Glad LO is better, pr.

Happy birthday to kyzs E Cake

Hope Elizas heating stays fixed, and Wandas weather woes (see what I did there?) are short lived.

Heaps of Thanks for Det, of course.

Poxy badness persists, we ended up making the sofa bed up in the lounge and putting Peppa on last night. Think she got 4 hours sleep. She was distraught for an age, just screaming mummy mummy ap me (help me) - felt rubbish as there was nothing else to be done Sad

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/11/2014 16:30

Ah poor little F. It's heart breaking when they don't understand there is nothing you can do to help.

Not sure wanda. We knew it needed doing and was hoping to tie it in with the extension work but that keeps getting further away. For now I'm just basking in the warmth.

Rowingdowntheriver · 06/11/2014 19:07

Sorry you've got a poxy little one. Hopefully it'll start getting better tomorrow.

Pass, that asthma attack sounds really scary. Hope you are feeling better today.

I'm shattered today, have been stressed out with work deadlines and trying to fit them round the kids then on top of that my bleeding Internet was down for a whole day and then I had a situation with a neighbour that took up all my free time yesterday.

My poor neighbour is an elderly gentleman, I don't know him well as he and his wife have a few houses so are not around here that often. He knocked on my door yesterday with a young man and as soon as I opened the door he pushed passed me and told the young man he could go. Turns out my neighbour has bad dementia and thought his carer was trying to murder him. He wouldn't leave my house, or me, as he was terrified. Was so sad and I had no clue how to deal with the situation. The 'carer' had even less clue. I had to phone my dad who used to be a psychiatric nurse back in the 70's to ask his advice.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/11/2014 19:54

Rowing I would phone the duty social worker if you are able to. Sounds scary and yes, dementia is a terribly sad disease.

Pox monster in bed for now, dosed on calpol and piriton, after a mammoth 3 hour nap this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

PetiteRaleuse · 06/11/2014 19:59

Goodness rowing he and you must have been so scared and confused.

LO not right. Am wondering if she has picked up coldsores from someone. Or just vvv chapped lips. Still no fever but she is mighty pissed off.

I am accompanying DD1's class on their autumn walk tomorrow morning. I didn't volunteer. The teacher just put a note in her book asking telling me.

I then offered to go on their school trip to a fab castle in a few weeks. But she said no, she had enough volunteers. I think I drew the short straw.

Fab exhibition and amazing castle no. Freezing autumnal walk sans dog with risk of freezing rain yes. Sticky sodding fruit salad yes.

Kyz · 06/11/2014 21:56

Evening all :) Thankyou all for the birthday wishes for E, he's had a fab day and has been very spoilt by family and friends, he's loved it! I still can't believe the difference in him in two years! To think that this time two years ago I had this precious bundle. I know now that unconditional love really is something special and my word i've never loved anything so much in my life! For some such reason or another i suspect pregnancy hormones I woke up in tears this morning, my little boy is growing up! I'll stop waffling now, but I do love my longhaired, tall boy with his funny accent, stroppy temper ok not so much and quirky ways.

gosh pass that must've been scary stuff. You're ok now though right?

luis that sounds lovely :)

hope everything goes ok at the appt donna

bless her lily hopefully she'll be ok at her next drop off. Did you get any studying done at the end?

glad you have heating now eliza!

bless her pr hope she's all better soon

how has the detox gone wanda?

gosh bless her bp hope the pox piss off soon

rowing that sounds quite scary, poor fellow and poor you

oooh pr that's unfair, you would've thought you'd get dibs on the good trip after the fruit salad helping you did!

Passmethecrisps · 06/11/2014 22:03

Poor wee piggy. That sounds so sad

You are on their list now pr. There will be no end of fruit salad and compulsory forest walks! I get cold sores and a bad one is usually accompanied by feeling rough - I never know which one comes first. Poor wee soul.

P has a new thing. If I do something g which pleases her like tell her we are seeing granny and grampa or hat she is having sausages for dinner I get called "clever mummy!"

Tonight she was talking to one granny and she insisted that pink bear had to have a chat. She then full on kissed the phone at the end of the chat.

Cute!

Passmethecrisps · 06/11/2014 22:04

Happy birthday little kyzman!!

Yes, I am fine now, thanks. I am taking my preventer properly now as this scared me into action.

StuntNun · 07/11/2014 05:43

We have had two nights sleeping through after J's egg challenge on Wednesday so we are now officially okay with well-cooked egg. What a relief as his birthday cake now only needs to be dairy-free, not egg-free as well. He's okay on well-cooked dairy too so he can try his first ever Yorkshire pudding at the weekend.

OP posts:
PetiteRaleuse · 07/11/2014 06:59

Mmmmmm. Yorkshire pudding. Might make some this weekend.

Lily311 · 07/11/2014 07:33

Great news stunt.

Any birthdays today?

Studying again, need to finish the course material as assignment is due next week.

What are the plans for the weekend? I'm going winter coat shopping with my mum tomorrow than try not to see my brother in the afternoon (long story but I just don't feel like). I'm meeting a friend and her son on Sunday so hopefully will be nice and relaxing.

Wandathewindfairy · 07/11/2014 07:48

The detox was great kyz it was just a one day one and started with a smoothie of blueberries, banana, chia seed and coconut water which was yum and very filling and then a salad mix for lunch and a salad for tea. I did feel full up actually and had energy at the end of the day so I am chuffed. I will do it one day next week too.

Today is the day my mum died and tomorrow is the day O was born. So an emotional couple of days. I always find both days emotional I don't know why, I always think back to the last days I carried them and get nostalgic for that special time.

The last days before O, DH worked from home as I had a latent labour for the four days before I had him, we watched films, walked In The leaves to Costa and I was chauffeured to reflexology.

The boys had Toad in the Hole for tea yesterday and loved it.

How is all the other stuff stunt?

I never realised cold sores could be so awful pass pr .

Tonight I have SIL and another girl coming over to help me to construct a tractor cake for O and tomorrow will mainly just be about being at home with the family I think.

YellowWellies · 07/11/2014 07:58

Wanda big cuddles to you. She'd be so very very proud of you and her beautiful GC. I'm the same with Lil, she was born the day after my Mum's anniversary - it makes the day a bit softer but perhaps even more poignant. Lots of love to you my dearThanks Thanks Thanks

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/11/2014 08:06

wanda Thanks The anniversary of deaths and births are very emotive days. Hugs xx

I have soooo much to do over the next couple days. So what am I doing this morning? Meeting a friend for brunch. I do love a good brunch.

Lily311 · 07/11/2014 09:04

wanda huge hugs. Anniversaries of death ones are always emotional but I'm sure you are as awesome mum as she was to you. Xxx

PetiteRaleuse · 07/11/2014 09:36

wanda hugs x

Back from cold autumn walk. Was given a group of six kids to control. It was fun but my throat now hurts.

StuntNun · 07/11/2014 09:45

Soya seems to be a bit of a red herring Wanda, he can have it occasionally without trouble but every day sets him off. Hard boiled egg and margarine containing dairy still set him off but we're definitely seeing progress. He loves his 'cow biscuits' (malted milks). I'm going to attempt a four-layer rainbow cake for his birthday next week. I must be mad as baking isn't my forte must not dash off to Lakeland to buy a cake leveller. I've ordered a personalised Thomas the Tank Engine cake topper from eBay so all I have to do is bake sponges and smear (ready-made) frosting around so hopefully it'll work. DS1 and DS2 always get shop-bought cakes but maybe I need to branch out and make more of an effort.

Rowingdowntheriver · 07/11/2014 11:01

Hugs wanda as everyone else says, anniversary are saddening and all the more poignant being so close to O's birthday x

Rowingdowntheriver · 07/11/2014 11:06

bplp do you really think I should call a social worker? I've not done anything about it since it happened, not even been round to see his wife as I don't want her to be embarrassed or upset that I had to get involved. I had though of seeing her just so she knows what happened and to make sure she knows that the carer was totally out of his depth. I might pop over later and see what she says first and if she doesn't have it all under control then call social services. He should not have been left with an unqualified 'carer' (I think this was the agencies fault and not hers) he should be with a nurse specialising in mental health care.

Have a lovely time pennie and happy birthday to your dd Cake

BigPigLittlePig · 07/11/2014 14:22

Oh I hadn't clocked that he had a wife, Rowing. Then yes, speak to the wife and let her know, they will appreciate a concerned neighbour seeing how things are, I am sure.

Think we need to see some new bday cake pics, or ar we all living in awe of the tractor cake!?

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/11/2014 14:49

Happy birthday to your DD donna.

rowing yes I agree, have a word with his wife. I'm sure she would want to know.

Very blowy here. Got the fireworks display at DD1S school this evening. I hope it calms down by then!

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/11/2014 14:50

Sorry I quite clearly meant pennies DD and not donnas. I blame baby brain!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/11/2014 19:22
