We use 5+ in the day and 6+ at night here

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/07/2014 22:27

E is in size 4 day and night. But she is diddy!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/07/2014 22:34

Argh DD1 is on a sugar high from the party and won't come down from it.

Size 4+ nappies day and night here for LO, she's 11.2kg.

YellowWellies · 01/07/2014 22:44

Jonas is 11kg and uses 4+ day and night. Enjoy your hols!!!

BigPigLittlePig · 01/07/2014 22:45

F is in size 5 in the day and 6 at night. She pisses like a horse overnight.

AIBU to want to chuck a waterbomb at the twerp standing in the middle of our road having a v long phone conversation? it's a mobile phone, you can talk AND walk!!

Ouch to wisdom teeth, need to have all of mine out but am too cowardly Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 01/07/2014 22:47

I think f must have fat thighs. She's always needed far bigger than one would think for her weight. Although the lack of solid poo, ever, doesn't help.

StuntNun · 01/07/2014 22:53

Size 5 is probably a safe bet. We use 4+ day and night but they're getting a bit small now.

I put off getting my wisdom teeth out for years, until infections were just every few weeks (usually at weekends!) in the end my first was taken out in an emergency. I was so scared the dentist (Sunday afternoon in Paris) said I'll just prick your gums to stop the pain, you go sit in the waiting room for a while and I'll see you in 10 minutes. Went back in ten and I didn't realise he was extracting it ("open wide am just going to poke about") until it was out. I was so freaked that I gripped the nurses arm and drew blood with my nails. Bless her she didn't even squeal. Can you imagine the aibu my dentist extracted a tooth without telling me? I was glad it was so easy.

Decided to pop into the English bookshop on the way home when the anaesthetic suddenly wore off. Ow.

The next three came out under local just after I moved out here. Was a bit harder as the anaesthetic started to wear off before the end (I seem to run through anaesthetic quite quickly, and this caused issues in both my emcs and my stomach surgery too) but once they were out it was fab when I realised the pain was gone. Forever. I am so glad I stopped putting it off.

Zamboni · 02/07/2014 03:40

S has a raging temp and is uncomfortable, screaming and knackered but unable to sleep. FX the Calpol kicks in soon. He's woken DD too so I think we may be up for the day.

ValiumQueen · 02/07/2014 04:57

Zamboni SadBrew

We have been up since 3. Teeth causing reflux and sore skin.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/07/2014 05:07

Up here too :(

Rowingdowntheriver · 02/07/2014 06:15

Up here too! Not with the boys thiugh, just little I.

We're in size 5 day wnd night too. Not sure of L's weight but interested to find out now so will weigh him when he wakes up.

zamoboni that sounds bad. Hope the calpol has kicked in now and you are all back to sleep.

Donnadoon · 02/07/2014 06:50

I had a lower molar removed at 33 weeks preg and it was horrendous
It broke and took 30 mins to 'dig' out. Arghh it still traumatises me to think about.. I also got dry socket afterwards, so for two weeks I paced the floor with tooth/gum ache
And now I need one of my wisdom teeth out, do you think I should be put to sleep ?

Rowingdowntheriver · 02/07/2014 06:51

Oh and yw, very creepy about the top hat

Zamboni · 02/07/2014 07:05

We did all manage to snooze a bit longer, thanks. S is covered in big angry chicken pox. It's particularly bad in his ears, in his hair and all around his genitals. I know that's all normal but he's so distressed. And unlike with DD we can't explain it to him. Porridge oats bath and calamine lotion administered with the first of the day's Calpol and trying to distract him with the imminent arrival of the bin lorry, which he absolutely loves.

I think lots of Peppa pig may well be on the agenda today. Fortunately it is lovely weather so they can also play in the garden.

Yawn.

That happened to me too Donna. I was 16, having molars out for braces. Dentist broke the tooth extracting it and then basically waggled the scalpal around until she got the leftover bit out. When it happened they went into the waiting room and cleared the remaining appointments of the day 'due to an incident'. My poor DM was in the waiting room. Same thing happened a week later when the other side was done. And my dentist chuckles whenever I have to have anything done because I flinch a bit after that!

MsJupiter · 02/07/2014 08:08

Zamboni I have heard read on MN Virasoothe is better than calamine at stopping itching, we haven't been through it ourselves though. Poor thing, the genitals must be especially uncomfortable.

Thanks for the wisdom tooth stories. They took the molar out in one but cut the wisdom tooth in two. The noise was horrible Shock. I actually tried to take my mind off it by thinking about my c section except then I imagined them handing me the tooth wrapped in a blanket like a baby and nearly giggled! The dentist was very nice but it's definitely the nastiest thing I've had done. I had sedation for my other wisdom tooth but they wouldn't give me it this time.

Ice cream and codydramol are definitely my friends at the moment!

Wandathewindfairy · 02/07/2014 08:14

Morning Brew and omlette with tomatoes all around.

We have size 5 or 5+ we like the Tesco or Asda own brand best.

I got an infection in one of my wisdom teeth and my dentist said it was best to just take them all out at the same time under a general. Because they did it this way the only real pain I had after was in the one where the infection had been. I loved my old dentist he was so sensible. I had him from when I was four till when He retired. Now every time I take my DDs to that surgery one of them has to have so ething done Hmm

One thing I omitted to say when I was talking about O talking the other day is that there are certain words he seems to say with a NI accent. Like spade, dirty and down, where as DS1 speaks more and more like David Niven everyday. I don't understand it Confused

Wandathewindfairy · 02/07/2014 08:16

Hope you have a box set and airport novel jupiter

zamboni you can get calamine aqueous cream as well which is ace and much easier to apply. Xx

PetiteRaleuse · 02/07/2014 08:20

zamboni sorry to hear the pox has come upon your house again.

MsJupiter · 02/07/2014 08:57

I've started reading Game of Thrones, not sure I'm a fan but it passes the time. I've called in sick & my sister is having L till this aft so that's a blessing.

Wanda I wish I had had both my bottom ones out at least, the one I had out yesterday has been pushing against all the other teeth for years and now they are crooked. But they won't do it unless the wt is getting infected.

Donna I would definitely try and get sedation if you can.

We are in size 4+ nappies. We are using Aldi which we've had a few leaks from but so much cheaper it's worth factoring in an extra change per day. Unfortunately their pull ups only come in size 5 which are too big, shame as I prefer pull ups to tabs. Sure it will only be a matter of time tho.

Wanda I love the sound of the contrasting accents!

Zamboni · 02/07/2014 09:01

Tis clearly a judgment on our heathen ways, PR Grin

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think DH will be arranging for his salary to be paid directly to Boots popping into the local pharmacy and picking up one of everything!

StuntNun · 02/07/2014 09:45

I don't think J likes me today, he screamed at me and fought me for 20 minutes until DH took him away. He's been very difficult lately, especially in the car where he just screams and screams but he hates the buggy too and he won't let me wrap him. He makes everything so difficult and I can't look after my other children properly because he's so demanding. It's alright for me not to get breakfast but DS1 and DS2 need sorted out, neither of them have had their medicines yet. I can't even face the rest of the day if it's going to involve being screamed at constantly. He's only happy if he's out wrecking stuff.

Zamboni · 02/07/2014 10:09

Stunt Flowers That sounds really tough. S is also going through a bit of an "I only want Daddy" stage, and hates being put in the car and the buggy. Can you just leave him to make noise when you get on with the essentials? I know it's not ideal and perhaps not that simple for you. Big hugs.

Lily311 · 02/07/2014 10:30

stunt i had the same with O 2 months ago. Lasted 5 weeks. It was terrible and I was at the end of my tether. She changed suddenly and it's been nearly 4 weeks now that she is happy again and let me breathe. Huge hugs, it will get better.

O is in size 4. Size 5 here is not affordable :(.

Waiting for a package today but much rather go outside and enjoy the sun.

YellowWellies · 02/07/2014 10:33

Zamboni poor wee manny! Spots on his bits would be maddening! Hope he's over the worst very quickly xx

Wanda I'm loving the thought of accents coming through. I think J will have an English accent until he goes to school and then might end up speaking broad Fife! (I hope)

Jupiter just ouch. Ice cream. Lots of it.

Stunt gah I hate days like that! Sad And I've only got one. I wonder is he in pain from teeth or anything? J is always at his worst behaved and most maddening when he's sore. Sometimes when he's at his least 'lovable' he needs the most cuddles (obviously I wouldn't reward him with cuddles for trashing stuff but you know what I mean).

I thought last night was going to be awful as DH is in London and J had woken twice before midnight with a reflux cough (I think teeth related unless Tesco banana own brand nesquik has dairy in it... the label says not), but after anbesol and calpol he gave me a nice 8 hour stretch. Now do I tell DH this or not? Wink
