That's just it, it is so ridiculous, that's it funny! Oh believe me, I put on the house slippers and I had the garage door open and I was outta here. Just thinking back to my DH flying out the door and ninja jumping over the bicycles near my car to try to get into the passenger-side door and me locking the doors and the look on his face is actually quite priceless and is making me chuckle right now! I had had ENOUGH. So just to prevent anything like that happening again, DH put her to bed tonight so my nipples are safely tucked away and out of the grasp of tiny fingers for tonight.

Kitty I used CIO with my eldest and he responded at about 10 months. #2 was a dream baby and started sleeping through the night completely on his own at about 13 months, IIRC. M absolutely WILL NOT CIO. This kid screams, and screams, and screams, and screams and bangs her head on the door and screams some more. And then starts banging her head again. I mean, it's insane the amount of volume and the amount of head-banging that goes on. When this is happening at 2,3,4 am there just isn't even enough mental capacity to go in and sush and then go back to bed. It's like someone is dying in her bedroom. Which DH and I talked about and I think we are going to move her into where the guest bedroom is right now and turn her tiny room into my office. It's tucked into the back corner of the house and it's way quieter so if she cries maybe we won't be able have to hear her? (I know, so mean....).

Pear you made it 22 months! That is such a huge achievement and I'm so happy that you're happy and content with how everything was going and is going. Any amount of time is great, so you rock!

Thanks ladies Thanks I am not sad about stopping which is nice...I thought I would be sad but it turns out that I did all my sad boohooing when I dropped the night feed. Turns out I've been weaning myself ?? Its the second day now and he's not bothered at all. Bpear hasn't even pointed or lifted up my top. He was more bothered about demanding a banana with his porridge Smile So it's extra lovely that I have timed stopping when he can clearly cope and not even need it emotionally anymore. I'm really happy for him.

Still a bit perplexed that he now refuses to drink cows milk at ALL times of the day. I hope that is OK? He's the only kid I know who doesn't want milk. He loves porridge, cheese and yoghurt so I give him these things everyday and I'm even thinking of letting him have the bigger size yoghurts as he always asks for 2 small pots. He loves cheese as a snack with raisins.

Frus, your buggy sounds lovely I'll google it. You must be pleased DS is well on the mend Smile Your DH went to the supermarket at 6:30am? That's impressive. Don't think my DH would attempt that one lol

Bring - GrinGrinGrin house slippers mean business! You could have driven off if you wanted to! I'm glad DH is now shaken enough to get his hands dirty Wink heee heee

My DH is overjoyed that he is now on baby monitor duty in the night this week because I couldn't possibly attend to bpear without any boobies anymore Grin He woke twice in the night... I was wiggling my toes and smiling Smile

Librarina · 03/04/2015 08:46

Pear, I handed over night duty to DH when we weaned N and now she only calls for Daddy if she wakes up in the night, it's brilliant! I don't even hear her!

So, in Too Much Oregnany Info, I haven't pooed in about 3 days and my bump is enormous. I wonder if the two things are linked, maybe I'm not really pregnant, maybe I'm just harbouring a massive poo? I'm stealing N's prunes and she is not impressed!

peardrop2 · 03/04/2015 09:12

Lib...out of interest how long did it take you to fall pregnant after weaning N?

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 03/04/2015 19:36

Ooh ouch Lib Maybe try taking some magnesium citrate? That usually gets the bowels moving. It's great because it relaxes the muscles when you take it at night and induces a lovely deep sleep :) Also a cup of warm water in the morning when you wake up helps to stimulate the bowels. It has to be just water, nothing in it. And don't eat anything afterward for 10 minutes, it needs to be digested first to stimulate everything.

So... guess who got stuck sharing the bed with M last night? Guess who's a manic bitch today? Yeah... exactly Hmm. DH tried to tell me this morning that he slept funny and has a kink in his neck. I gave him a withering "F-OFF" look and mentioned that I slept funny because I had a hand down my shirt all night and now my nipples are on fire. Easter Angry

BPear will be absolutely fine without cow's milk. If he likes cheese, he's fine Wink My 3 don't drink cow's milk at all as they all tend to react to it in different ways and our doc doesn't bat an eyelid. She just mentions the high-good-fat foods, make sure they are eating veg/fruit and getting protein with meals.

Awww Frus I hope it gets better! Feel well, my friend. Flowers

kittykatsforever · 03/04/2015 22:00

You girls have had me in stitches in the last few posts lol
I love bring "F off" look more so because I have mastered this look to perfection myself Wink your description of that night is hilarious m really is head strong isn't she lol must admit kitten sounds similar, she's of the throw herself on the floor tantrum stage and has to throw something to show just how much she objects but she's careful not to hurt herself so the head banging tops it. When she was crying to adjust to time difference I found going in and attempting to placate just made it worse as she only cried louder when you put her back down, unfortunately the ignore does work better but it doesn't make you feel great Hmm
Pear, how long do you think you will get away with wiggling your toes? He he very amusing, I love it when they get a taste of reality! I got pg the first cycle I stopped bf after tiger, I don't think I would have until I stoped which was majority what promoted it 22 months is so wow and glad you don't feel bad, sounds like you were both ready! Tiger doesn't like milk either, even in her cereal she asks for it dry Confused I draw the line with weetabix! I think mine have had 2 yoghurts ever since they were around 8 months! 1 is never enough
Lib have you birthed yet? Lol
Frus pram sounds fab! I hope you continue to not hear ds Wink

I had an AMAZING idea to start giving bpear Wellbeing vitamins in Orange flavour syrup. Day 1: Bpears face Was a picture. Day 2: Bpear says no way!!! You're not coming near me with that stinky vitamin spoon Grin Arrrrrggghhh why don't they get that we're trying to help? To be fair to him it is really stinky and horrible tasting. What on earth was the vitamin company thinking?!!!

peardrop2 · 04/04/2015 14:50

Frus - you sound really organised Wink

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 04/04/2015 14:50

That was meant to be a smile not a wink!

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 04/04/2015 14:52

Kitty - bpear cried himself back to sleep very quickly last night so neither of us had to go in. How annoying is that!!! So typical that DH gets off the hook Grin

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 04/04/2015 14:53

Oh and I tried to hide the vitamin in the yoghurt but he could tell straight away lol Now he's very suspicious of everything lol

Hi Pear, I weaned N at 16 months and was pregnant after about a month/6 weeks. After the miscarriage I think it took about 3 weeks! Which is crazy as it took 18 months to catch N!

I finally had to help my poo along, bump is still massive tho, have had to move into maternity jeans as the old hairband trick wasn't taking the strain!

peardrop2 · 05/04/2015 18:05

Thanks Lib Smile That's encouraging Wink

Happy Easter ladies Grin

Frus tiger has the chewy vits, she loves them, defo thinks that they are sweets, but they are age 3 up don't know if that's just because if them chocking or ingredients? If it was chocking I'd let kitten have as I know she could manage Wink as it is that's why she has a tic tac as she wants a sweet like tiger and not liquid shit
Don't dh's always get an easy life!!!
Mine always sleep in for dh never for me
Attempt one a tiger having a sleepover tonight at he cousins was a failure, she's just been brought home Confused

bringonthetrumpets · 06/04/2015 01:59

Lol Kitty I can't believe they just brought her back to you! That's really funny (but not for you...).

The kids get a chewy vitamin (but I'm horrible at actually getting the vitamins to them every day, oops!)

It is crazy how quickly #s 2 and 3 start to show! Glad things have started moving for you Lib Wink

Shock NO! YANBU!

Ugh, is he going to take care of it?

bringonthetrumpets · 07/04/2015 00:44

Anyone else's kid totally and adamantly against eating anything that doesn't resemble cereal, yogurt, eggs, ham, pasta or grapes? Because seriously, this is the only thing that M will eat. I know it won't kill her, but the nutrition-obsessed part of me is going crazy! It's at least one food from each food group, right? Right?? Confused Hmm
