Good luck zamboni

I have two toddlers coming on a playdate. One is arriving in 15 minutes Fortunately LO is going to nursery.

Pikz · 30/10/2014 07:49

Waves and brings Brew

Zamboni · 30/10/2014 07:58

How are things Pikz? Is your household fully recovered from all the vom?

Wow PR. You're a social butterfly at the moment!

YW love how besotted J is. They adapt so well. And it only gets better when L will interact with J too Grin

Pass we do a lot of that - this is what is happening in 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute. This is what we 're doing next week, at the weekend. It seems to help - DC object less to going upstairs, turning Fireman Sam off, going to bed, finishing the story etx when they have been prepared for it.

On this subject I have been explaining the cinema to DD. I am taking her for the first time this weekend - we are seeing Beauty and the Beast which our local cinema is showing. I am pretty sure it was the first film I saw at the cinema in 1991. Possibly the second. But still. S is not coming - no chance of him sitting still that long. He and DH are going to bash things with hammers Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2014 08:00

It's school holidays zamboni I will go back to being a hermit as of Monday :o

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2014 18:44

Quiet here!!

Playdate was noisy and I am knackered. DH taking DD1 to soft play hell tomorrow and to buy costumes for what has become a costume party on Saturday Hmm

I have classes alllll morning.

LO slept 3 hours at nursery so have a loooong evening ahead.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/10/2014 19:15

yw I was reading back and am a tad Envy but v happy that the bear is accepting his little sister so well. The first six weeks until LO smiled DD1 was neutral. When she started smiling she was far more interested so will be interesting to see how J takes the relationship to that level. I bet you will be able to occupy them both for hours with one trying to make the other smile and laugh.

I have been spending quite a bit of time this week with a 8mo and I love the uncomplicated gummy grin when they see something they like. Mama. Or Dog. And they grab whatever it is with an open mouth and snog them. Grin That was a cute phase.

Day went ok. Submitted the sodding assignment about Harry Potter, went to the supermarket with O than did nothing. Oh, I went for a run too. Need to start studying again tomorrow, I'm feeling so behind with everything.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/10/2014 20:47

Quiet quiet.

Just catching up on dancing - Eliza, agree Judy needs to go!

Bit anxious about my aunt atm, she's having urgent scans for a liver problem. She's the same age her mum was when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Yw a recent pic of your 2 bears wouldn't go amiss Wink

YellowWellies · 30/10/2014 22:13

We are off to a family photo shoot on Saturday (fundraising for my sisters toddler group) so will post some pics from that Smile

Pikz · 31/10/2014 08:03

Hi everyone. Sorry for the quietness.

Hope everyone is ok. We are all a lot better over here.

Have finally taken control and we are back on the infertility roundabout . The good news is I feel like I'm doing something about it rather than just getting upset.
In law visit soon. Not sure about a two year old on a plane for 11 hours!

Elizadoesdolittle · 31/10/2014 08:49

pikz Glad you are feeling better about the whole ttc thing.

Going to be a lovely warm day today so we are off to a country park to do a Halloween nature trail.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/10/2014 18:49

Anothet quiet day here.

Hmm.

Well I am providing savoury snacks for a late Halloween party tomorrow. Was mega relaxed until a few minutes ago. When I remembered that Nov the 1st is a public holiday in all of my local countries.

The shops will be closed.

No bank holiday shopping here. Everything will be shut. There may be a corner shop open a few cities away.

Fun fun. tomorrow will be spent being imaginative with my freezer contents.

YellowWellies · 31/10/2014 19:40

Trick or treating with a reluctant Jedi knight and his cousins (a witch and a ghost) cue everyone we doorstepped fawning over the newborn in the sling. Bedtime was filled with shrieks of "sweeties!!!!!" long day!

Elizadoesdolittle · 31/10/2014 20:42

No trick or treating here. We didn't go and nobody knocked. We did have fun at the halloween trail though and DD1 and E got more than enough sweets for one day on that.

Baby sat DN tonight. DH was working late then meeting a friend for drinks so I did bed time alone. All kids in bed by 8pm. Not bad. Just yummed a hot chocolate and a muffin. I'm now about to watch a programme i sky plused about still borns. Why do I do these things to myself!

Passmethecrisps · 31/10/2014 20:51

Friday! Fuck yeah!

No guising for p. She was sent off to nursery with a very cursory attempt at fancy dress clutching a set on wings and a wand. We had three knocks - one group of lovely boys, one group of enthusiastic but slightly greedy girls who cleaned us out and another very determined group who knocked, rang bell, clattered post box etc until they eventually left. It was bath time and greedy girls cleaned us out. I kind of feel that if I display my interest with pumpkins then bring it on but otherwise not. We put a sign on the door saying we were all out of treats and baby was sleeping. It seems to have gone quiet now though.

I am glad you are feeling more at peace pikz. I wish you the very best.

Plans for the weekend here are a birthday party tomorrow and trip to my folks on Sunday to see my sister and p's cousin. This means we can get the equivalent pics of this time last year!

I have loved seeing the pics on FB of fancy dress - so cute!

Passmethecrisps · 31/10/2014 20:53

eliza I am just as bad or certainly used to be - I can barely watch the TV at all anymore without blubbing mind joh

PetiteRaleuse · 31/10/2014 21:07

Bugger. Hignfy. Moved to bbc1? That's why I keep missing it.

misslaughalot · 31/10/2014 22:41

Hi all, checking in with the thread as its been ages and I have a rare evening to myself where DP is out at a Halloween party and O is actually sleeping well for once .

We've had a horrendous couple of weeks with her sleeping, she's screamed for me as soon as I put her down for the night, and then calls out for me several times in the night, whereas she's had months of going to bed peacefully previously. Last night was so bad she slept until 10.30 this morning and so I didn't put her down for a nap, and wouldn't you know it she's gone off quite easily tonight. I'm sure she's not ready to drop her nap though, I know I'm not ready! Anyway, fingers crossed this is the start of better nights for us as my c-section is in 10 days...

YW your description of having 2 was so lovely, I'm really looking forward to seeing how O reacts to the new arrival here.

Glad you are feeling more in control Pikz, you never know, that might help the situation in itself?!

PetiteRaleuse · 31/10/2014 22:55

Oooh. Exciting - 10 days? Lovely. ELCS is a lovely experience IME.

YellowWellies · 31/10/2014 23:12

Miss I loved my not very emergency (they let me wait 9 hours until the morning so the full theatre team were in, and so i could sleep) EMCS. I'm a total CS convert. I'm 5 weeks in and feel great xx

Elizadoesdolittle · 31/10/2014 23:53

Ah how lovely miss about the c section, not O's lack of sleeping. It's my 40th birthday in 10 days so I will think of you.

Lily311 · 01/11/2014 04:38

Wow, missthat came around quickly!

No trick or treating here either, she actually slept at my parents as I have some commitments this morning and just couldn't work out the logistics of her being with me. As soon as we got to my mum's last night, we got the call that my auntie was taken to hospital, she was born in 1911! So I need to make a trip to see her too.

It's bank holiday here too pr, all the shops closed.

Oh and I finished my Xmas shopping. Everyone is sorted. Including my secret Santa. I bought a present for myself this year, I'm getting a Garmin for my running.

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/11/2014 09:23

We've had a power cut in the night. The neighbours have power so must be something to do with us. I'm gasping for a cup of tea.

My DN is terrified of the toy pushchair. She cries whenever E gets hold of it so I've had to hide it. That's one of the things I was going to get her for Christmas, oops!

misslaughalot · 01/11/2014 12:22

O was an EMCS and I had a really positive experience, I think I was just glad that a decision had been made and I was in control and knew she'd be arriving safely. Apart from the needle in the back I'm quite looking forward to this CS too!

So DP didn't come home from his Halloween party until 10.40 this morning Hmm No message to say he was staying over or that he was ok. I'm right to be pissed off, yes?! At 38 weeks pregnant I'm finding things hard enough as it is without him not being around to help on the weekend. I never deny him nights out, and he doesn't go out that often, but it's like once he's had a drink he completely forgets about us. O slept through, but I was awake every 90 mins wondering if he was home yet.

Ok, moan over. The sun is shining and we will have a lovely afternoon.

Lily 1911? Wow! She has seen a lot of history!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/11/2014 12:53

Yep I'd be pissed off at that laugh
