Just wrote a long message on the old thread only to have it not post because we'd filled it.

We really ought to do less chatting and more sleeping Wink

nature ...oh, and God forbid F gets woken up artificially... Or ye gods, unexpectedly... No word of a lie, he is weepy and grumpy for an hour afterwards...

mythree your dad sounds like a pain! Any clues as to why he's so super needy yet uncommunicative as and when the whim takes him?! Also, snowman pic.. Urgh.

BookTart · 07/01/2015 09:14

Oh yeah nature, waking up sad is the default setting here. Sometimes she's okay and happy, which is great, but mostly sobbing. On rare occasions she is so upset that she's shaking, which I guess must be nightmares Sad

I had my first pelvic floor physio appointment yesterday. It was fine, but the problem isn't my pelvic floor apparently, the ligaments around my uterus and other organs haven't shrunk back due to my hypermobility, so my organs are just flapping about Blush I have to do exercises and go back next month.

I'm sitting waiting for a health visitor to come and talk to me about my PND now. This will be my first proper appointment about it, so I'm a bit worried. I'm sure she'll be lovely though. I self-referred for counselling, but instead they want me to go to supervised craft sessions while P goes in a creche. I'm not totally sold on this idea, but it has to be worth a go, right?

Naturegirl82 · 07/01/2015 10:27

Good luck for the appointment book. Hope the HV is nice and useful and I'm sure she will put you at ease. First appointments are always the worst but I'm sure you will feel much better about it afterwards.

TobyLerone · 07/01/2015 10:35

Good luck with the HV, book. Send her round to.me when you're done, would you? I'm having a terrible day. M is biting me at every feed, without warning and at any given point in the proceedings, to the point that it actually makes me scream. She's just screamed for an hour because she was tired and wanted feeding but bit me every time I tried so I stopped.

She's just fallen asleep exhausted on me, doing that sobbing thing you do when you've been crying. Now I'm stuck.under her when I should be making her birthday cake/going to Sainsbury's/wrapping her presents/going to.the library/emptying the washing machine and any number of other things.

I shouted at her earlier :( It's her last day of being a baby and it's shit :(

God toby that sounds hellish. Anything I can do to help? I'm going to the library this afternoon - I could take your books back if that's any use? Or I can wrangle M and P while you do the cake?

The HV wasn't an HV, but rather a Sure Start person. They are going to make me do decoupage Sad I scored quite high on her misery quiz thing though, so she's going to chase up my counselling for me. I have to go to the Sure Start centre next week to see the creche that P will go in. She was so sweet all morning until the woman came, then she turned into a nagging, whining nightmare.

I've got a sinus infection at the moment, and haven't really slept much for a few days. I just went to my local chemist in desperation, as paracetamol isn't even touching the pain, and he's given me a combination of stuff to take that I am very much looking forward to Grin

FelixFelix · 07/01/2015 12:42

Hope it goes ok book.

Sorry you're having a rubbish day Toby Sad

I've just taken S to the baby group at the children's centre. She was the oldest by 3 months and the only crawler. It was a nightmare and I had to hover over her constantly. She seemed like a right little terror!! Not sure if I'll be going back.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 07/01/2015 13:00

book I had bad pnd with ds1, scored really high too. I ended up on ADs and it was fine. Within 6/7 months I began to be mr again.

toby sounds hellish! I believe they pick up on how you feel and react. Gits.

I'm on the train to Newcastle as I type. It's odd. My dad is picking me up at the station, it's almost like the past 10 years haven't happened. It'll feel more like that when he drops me in town to see my best friend then picks me up again!

TobyLerone · 07/01/2015 13:12

Aw, thanks, book. That's very kind. She's still asleep on me so that's today written off! The library can wait until later in the week and I'll just make the cake on Friday in between music class and afternoon tea! It won't take long, but I've been sitting in the rocking chair under a baby for 2.5 hours and my bum is numb and I'm starving!
I'm going to pick up DS from school at 3.45 and he can come to the party/cake supplies shop and the supermarket with me. And I'll wrap the presents instead of sleeping tonight :o

Hope it all goes ok, million. And I hope H has a lovely birthday tomorrow and you don't miss him too much.

Felix, baby groups are basically a write-off now. Too big for baby groups, too small for toddlers.

I'm sorry, book, but I laughed at decoupage :o

OP posts:
FelixFelix · 07/01/2015 13:13

Sorry book x post! I can see why craft sessions could help but they really aren't everyone's cup of tea. Hope the stuff from the chemist works! I'm sick of being ill now.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 08/01/2015 08:58

Happy birthday P!

Swannykazoo · 08/01/2015 12:45

Demand clay not decoupage! Hope it helps book though I can totally understand why you might be Hmm
Nursery is going ok - actually had some happy baby pictues from them yesterday. Whatever was majorly upsetting LP's sleep also might be settling down as had no hourly wake-ups - though the new thing is a worrying tendency to want to use me as a pillow.....and never thought I'd be pleased to "only" get woken up every 2-3 hours...
My next miracle will be to see a bit of action with DH...

TobyLerone · 08/01/2015 21:29

Are things better with DH now, puggle?

It was M's birthday today. We went to the zoo in the rain :o

OP posts:
Naturegirl82 · 08/01/2015 21:34

Happy birthday M.

FelixFelix · 08/01/2015 21:56

Yay happy birthday M! I love the zoo.

After sleeping quite well recently, S has started waking up hysterically crying throughout the evening. She's doing it right now and nothing is soothing her apart from me being literally right next to the cot. Any ideas what it might be? I've even resorted to the old bottle of milk method but she's drank it and still screaming. It's been happening for the past week. Last night I ended up bringing her downstairs and she sat with us for half an hour then went back to sleep without a peep. Weird!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 08/01/2015 23:06

Damn, I meant M I hope the zoo was fun! We're going to Chester zoo next week I think with the boys

Felix Henry has been doing that for the past week. No idea why, but we're going with it for now

Naturegirl82 · 09/01/2015 06:24

No idea Felix sorry.

million we love Chester Zoo, we are members and go all the time. O loves it Smile

Swannykazoo · 09/01/2015 08:21

happy birthday M! Zoo in th rain is ace I think.
Not sure things are much better at all with DH - a lot of what Million said rang very true for me/us. Hopefully him working away a few days a week might help a bit - certainly we actually had a bit of a chat when he came home rather than him just sitting gawping at BBC News/football on the laptop. I'm hoping some action might help remind us of the fun stuff not just the daily grind...

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 09/01/2015 10:08

Hello all, just catching up.

So very sad to hear about lovely Becca, what a shit thing to happen.

Nature congratulations! How exciting!

Happy birthdays to those who've had them - Alex's is in just over a week, and we're also going to the zoo. She's walking happily now, so will be able to potter about and try and fall into the lion enclosure safely enjoy the animals from behind screens/bars. Grin

TobyLerone · 09/01/2015 12:58

The zoo in the rain was crap! All the animals were hiding. We bought tickets that let you go all year, though, so we'll get lots of use out of them. Our nearest zoo.is like a mountain range, so I might go every time I'm bored, for the exercise!

Sorry to.hear things are not much better, puggle. Hopefully the changes will make a difference.

Welcome back, humpty!

We're going for afternoon tea soon. It was also my mum's birthday yesterday, and seeing as we sort of overshadowed it last year, we decided to spoil her a bit this year. So afternoon tea it is. I'm excited :o

Welcome back humpty!

toby mmmn... Afternoon tea... Cake Cake Cake

MerryPops · 09/01/2015 21:14

Happy birthday to M and H, sorry it's a bit late, been manic this week.

We had a random period of screaming around a month ago, it was a nightmare for a while but he gradually got better each night and now he is back to normal. Felix regarding switching to cows milk we are ff and due to introduce it a week on Monday so I will let you know how we get on.

A took his first steps on Weds, we are currently up to about 4 before falling over. His mood seems much better since he started so think it has been frustrating him for a little while.

Anyone up to anything good this weekend?

Naturegirl82 · 09/01/2015 21:59

There is quite a big wonder weeks leap at this age which is accompanied by crying apparently. I really should remember to check that first!

Welcome back humpty

TobyLerone · 09/01/2015 22:26

A Wonder Week explains A Lot!

Well done, A! I don't think M will be walking for a long time.

Afternoon tea was lovely :) M ate her own bodyweight! She had a ham and mustard sandwich, a whole piece of banana cake, a lemon posset in a shot glass, tons of fruit... She loved it :o

I have finally finished her birthday cake! We're having an open house thing for family etc tomorrow. We were going to pay someone to make the cake because I knew it would be a busy week, but time got away from me with Christmas etc, and I've ended up doing it myself because I forgot to order it Blush

OP posts:
BookTart · 09/01/2015 22:30

Yes, I think I read that it is a big developmental leap. P has started to refuse all naps by screaming until she's so worked up that she can't stop. I have no idea what to do, so I'm putting her in the car and driving for an hour so she gets a nap. Each nap is therefore costing a tenner in petrol, marvellous.

All set for her birthday tomorrow. Luckily my mum came down today, as I've got sinusitis and I'm in so much pain that even codeine isn't helping it. I've made and decorated a cake (first time ever!) and it isn't too horrific, and the front room is full of balloons Smile I hope she likes it.

DH has spent the evening watching TV and popping into the kitchen every few minutes to tell me that I'm doing it wrong. Tosser Angry

AMillionNameChangesLater · 09/01/2015 22:58

A wonder week makes sense, the only thing which seems to be working is feeding Henry up loads at tea time.

It's his party at soft play tomorrow. They wouldn't let us pay because she said that some people might not turn up, so we would only have to pay for those who came, which is nice. We have bought a minion cake as DS1 loved them. Hr calls them Po- tea-tay-toes. Which is sweet.

Now I'm swerving between wondering no one will come, and worrying too many will.

But Henry can say Hiya now, which is lovely!
