Bring ~ this is what my last 2 cycles have looked like

December - High reading on cd 22 (never got a peak so maybe I didn't ovulate that month) 10 days later AF arrived

January - peak reading cd20, after possible ovulation on cd21 AF arrived 9 days later

February - high reading cd22

Pear I'm sure I've read before that bf can affect lp length and make it shorter therefore reducing chance of pregnancy. Not that I'm suggesting you stop just why your cycles might still all be about out of wack

peardrop2 · 10/02/2015 11:38

Kitty ~ I'm sure you're right. I've read something similar too this week hence why I am dropping the 7pm feed if AF arrives sob sob! Sad

I got another high on the monitor today so if I peak tomorrow then this will be the first cycle that I am actually seeing the right order of results on the monitor! That has got to count for something!

Kitty is right, the levels of prolactin in your body may be causing lower levels of progesterone--> shorter luteal phases. So, I've been looking up studies on Vitex after reading so many anecdotal cases in forums and such and there was a small study done on 52 women that showed lower prolactin levels and longer luteal phases after 3 months Here It's a pretty small study, but I like that it was double-blind which is the standard when it comes to statistical studies. Like all non-controlled substances, you just have to make sure to get it from a reputable source and keep an eye out for any side-effects. I'm actually very intrigued to see if it works for you!

peardrop2 · 10/02/2015 17:43

Ahh that's interesting. Thanks. I remember hearing about Agnus Ca lot on MN when I was TTC bpear. I would just buy it from the local health shop if they sell it. Alternatively I stop the 7pm feed and see how it goes. I should do some more reading up on Agnus stuff first and see when I need to stay taking it etc

I have indeed peaked today. Going to try and dangle my legs once more and then just hope for the best!!!

bringonthetrumpets · 11/02/2015 14:44

Lol. Good luck, dear pear !

My family have left the house a complete disaster and I so don't want to clean it up. Tons of laundry, kitchen is a mess, bedrooms a mess, cat hair on the stairs, toys all over, needs a hoover from the crumbs. I just want to go back to bed, knit, and sleep today. Maybe I should go on strike?

peardrop2 · 11/02/2015 15:09

Bring ~ Imagine DH's face if you stayed in bed knitting all day ????

Apparently I'm not doing enough washing at the moment! I was told off this morning and had to seriously bite my tongue only because I need to keep the peace in the bedroom ??

bringonthetrumpets · 11/02/2015 15:21

Jeesh, you should have seen his face on Friday when I was genuinely puking my f'ing head off and stayed in bed for the day b/c I didn't have enough energy to stand-up. He was complaining about having to take care of the kids instead of being at work and meeting his friend for lunch. I was just like "welcome to the club! welcome to the grown-up, you-don't-get-to-do-what-you-want, you have to take care of kids on a day when you had things planned-club". Hmm

Yeah, gotta get that bun in the oven and then you can get crabby with a good reason that no-one can argue with Grin

kittykatsforever · 11/02/2015 15:38

Ha ha so sly pear, I like it!!! Wink
Pick a fight next week

peardrop2 · 11/02/2015 15:40

Grrrr men! You should have said and I would have FedExd over a river salmon to slap him with ??

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 11/02/2015 15:42

Haha kitty. He is so easily fooled too. I was like...yes darling you're right, I should do more washing, see you at 2pm WinkWink

Lol, Frus! Runt said something earlier that made me hope he didn't say it in public but I can't remember what it was now! Calf's pronunciation has always been very clear - too clear in fact... Like the last time PILs visited & he needed the loo in the middle of dinner the only time he's ever asked to go during the day & he went back down afterwards loudly telling everyone about pushing out his faeces & how he did a wee of urine from his penis. Hmm This was about 30 seconds after I specifically told him that we don't talk about the toilet with anyone except DH or I...

AGnu · 12/02/2015 00:35

I've just remembered what Runt was saying... He'd nearly finished his breakfast & I offered to get the last bits out of his bowl. For once he actually let me help & even asked - I got a random combination of "up" (help), "pees" (please) &, erm, "rape"... He meant scrape... He said it over & over, clearly delighted that it sounded similar to what I was saying. That's one new word that won't be going in his baby book! Blush His official most recent new word is "ah-paw" (apple) he looks so proud of himself whenever he says it! Grin He's going through a phase of trying to copy words - he was attempting dinosaur "suh-saw" & elephant "ed-duh" the other day & he's getting good at recognising sheep "jee" & pigs "" Grin I love this stage!

Is it weird that Calf wasn't like this at all? He obviously listened to us talking & picked up words but he didn't practise them or watch my lips carefully like Runt does, he just started saying fairly clear words. He also wouldn't have brought me a toy animal when asked which is one of Runt's favourite games. Calf would've passed me things but he wouldn't have played games involving collecting what I ask for. The only games he really played until recently involved tickling, peek-a-boo, throwing, banging or running away! He wouldn't have initiated any games with anyone at that age though. He's only recently started asking us to play with him & by 'play with' I mean 'build duplo models while he watches so he can figure out how to copy it'. Urgh. It makes me feel sad when I think back & start comparing the 2 of them. Calf's never been a very interactive child. Sad Runt, on the other hand, will often sidle up to me & rest his head on my leg while sucking his thumb for a minute before running off to play again! It's crazy how different they are! Confused

How's everyone's marital issues? pear have you managed to bite your tongue long enough for the purposes of attempting procreation? Frus should we be concerned that you're encouraging your toddler to shout "cock" at his father? Wink

peardrop2 · 12/02/2015 06:15

Aww at both your babies for talking Envy Bpear still doesn't say anything. I know he's at that right stage because he understands so much and points etc but I do feel a little envious when I hear the cute stories about first words Smile I guess we've still got a while to go before we get a word. Hoping by the time he reaches 2!!! Blush

Agnu - yep things are v good in the pear house thanks! We seem to finally be on the same page and have completed our 7 day miracle mission without tension or stress. It helps so much that I'm at home rather then commuting 4 hours a day. Has just made the world of difference with TTC!

I think the quiet ones usually do start with all of it at once from what I've heard, kitten and tiger are so different to, tigers speech at the point was exceptional, very clear full sentences kitten is a practicer and says a lot of things but no way near as clear much more one words like "pees" please and "jus" juice she can't be one mm away and like to have you touching her/ holding her/ stroking her at all points, as soon as she steps outside she says "hand" and will hold hands the entire duration of a journey, tiger was a bolter!! I permanently worried she'd get hit by a car

bringonthetrumpets · 12/02/2015 14:54

It's not weird at all angu. Kids are so drastically different from each other, even brothers. My eldest sounds very similar to how you are describing your eldest. He was (still is!) very independent, articulate, a thinker and a figure-outer, needed to have very complex things to examine and put together, he was never a kid who played with toys he would rather look at the TV remote and try to figure out how to make the DVD player open. He has always also been someone who will try to figure out how to not follow directions or how to get around being told with a logical reason. It sounds like you may have a little one who's got the make-up of being "gifted" or "spirited" as they tend to share these same characteristics. My second son is also very similar to how yours is. Very cuddly and loves to be around people, loves to be a pleaser, actually plays with toys and use his imagination, will follow directions and is super sensitive to any form of discipline. M is proving to a mixture between the two, but I think she may follow the lines of #1 as she is just as head-strong as he is and has many of the "gifted" characteristics as well. It's like they are so intelligent in some ways that it makes them easily frustrated in others.

I agree with Frus about BPear. I think he's putting it all into storage and one morning he'll just walk in the kitchen and say "mummy, may I please have a slice of toast on the diagonal with a smear of butter and marmalade?" Wink

Speaking of word usage: M was listening to the boys tell knock-knock jokes this morning and now she's saying "knock-knock" so you say "who's there?" and she will just mumble something and then start giggling and covering her mouth with her hands. It is so funny!

Really funny on the "cock" word frus! Also hilarious that Calf was talking about the logistics of the toilet at the table, agnu!

#2 has this weird habit of instead of saying "Mine" he says "mine-guh". No matter how many times we correct him and really emphasize on the "Nnnn" sound, he still does it!

Hi. Sorry. I dropped off the thread! Been made busy of late. Went to Dublin for Dad's 70th birthday (great fun. Bedlam with all the cousins) and we've all been ill with endless nursery colds. Work mad busy so I'm avoiding computers when I get home.

I've read all the updates. Too much to comment on though!

All good with us though. DS is a right chatter box.
