Are you having pregnancy cravings frus???

Well done kitten! My first was the same about poo and would freak out every time with the clenching and preventing. My husband joked that I am the poo-doula bc I would have to go in every flipping time and stroke his back and help him breathe just to relax enough to let it come out. Hopefully this is a major step forward for you!

Oh stink pear! Maybe its already come and gone?

Sooooooooo sick right now. Managed to pick up horrible stomach bug and have been barfing my head off. DH had to stay home today bc I can't get out of bed let alone take care of super-needy M. Sad

Oh no, bring! Hope you feel better soon!

Erm... Frus...? POAS??

Calf used to be awful about pooing. It's only really been the last couple of weeks that we've managed to coax him onto the loo every night at bedtime & now he asks to go. It's still only once a day but that's better than every 3rd day! The other day he even agreed to go in the middle of the day! Unheard of before Christmas!

No idea what his problem is right now. He must've fallen asleep right before I went to fetch him down after his quiet time so I said I'd give him a few minutes to wake up a bit. Ever since then he's been full on screaming at me! I've tried to calm him down but to no avail so now I'm refusing to let him downstairs until he stops shouting. I think he might be possessed! Hmm Usually he'll switch instantly to his "sensible voice" when he finds grizzling isn't getting what he wants but the only word I can make out is Maaaaaaaaammeeeeeeeeee in amongst a whole load of very angry sounding other words. It's giving me a headache but he just won't stop! If I had the faintest idea what he wanted I'd give in! Confused

Well she wouldn't go on the toilet again and had another tiny hold in poo this evening, she didn't enjoy yesterday's sucsess as much as I did obviously Hmm she obviously hated the whole experience, I was just so pleased to seethe first proper poo from her since she was about 6 months old!
Any tips from your ds bring? Is it all about waiting till she's old enough to explain to?

peardrop2 · 06/02/2015 23:19

Oh Kitty Blush that sounds really stressful. Sorry poor little kitten and you're going through this Hmm I don't have any advice to offer except that I've heard of another child who went through it and then grew out of it so I guess they do learn eventually but that doesn't really help the present scenario. No fun at all Sad

So, I am majorly buzzing right now!!! Not because I am back to dangling my legs in the air at stupid way past my bedtime o clock but because DH finally gave in and let us change the layout in our kitchen/dining area. For the last year I have hated it with passion and now we've converted the dining room into bpears playroom and made a small cosey area the other side for eating (only just fits our small dining table). Granted it does mean it is cosey but I LOVE the space that bpear and I will now have during the day to play. I can actually sit or lie with my legs stretched out and not worry about bpear tripping up over me. On top of that I have convinced DH that I should paint our dining room table (away from the mdf and black leather cushions look). Sooooo excited! Hopefully bpear will want to spend more time playing in the kitchen now because it hasn't been such a success but I could see why as I felt so cramped in the space, he probably sensed that I wasn't enjoying it at all.

Can we talk storage? I'm currently looking at those shelves with the holes to put baskets/boxes in. I see that Ikea, GLTC and a few other expensive brands do different options. What do you all find really useful storage wise for toys? Is it best to stick to Ikea? Since you advised me so well on the high chair I am sure you all have storage organised to a tee in your homes!!

Oh lordy, sounds intensly frustrating Agnu

If you POAS Frus, you have to let us know! And also, why the hell do guys get that way? Money fights suck.

bringonthetrumpets · 06/02/2015 23:39

Oh I wish I had some advice for you kitty #1 had problems with it all until he started Kindergarten this year. The worst was that he would hold it when we were out and it would get it in pants and he would smell like a barnyard (but completely deny it all) and the pants just ended up going into the rubbish. It was nearly every day. He takes a little packet of toilet wipes with him to school that he can use and even though right now the pattern is for him to go at home, he's getting better.

I like the storage from Ikea. We have the single-tower version laying on its side so it's like a bench in the playroom. That's awesome that you got a little home-redo! I love changing furniture around. You'll have to take a pic and show us.

peardrop2 · 06/02/2015 23:48

Poor you bring Hmm hope you feel better in the morning Thanks I'll have a look at Ikea now.

Frus ~ have you POAS???? Eeek!

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 07/02/2015 00:13

Ahhhh ok I see the benefits of ikea. It is ALOT cheaper then other solutions. Wow am I going to get a trip to IKEA? Yipeeee

pear we have this under our stairs & DH butchered a shelving unit to make it fit on top. Most of their toys go in the big boxes, books in the drawers & grown up junk on the shelves! I love it! DC seem to enjoy it too - the boxes slide out easily & Calf can carry them around. They're also really good for turning upside down to stand on & reach things that have been deliberately put up high... Hmm

Runt keeps whimpering in his sleep. I said to DH last night that if we didn't give him medicine then he'd probably be waking us up at 3am... 3.15 & he was settling to sleep on top of me! I insisted that he be dosed up as we came to bed but I'm not sure it's helped & am now just lying here waiting for him to demand to flatten me. It was cute when he was a newborn but having the full weight of a sturdily built 19mo on your chest is not conducive to a good night's sleep!

How much would you ladies pay for a second hand bumbo seat with safety belt (no tray) excellent condition? I can't seem to shift mine for £10. Asking too much?

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 07/02/2015 20:19

On my site they sell for around £10 but usually have a tray if you persist you will probably sell it, if you want it gone go for £8

Sounds like we had a similar night agnu. M wouldn't sleep on her own and I was so exhausted from feeling shite for the past couple of days that I just conceded and brought my pillows and blanket into her bed and slept there. It was horrible. She insisted on sleeping on top of me or had her hand on a nipple all night. Then up at 6:30 am, promptly. I had these visions of her waking up angelically and in a great mood after having slept in b/c I shared the night in her bed.... nope. Screaming and pissed off as usual. Hmm

Pear that's really odd. It must have missed the surge then if you've already reached the half-way point. Have you thought about taking herbs and hormone-balancing supplements?

peardrop2 · 09/02/2015 05:33

Bring - hope you've had a better night? I've read up about lutuel phase defect and understand that vit c, b6, green leaf veg, salmon, nuts, eggs and Vitex are all meant to help. I am so willing to try herbal remedies!!! I don't know what Vitex is. Are those the things you suggest? I'm still taking omega 3 and multi vitamins that contain b6. Ov even taking them since I fell pregnant with bpear. The other thing I'm going to do is stop the 7pm feed as I understand that might help with hormones. I'll still have the 7am feed more like 6am

Oh and I managed to give us food poisoning last night. My DH deserves a medal because even though he felt terrible he still managed to continue are EOD mission. At least I know for sure that the amount of DtD is not the cause!! Can't keep it up for much longer think we're Dtd more than when I fell pregnant with Bpear Blush

OP posts:
AGnu · 09/02/2015 07:36

Oh no pear! Hope you all recover quickly!

Bring we had a terrible night again last night. We've started attempting to get them to sleep in the same room. Ended up having to separate them, waited until Runt was asleep & transferred him in. Except they both have coughs. Just before I was ready for bed Runt started coughing & woke them both up. I ended up having to get changed faster than usual & had Runt on top of me & Calf on my arm. It's a good thing we have a single & double bed shoved against each other! Must've taken nearly an hour to get them both settled in their own beds. Calf started crying again at 5 but we just hushed him & he went back to sleep. I've woken up with a bad eye again though because I was too busy trying to sort them out to get a wheat bag on my eyes. Sad I miss my good sleepers!

peardrop2 · 09/02/2015 07:43

Cd22 and CBfm is finally saying high. Thank the heavens that finally something is happening!! Unfortunately though if I peak in the next two days my LP will probably be too short as AF is due in 12 days time Hmm

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 09/02/2015 07:45

Sorry 11 days until AF

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 09/02/2015 23:38

Your luteal phase should still be the same length as it usually is pear, your cycle length will just be a bit longer due to the delay in ovulation. I wouldn't recommend taking Vitex unless you speak with an herbalist or a Traditional Chinese Medicine Provider as it may not agree with your body's composition and do more harm than good. Do you think you have luteal phase defect?

You poor things! I do empathetically feel your stomach pains. Just finally managed to eat normally today without feeling like I'll be sick afterward.

Ouch agnu I hope your eye clears. Sad
