She had a 7lb 12 boy yesterday at 7.30pm after going into labour at midnight. Back to back and a bit nasty - vomming every contraction. She turned into the screamer she'd always tutted at on OBEM but pushed him out with no help (thanks to a bossy MW) - epic eh?!. They're home now and despite her having a breast reduction where they moved her nipples they seem to be cracking BF. Smile He's v cute!

PetiteRaleuse · 03/07/2014 22:18

Wow. That sounds brutal. Glad to hear they are all ok though.

YellowWellies · 03/07/2014 22:23

I think she was relieved as docs had warned he'd be a 10lber. It sounded like my labour without ending in ventouse - she did so well to birth a stargazer without intervention. I think she was a bit in shock after.

Rowingdowntheriver · 03/07/2014 22:26

I am thankful for my mum's help with looking after DH, the boys and me this week while I look after I and recover from the c-section.

GT, I'd like those receipes too.

YellowWellies · 03/07/2014 22:43

Rowing how are you doing? xx

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/07/2014 23:27

J has just vomited all over me!! Twice! Rivers of it!

GTbaby · 04/07/2014 01:08

Ill put it on FB as I'm writing it in my notes. I loose too many posts on MN Confused

Rowingdowntheriver · 04/07/2014 02:24

I'm doing ok so far thanks. She is 3 weeks old now so quite well recovered from the c-section. Managing to get some sleep at night but only because I keep falling asleep while feeding her! Am trying to make an effort to stop that tonight though especially after hearing the NICE guidelines stressing the dangers of it yesterday.

DH is ill though :(. Really bad stomach pains that mean he's going to be up all night vomiting and probably won't be able to go to work tomorrow or look after the boys before and after nursery. He's had it quite a bit before and last year ended up having his appendix out because the hospital thought it was that. Unfortunately it didn't fix it Sad. I'm frustrated with him as he felt his stomach start to hurt earlier so should have taken his buscopan immediately but wouldn't as he didn't think he needed it. This always happens then I have to massively bite my tongue to stop saying I told him so.

Sorry for the rant, but it does feel better to get that off my chest!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/07/2014 09:04

Morning all. No-one up?

Passmethecrisps · 04/07/2014 09:15

Morning!

Hello rowing! Sorry your DH is poorly. Sounds it is the last thing you need. Post here at night if it helps?

Cripes that sounds intense yw.

Does j seem better this morning izzy? How odd. Can you get some rest today?

P woke at 4:40 this morning and was really upset wanting cuddles. She asked for water and ended up in with us which is always a disaster. Then she asked to go to her own bed but was very upset when put in it. She and I ended up cuddled in her chair. I have no idea when she fell asleep but I woke with a jump and got back to bed at 6:30.

At one point when I thought she was dozing she suddenly sat bolt upright and said "doggy!"

This is after the previous evening where she was massively upset at being in bed until 10:30. Very strange.

No plans for today - well my parents are coming to visit but they could be here anytime!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/07/2014 09:30

Could she be having a few nightmares pass ?

Passmethecrisps · 04/07/2014 09:40

Possibly. But the night before she didn't actually fall asleep. She was pointing at the door which has various things hung on it so she might have got spooked

izzybizzybuzzybees · 04/07/2014 10:00

I've been up since 5.30am as that's when J got up. We had no more sick. He seems fine this morning but currently has the hiccups and I'm sitting with a basin beside me as I'm scared he'll be sick again!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/07/2014 10:09

Good that there's no more vom so far izzy sorry you had such a shite night. Looks like lots of shite nights were had.

Ours was OK but we all went to bed far too late.

I am working on my last freelance project hoping to get it done before the weekend as it is so damn dull.

BigPigLittlePig · 04/07/2014 10:43

Hope your day turns out vom free Izzy. And Rowing too, for that matter.

Not too bad in the Pigsty last night, F woke at 5 but chatted herself back to sleep til 7.30 - and is now asleep in the car again, so I'm sat on our drive! She has been totally wiped out lately, but her speech is developing so quickly, it's not surprising.

Thanks for the recipe GT, looks scrummy.

Hope today goes ok for you Zamboni, here's some Brew

Lots of drama last night at work, we had a major incident declared which was a bit Confused as wasn't entirely sure what that entailed! Anyway, was a big crash - but near our house so I got all panicky and had to sneak out to ring dh to make sure they were both ok (obviously they were).

BigPigLittlePig · 04/07/2014 11:32

Ooooooh!

Dh has been offered a job Grin

Can you have sex in a hammock?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 04/07/2014 13:25

PetiteRaleuse · 04/07/2014 13:35
