Oooh could be a Christmas baby. Wasn't it last Christmas you were stressed about moving house? This year should be a nicer stress :)

Wooden hammer peg thing? Sounds both rough and noisy. I'm in! (I love getting other people's kids noisy stuff!)

Wandathewindfairy · 24/06/2014 12:13

I have been thinking about stunt this week I hope you are ok stunt

I have also noticed kyz is quiet, where are you we miss you.

What do they do that is different pr, at the nursery? The girls go to a a forest school which means they have lessons based on the outside, which happen outside, and they send them out pretty much whatever the weather.

Menu plans... I am keeping it simple because it is going to be busy I think.

So seeing as they are American I am going to do ...

Thursday...ye olde roast beef and Yorkshires. I was going to make it slightly summery by doing mini baked new pots, string beans and chantery carrots, but during experiments at the weekend all the boys proclaimed it had to be proper roasts) , then with the meringue strawberry layer cake thing for pud.

Friday... we could be out and about, beaches and ruined castles, so it is the bruschetta followed by the chicken and asparagus risotto followed by a nectarine and blueberry galette.

Saturday ....I think we are going to a agricultural show so, it will be fresh fish from down the road with chips by wanda followed by ice cream and mango soup ( a mango syrup that DS1 loves and has Christened mango soup)

Lunches include prawns, dill mayonnaise and pittas, golden veg soup and wheaten bread or chilled curried b squash soup and maybe a Flammkuchen if required.

Breakfasts are to be cobbled together between brioche bake bread ( I will add so chocolate chips I think this time), fruit, granola, eggs, bacon, sausages, soda bread and potato farls.

I will put my bag if prawns on facebook, I got it via my aunt in law from fisherman up the road and is a thing to behold.

I'd better get busy hadn't I!

Wandathewindfairy · 24/06/2014 12:16

Lots of Pimms and Wimbledon as well.

Glad it went well eliza

Hmm one year old boys........balls with rattley bits inside or mega blocks.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 12:24

Yum that sounds amazing. Flammenkeuche is from my area of France. I love it.

The forest nursery is basically nursery in the forest. They go inside at lunchtime and that's it, whatever the weather. So sounds like what your girls have. I think DD1 will enjoy it and it will give her a confidence boost before starting school. She was so proud with her backpack today as she set off. I feel I have failed though as she picked out a princess backpack Hmm :o

Zamboni · 24/06/2014 12:28

S has a wooden hammer thing and luffs it. So does DD. Great idea.

Glad the scan went well eliza. Sorry for poo-splosion YW. Forest nursery sounds fab PR. Menu making me drool Wanda.

Everyone has passed out after a morning running around on the beach, including DD mid-snack! She's on the sofa, naked, half sitting, with the rice cakes still in her hand! One for the wedding then!! I could snooze too, or watch a bit of tennis... Love being on hols!Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/06/2014 13:13

The nursery sounds great pr forest school is just starting to take off here. I'm very jealous that we didn't have it when I was at school. My friend is about to start a teacher training course in forest school so I'm hoping to pick up some tips.

I remember when DD1 came home from preschool and announced that her favourite colour was pink. I felt that was my biggest failing as a parent!

I bloody hope this isn't a Christmas baby. or at least not born on Christmas day. That would just be awful! But at least DH will be off work. God knows what I'd do if I went into labour and he wasn't here.

All of it sounds fab wanda.

zamboni sounds wonderful. I'd relax and watch a bit of tennis if I was you. in fact that's what I am doing but I keep looking at all the crap that I should be tidying. Not quite the same! enjoy.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 13:55

Does anyone have a link to the wooden hammer thing? Glad you're having a good time zamboni

I am watching the Tennis too

I don't mind the colour pink - I got married in pink despite not being a pink person at all really - it's just the bloody princess logo. Boys aren't encouraged to dream of becoming princes - they are encouraged to dream of being superheroes, which is far cooler.

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/06/2014 13:59

I can't do a link as on my phone but the one I was thinking of is on amazon by Melissa and doug called pound a peg.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 14:07

Thanks - have found it. Will now go and try and find something on French Amazon :)

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 14:13

Yay - they sell it with next day delivery in France - thanks so much I have ordered it :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/06/2014 14:26

yay Grin

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2014 14:34

I know I have no right to moan about O's sleep as he is usually a good sleeper, but on top of everything else it's a bit much.

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2014 15:21

I work for a bunch of fucking idiots. Heeeeeeeelllllllllp!

Wandathewindfairy · 24/06/2014 16:02

That just sounds idyllic zamboni glad the weather is great.

chasing moan away love. Is fine. Have a Brew and maybe some Cake xx

Sorry about that vq. What has happened?

misslaughalot · 24/06/2014 16:11

Chasing do you want some jaffa cake?! Cake

Eek VQ what's happened?

YellowWellies · 24/06/2014 17:31

PR no nursery didn't give them crisps - nursery provide snacks (fruit) but parents provide food at our nursery and there's one not so wee 17 month old girl whose Mum packs her a full bag of Walkers crisps, a KitKat chunky and a choc mousse EVERY day!

YellowWellies · 24/06/2014 17:45

Apparently Jonas watches her every mouthful and goes "nomnom" very enthusiastically.

Eliza congratulations! Let's hope its a NYE babe - what a great birthday everyone is always up for a night out and you'd never have to buy a pint all night!

Wandathewindfairy · 24/06/2014 17:55
Shock

I do not actually believe that

A fucking kit kat chunky Shock

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 18:06

I know! Me neither! A kitkat chunky every day. How jealous am I! :o

Seriously that's pretty sad for the kid. There are some scary reports coming out now about the long term effect of under 5's diets. I guess people just don't believe them.

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2014 18:19

Thank you for your concern peeps Smile I am home now so I am ok.

GTbaby · 24/06/2014 19:27

Hi BP. How is the sun burn. I think I have heat rash on my fire arms. Must be from when I'm pushing pushchair around park? Very itchy and annoying.

Pil are back Hmm enough said about that.

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2014 19:39

On your firearms GT? GrinWink

Am Shock at that YW. Poor kiddo.

I had more to say, but I can't remember.

Bit hectic here at the moment. I have a bit of a situation at work, which is stressing me out a bit. I seem to have attracted the attentions of a married man, who has turned a bit stalker-like. Confused

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 19:52

Evening!

Uh oh chasing! Run for the hills! Genuinely, have you shared your concern with a colleague? I would try to make sure at least one or two other people knew about it.

I had a day a bit like that vq. Glad you are home and it is better now.

I am Shock at that packed lunch yw. That would make me sick and I am a grown up. What enters people's heads?

P is still pretty wracked with a cough and snotty nose. Tonight for the first time ever she completely refused her milk but drained a sippy cup of water. I don't know if it is cold related or she is just not fussed anymore.

YellowWellies · 24/06/2014 19:53

I know how much torture would it be if you're dairy free and your mean Mum gives you fruit and veg (and jelly and biscuits Blush ) and you have your lunch next to that scrummy feast. Poor kid though, long term her diet is going to be jeffed as those foods are pretty addictive - I should know - I love em! She always refuses the fruit snack. I guess the preference for refined sugars kicks in young Sad.

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 20:01

The thing is I give p treats fairly often but I never send her with them to the childminder for exactly the reason. I hink it must be tough for children watching other children getting tasty treats if they don't have. I know sometimes the CM will give a wee treat but that can be controlled and given to all.
