Xmas market looked lovely but the concerts and entertainment seemed to be not happening. Will go again next weekend if it is not raining. Discovered an amazing Italian supermarket. The town it is in seems to have a huge Italian population so plan to pop back during the week and go mad buy a few bits and bobs.

Passmethecrisps · 13/12/2014 18:16

Where did my post go?

Passmethecrisps · 13/12/2014 18:20

Passmethecrisps · 13/12/2014 18:34

BigPigLittlePig · 13/12/2014 19:40

Hi Pass. Good day??

Pikz · 13/12/2014 19:41

Pass is joe sober and your not?

OP posts:
Elizadoesdolittle · 13/12/2014 20:00

pass I hope you're not sober!

Curry ordered Smile Think I might watch love actually. Want to watch a christmassy film. My favourite is Elf but DD1 might like that this year.

Passmethecrisps · 13/12/2014 21:45

Joe is probably sober. No idea. I am fairly soaked but got home to a small person hyper excited about one of DH's friends who has called round to visit. "Look mummy! My bill!"

She has literally just gone down so I feel much more sober and much more lmackered than before.

Fabulous afternoon though of gliuwein, french dining, fizzy wine and more wine.

And raucous laughing and more wine

BigPigLittlePig · 13/12/2014 22:07

Fell asleep on the sofa an hour ago.

We have initiated the big move tonight. H has gone to the loft. Spent half hour playing up there this afternoon. Putting his soft toys and books by his bed. Took his duvet and pillow in. Showed him his bed. We bounced on the bed. Bed time was a lil stressful. Was gong to try CC. However chickened out and lay in his bed with him. Glad I did. He calmed down straight away. I tried to get up and he start saying no no mummy lie down lie down. Which I found weird as we have not co slept since he was 5months during out trip to India.
Any way 5 mins later he is wide awake and A starts crying. So I tell H, A brother (that's what he calls him ) is crying. I have to go now. Kiss and cuddle and he let me go fine. So relieved. As I first lay down with him I just had these visions on having to stay with him until he slept for months.
A is now in H's old room. Very weird not having to creep into bed in the dark!
Going to have to go the CC route as nothing else works with him. Not looking forward to it. Better get to sleep so I'm ready for first wake up.

GTbaby · 14/12/2014 04:44

Sad This is exhausting. We are on 10second crying bursts. Here's hoping to a bit more sleep tonight.

Wandathewindfairy · 14/12/2014 08:17

I would get up but is still pitch black out there.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/12/2014 08:35

So it would seem F is afraid of the dark Hmm She woke at 12, screaming the place down and saying mummy bed mummy bed. So poor dh ended up on the sofa bed, and once me and F were in bed, I turned the light out and was met with shrieks of "no dark no dark, scary".

Anyway.

Brew anyone?

Wandathewindfairy · 14/12/2014 08:41

Thanks. Please bP O did that to me the other week upset because it was dark and apparently there was a monster!

Ds1 doesn't think O will get any presents from Santa because he is naughty Xmas Shock

BigPigLittlePig · 14/12/2014 10:16

I feel mega crabby this morning. Like pmt, only, not. I need to get back to work, big time. See some adults, get out the house. And all that coffee making has exhausted our coffee supplies

PetiteRaleuse · 14/12/2014 10:24

When do you go back piggy ?

This morning I got up early, baked a cake, did brunch and have a curry in the slow cooker for this evening.

Would love to go back to bed but have friends coming for cake and coffee late afternoon and have to clean the mudbath that is my floors. Again.

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/12/2014 10:25

Curry was delish but made baby do all kinds of strange things! And watched guardians of the galaxy instead of love actually so not very christmassy at all.

Must go. E is saying help me. Her favourite phrase at the moment. Wooden bricks need building!

PetiteRaleuse · 14/12/2014 12:34

Chocolate and caramel pots, identical to Rolo pots, are now in France. This is a wonderful and terrible thing. Wonderful as I miss them so much from the UK. Terrible as I have absolutely no self control as far as they are concerned.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/12/2014 12:58

Sounds great PR.

Don't worry about self control. Life's too short.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/12/2014 13:05

Life's too short.

But my trousers are too tight :o

Pikz · 14/12/2014 16:49

Eerk first babysitting that isn't nanny tonight as she is coming with us. Have his key worker from nursery!

OP posts:
BigPigLittlePig · 14/12/2014 17:12

I tell you what, Pikz, if F found her key worker here, she'd never want mummy and daddy back! Enjoy your night out!

Lily311 · 14/12/2014 19:00

bo o is afraid of the dark too. She has fairy lights on all night, gives her just enough light to see a bit. They are battery operated though, I don't trust the plugged in ones.

pikz o loves her babysitter. Which makes me wonder who uses sitters often? I have 2 girls coming, both once a week, either In the afternoon to play with her for an hour or so or in the evening when I go out to see my friends. One has been babysitting for her since she was 5.5 months old and they adore each other. My parents live 15miles away so have no one to rely on just the sitters.

pr rolooooo. I hate you. Again.

Went to Ikea today, bought lots of small things. Very happy with my purchases.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/12/2014 20:41

I have no sitters. Never have done. Haven't even left them with DH for more than an hour or two.

Luckily I have creche and school.

I have a creche worker lines up to sit. But not dared do it yet.

I get v Envy of people having childfree nights out. Last Saturday was my first grown up evening out in over two years (previous ones only being at my ex-neighbours).

I have been offered a girls' night out with DH at home. I'm not sure I want it. I have become a real homebody.

Passmethecrisps · 14/12/2014 22:02

Just one night away can be totally refreshing. It doesn't actually matter if you enjoy the night itself as it is the act of leaving which is important.

I was not looking forward to yesterday at all but felt renewed. We are fantastically lucky to have family who are forcing us out the door when we visit so they can babysit. I rarely take them up on it but I know we can.

More an issue for us is a typical working week if I have a parents evening and DH teaches night school. It hasn't been a problem yet but it will happen and I worry about kt
