very sore bum.
Well, we seem to have hit the terrible two's a few months early. Lauren has suddenly started to throw the biggest fit when she can't get her own way. Lots of tears and wailing, which is so unlike her, so think the toddler tantrums have begun.
What fun!!

tamula · 18/01/2007 21:20

Hi Guys,

Thanks for Login info Pidge

I am uploading a load of snaps and will look at all our beautiful babies when i'm done..

Hope you are all well,

lots of love Tammy and girls
(I love saying that!)

xXx

tamula · 18/01/2007 21:39

photobucket is giving me grief, i'll try again tomorrow instead, i just chose about 15 photos and it didnt upload any after waiting for ages

busywizzy · 21/01/2007 20:31

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for ages but we seem to have been stricken with one type of bug after another in our household and one or other of us has been poorly since before Xmas. This week, I've had Harri and Hannah at home with streaming colds and poor DH not feeling well either and getting the tiny remaining bit of sympathy I've had left after looking after the other two.

Harri also has a black eye from walking into the corner of a wicker chair and a beautiful hairstyle to finish off the look as Hannah decided to give him a trim. I'll try and take some piccies before I take him to the hairdressers to get it sorted (that's how bad it is)

Leo, can't believe how big your bump is but also how small you are everywhere else. My bottom was enormous when I was 30 weeks with Harri

Everyone elses little ones are beautiful and I just can't get over how grown up they all look. I still think Harri's such a baby until I see piccies of the other babies and realise how they're getting so big.

We now have lots and lots and lots of talking and I can actually have quite a conversation with him now. I definately think it helps having a bigger sister (other than the dangers caused to street cred with bad hair-dos) and Harri chatters away like a naggy old woman. He talks all day long, telling me things he likes, he doesn't like, what he wants to do, what toys he wants to play with, what TV he wants to watch, what story he wants, how hungry he is. On and on and on he goes and heaven forbid that I drop Hannah anywhere other than school as he asks incessantly 'Where sister' and 'Sister home' until she reappears.

I have to say that he's really scrummy at the moment, other than a constant snotty nose and I'm totally besotted with my little man

Love to everyone.

busywizzy · 21/01/2007 20:33

Meant to add that my brother in law and his wife have just adopted one year old twins (a girl and a boy) How's that for a baptism of fire They're gorgeous though.

Pidge · 22/01/2007 20:51

Congrats to your BIL busy. Wow, what an experience that is going to be. I remember when dd1 was a toddler thinking - thank goodness I had the baby phase to ease me into this!

Huge sympathy on the illness front. It is exactly the same in this house. I know it's only low level stuff, but we don't seem to have had an illness free weekend since about early October between us. This weekend it was me again - absolutely flattened by some weird virus that made me sleep and sleep and sleep. And most irritatingly has prevented me doing any running for days. Not good for the old marathon prep, 3 months to go and am just hoping we have now done all our illnesses for the winter.

Cleo is well stuck into school - on her 3rd week. But Iris is still puzzled. "Mine sister gone" she kept saying today. And "Mine sister back later?"
