Oh and bad news re aging pussy. Despite numerous blood and urine samples which a came back clear she is now peeing blood and peeing all over our rug. She seems very happy in herself and purrs away but the house is awash with vomit and pee. Looks like the onset of kidney failure Sad Sad

misslaughalot · 24/06/2014 20:25

So for the second night in a row I'm sitting next to O's cot waiting for her to go to sleep, looks like last night wasn't a one off. Maybe we're hitting the 18 month sleep regression too Chasing (funny this started on the same day when they share a birthday!)

I agree with confiding in a colleague too Chasing, is his behavior worrying you.

Sending ageing pussy a big cuddle Pass

Zamboni · 24/06/2014 20:29

Chasing do you have an HR dept?

Pass Sad Thanks

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 20:43

pass that is very sad :( I hope it is treatable and if not then I guess you will know when it is right to help her on her way.

I love summer evenings. Am sat outside, wasp spray to hand to bump off the last stragglers who are still coming back to their nest. It's quite sad actually. But it's a lovely cool evening and I can hear distant planes, birds settling for the night and cows mooing.

In one week I will be oficially unemployed. Finally :o

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 20:44

chasing I hope you find a way of dealing with stalker man that isn't too stressful.

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2014 20:44

DH made a loaf of bread and put cayenne pepper in instead of cinnamon. By accident. Fuck me it is hot!

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 20:46

I love those sounds pr. Sounds of the world getting ready to settle down.

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 20:46

Oh but I bet it is delicious, vq!

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2014 20:47

Not nice Chasing. Do tell someone at work.

Pass sorry about Puss. Doesn't sound good at all.

PR that sounds idyllic apart from the orphaned wasps.

J has a packet of skips or hoops each day. The poor wee man can have little else. Nursery understand I think. He has veg and fruit coming out of his ears too.

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 20:48

Oh, and I have started not one but two threads tonight!

One sensible one about retraining and one daft one and nail varnish!

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2014 20:48

It is very good Pass. Who would have thought honey and cayenne would work together?

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2014 20:49

Not in AIBU I hope

YellowWellies · 24/06/2014 20:49

Pass oh no! Poor pusskin. I agree on the treats - he has a jelly in his bag for when the others get ice cream. Shit parent alert but the nursery staff are much better getting veg into him than me so he gets sent with extra healthy meals he might refuse for me Confused let them earn the extortionate nursery fees I say! Smile

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2014 20:50

Pass, that is very sad about ageing pussy Sad

Miss, I'm using that as evidence to support the fact that this is indeed a regression, and therefore temporary, and not a permanent change Grin

PR, I too, love those sounds.

I have told my line manager about it. But attempts to tell him to back off have resulted in things getting worse. I'm sure it will blow over soon.

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 20:53

There was honey as well?! Haha!

I stayed well away from AIBU. One is in the staff room and one in style and beauty which is almost as scary as AIBU

YellowWellies · 24/06/2014 20:56

VQ skips and hoops are targeted at kids so the salt is lower. J gets organix baby crisps or the big bags of Tesco own brand skips and I have to dole them out gradually - he'd happily trough the whole big bag (which brands have you found that are dairy and soy free - do they come in small packs?). A packet of walkers is more than the safe daily salt allowance and to have it every day is a bit scary.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 20:56

My girls are good eaters with me. But extraordinarily brilliant eaters at nursery. Which is why I am going to pay silly amounts to give DD1 school meals from September. Kids each much better in a group.

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2014 20:58

I can't get O to eat vegetables

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 20:58

Love skips.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 20:59

LO has been a PITA at bedtime the last few nights. It's been getting later and later with more sudden demands for milk, or bread, or soup. Anything she sees. I let her CIO tonight. First time ever. It wasn't hysterics. Just angry shouts. It was 9pm and well past bedtime.

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/06/2014 21:00

That sounds like my kind of lunch box! But bloody hell at giving it to a 17th month old, every day!

My 2 had an ice cream pretty much every day on holiday. Today as a treat after nursery and to celebrate the scan news I took them for an ice cream. E had a tantrum when it was all gone and wanted more. Time to stop the ice creams for a while I think!

yw yeah I think nye would be a cool birthday. My best friend reminded me earlier that I was really worried about DD1 being born on nye (her due date was 14/1) but that was because it would ruin my future nyes. How bloody naive was I.

chasing I agree, share your concerns with another colleague at least if you aren't comfortable raising it with HR.

pass sorry about ageing pussy. Hope it turns out to be nothing.

DD1 was thrilled to hear the baby news. She ran into nursery shouting my mummy has a baby in her belly and told everyone down to the lollipop lady. Smile

YellowWellies · 24/06/2014 21:08

J has a super high temperature and his hand constantly in his mouth, he's been utterly clingy tonight, proper arms and legs flung right round me, head nuzzling into my shoulder. Such a cuddle monster I had to get in the bath with him. He spent the bath patting my bump and kissing baby. Awwww

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2014 21:12

Oh no yw maybe he's coming down with something. Kissing bump is very cute though :)

Wandathewindfairy · 24/06/2014 21:19

STYLE AND BEAUTY that is so scary! I must sneak I. And have a look, then sneak out again.

chasing ignorance is often the best policy i these situations, that and like the others said, let some others know. As you say, hopefully should blow over. Ahem.

If you don't see me for a while you know I have come a cropper in sgyle and beauty

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2014 21:20

Cute bump kisser!

Sore throat? This morning p pointed into her mouth then said "ouchy" which was very helpful.

I have just gone up to see her just now and she was sitting up dancing. She took out her meemee and sang me a song. For most of it she stared up as if thinking of the words (all gibberish) then looked at me and sang "toot toot!" I got three renditions of this.
