eliza and miss, yes you will find the newborn fits in to your routine quite naturally. Until bedtime that it when there will be lots of screaming and tears for a month or so if your house is anything like ours. I couldn't see anyway around doing bedtime for 3 kids without loads of upset. Thankfully the worst of it was over in about 6 weeks when the youngest started falling asleep on the floor while I bathed the boys and got them into bed. Good luck with that!

Lily311 · 04/11/2014 06:49

Morning,

Happy birthday det.

Lots on my to do list today, starting with ironing. We have a play date with a friend this afternoon, I can't wait!!

If you have a girl and still thinking about birthday/Xmas presents, I suggest ponies. We have 9 of them (curtesy of 2 older cousins who have a collection of 50) and she left them like this this morning. She took the baby ones to bed with her last night, apparently the mummy ones don't need a cuddle.

We have pox Confused

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/11/2014 09:54

rowing Thanks. It's bedtime that I am dreading the most. Luckily DD1 is really good at going to bed and E is too as long as I do it. I think like you said the first month or so will be tough but hopefully after that it will settle down. And at least with a nb you can put it down and know it's not going anywhere. So whilst it may not be happy it will at least be safe! Sounds really tough not having any mat leave and having to work with I on your lap!

lily one thing we don't have is any ponies. Seem to have everything else so that's a good idea. It's something that E and DD1 will be able to share fight over.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/11/2014 09:55

Oh and I meant to say Sad to minipiggie having pox. Hope she doesn't suffer too badly.

Pikz · 04/11/2014 19:58

Poor poxy piggie Hmm

FatimaLovesBread · 04/11/2014 20:02

Yay, found the thread again! I somehow lost it [hnm]

I have been ill for 10 days now, bloody fed up, dragged my arse in to work and I reckon that's made it last even longer. I currently feel like the right side of my face is in a pressure bucket and can hardly hear out of my right ear.

Off to catch up

BigPigLittlePig · 04/11/2014 20:07

She's not too bad, hardly any on her face, but loads in her ears and hair that are driving her mad. Fingers crossed for an ok night for her.

Wanda have your girls gone back now? Forgot to say the other day, the rockpool photo you put on fb was lovely. Am well jell of all those in spitting distance of the coast. One day Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/11/2014 20:08

So E just fell down the stairs. From top to bottom. It happened so quickly I'm not even sure how it happened. We were both at the top, she got hold of the bannister and I went to hold her other hand when the next minute she just tumbled down the stairs. And then it was like slow motion! Thank goodness it was the stairs leading up to to the loft conversion so she had a softer landing on the hall carpet and also the extension lead that followed after her didn't hit her on the head! She was shaken up and crying but calmed down quite quickly once I had got myself together and managed to make it quite jokey. She's in bed now. Hopefully no damage done!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2014 20:16

Scary eliza glad she is ok.

Sorry to hear about a piglet with pox.

And a poorly fatima

And I think possibly a poorly kyz ?

LO has white painful blisters on her tongue. Assuming viral as has had a cold and has half lost her voice (cute, must film her!). Doesn't look like thrush. Was fine four hours ago, eating normally. Has come on in the evening. Will take her to paed tomorrow to double check it is not thrush and get a prescription for free paracetamol. No fever so assume not hf&m or the weird herpangina DD1 got last xmas which was mouth only and pretty traumatic for her.

Upside is she demanded halloween sweets, gave them her and she couldn't eat them. Plain pasta was fine. Am hoping that will cure her of the post halloween sugar addiction Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2014 20:19

I am also jealous of quichester coast dwellers. I have never missed the sea as much as I have the last week. Very occasionally here if the wind is strong and in precisely the right direction we get a whiff of the sea. (300 km away) and since our hols every morning when I take the dog out I sniff the air to see if I can smell it. The dog also sniffs the air when he goes out. Am now worried that someone will see us both sniffing as I open the back door Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2014 20:35

Oh. And my new netflix addictionis Suits. Fluff, cute blokes, v alpha male and goes against my feminism, but I like it.

Zamboni · 04/11/2014 20:41

Sorry for poorliness across the quiche.

Suits is wrong but immense PR.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2014 21:04

Isn't it? So wrong?! But so fab. Like Ally McBeal but with less of the weirdness. Though that was also wrong but fab in its day.

YellowWellies · 04/11/2014 21:21

Am chilling on the couch with Lilla snoring gently in the crook of my arm. Bliss.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2014 21:23

How is her suspected reflux going yw ?

Lovely picture you paint there. I did enjoy those quiet evenings when they sleep on you and you just can't face popping them in their cot

Hallo beautiful ladies and chap.

So sorry about the pox bp. How is she now?

Lovely to hear from you rowing. I have been noting down all the advice from the second and third (and fourth and fifth!!) time parents.

Second late night at work this week - parents' evening last night and a careers event tonight. All nice though but pretty pooped ready - it should really be Thursday! And o have seen p for an hour since yesterday 7am Sad

DH is currently looking at hotels in Poland for a wedding we have been invited to in May. I will need to beg for a day off unfortunately but it would be amazing!! I am already excited and i didn't used to be a holiday person.

wanda I so get your holiday excitement now!!

How is everyone else?

BigPigLittlePig · 05/11/2014 06:41

We have been up since 4 Envy

Holiday sounds exciting, Pass.

Think I might go and make a strong Brew

StuntNun · 05/11/2014 06:53

I don't want to worry you PR but could it be measles? I'm sure it isn't but I know white spots in the mouth are one of the first signs. Maybe PFB is catching though as my DB was just up for a visit and when my DNephew had a viral rash and a mild temperature you would have thought it was bubonic plague - he was ready to take him to A&E for what was clearly a cold.

OP posts:
PetiteRaleuse · 05/11/2014 06:57

I doubt it stunt she has had the jabs and I haven't heard of any cases locally.

Zamboni · 05/11/2014 07:16

Morning everyone. It is so mild here! Waiting for a train and don't need coat or cardy it's so mild. My chum from the enemy another firm is getting the same train as we're off to the same event, so catch up on the train and then am meeting someone else who now lives in the town I am off to for coffee so today I am making the most of a day out of the office am ignoring the mountains of work Grin

Rowing I don't know how you do it! I guess second/third time round you are more aware that the tiredness does wear off and it won't be like this forever - I found RTW easier after S compared with after DD for that reason.

Hop

Zamboni · 05/11/2014 07:17

Hope all the poorly ones start to improve.

Exciting Pass - will it be easy to get hol approved?

Pikz · 05/11/2014 07:26

Sneaking in for a quiche cuddle and to bring coffeeBrew

Zamboni · 05/11/2014 07:27
