That's the plan PR.

take a few pictures

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 07:56

They're coming tonight or tomorrow depending on how busy they are with real emergencies. Feel like such a pratt calling them for that but apparently that's how it is done here.

The nest is in a cardboard box on my wood pile. Right above where my cat likes to sleep and right at child and dog eye level. And it is crackling very loudly

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 08:02

The nest is also on top of where my hedgehog family live. I hope hope hope that the nasty big burly muscular firemen don't kill the hedgehogs too.

Wandathewindfairy · 23/06/2014 08:30

Just Incase anyone thinks of it. I didn't see Fargo last night I will watch it tonight. So shhhhhhh.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/06/2014 08:35

I absolutely hate wasps, eeeek. Hope its dealt with quickly with no damage to the poor hedgehogs.

pass The old woman was batty. As others have said if you do not leave the house due to a snotty nose then there would be months when we never went anywhere. I also continue with plans if my 2 are under the weather as long as it's not going to make them worse or affect others.

zamboni you are doing the right thing. Hope you enjoy your trip and manage to stay the duration.

Won't bore you all with details of our holiday but we all had a great time. Villa and resort was ace. The girls could have spent all day every day in the pool. They loved the beach and sea too. E ate really well and i'll be amazed if she hasn't put on weight at next weigh in. She probably had an ice cream every day Blush No sickness episodes thank goodness. So all in all a success.

In other news I have my booking in appt this morning and my scan tomorrow. Yikes!

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 08:55

Glad you had a great time eliza sounds lovely. We are hoping to possibly do a beach holiday in October if I can crate train the dog by then.

Zamboni · 23/06/2014 09:04

Sounds lovely Eliza. Good luck with apt, scan and weigh in!

YellowWellies · 23/06/2014 10:09

Zamboni go and enjoy!!!!

Eliza good luck! I've got my MW appt today too - my first in 14 weeks. To say I'm meant to be high risk am surprised at how rarely I see anyone. Second time round they do just let you get on with it!

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 10:12

You must be well over half way through now right yw ?

Enjoy your scan Eliza when does E get weighed next?

LO has her annual nursery medical check up on Friday. I'm sure she has been in a growth spurt the last few weeks so will be interesting to see if am right.

YellowWellies · 23/06/2014 10:37

I'm 22 weeks. Physically slimmer but with a bigger bump than last time. Must post a bump pic!

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/06/2014 13:06

yw here it looks like the longest I will go without seeing a midwife is 10wks. But there is the 20wk scan in between that. I think bump wise I was bigger with DD1. I tend to get big really early. Luckily so far I've been all bump and not much else. Will be interesting to see how this one develops.

pr I'm going to get her weighed on Thursday. Will let you know how she gets on. Our consultant appt has come through for the 21st July.

Zamboni · 23/06/2014 13:30

We're here, lush weather, so hot, no spots yet!

Lily311 · 23/06/2014 13:43

32 degrees in shadow today in Hungary, it's very very hot outside. I am with my godchildren today, they already broke up for the summer holiday. Sleeping at my parents' as I have to look after them tomorrow as well. At least they entertain O.

zamboni hope you stay spot free.

I need to take O to the health visitor for a check up as well, I meant to call her last week to make an appointment. We will be so busy over the summer with friends staying over and going on holiday, can't wait.

YellowWellies · 23/06/2014 14:56

Just had my 22 week check. I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead. Eekk! Am telling myself that a big baby is good if I stick to the family tradition of early delivery Confused . Heartbeat was good - it sounded like a horse. What does that indicate according to the old wives tale?

Wandathewindfairy · 23/06/2014 15:01

I think fast is a boy In the world of old wives.

Hope your appointment went well too eliza

Had a lovely morning out at a cafe, painted a wall whil O slept, am now not at all motivated to tidy up the kitchen/family room which is tip.

misslaughalot · 23/06/2014 15:03

All the best for your scan tomorrow Eliza, I have my 20 week scan on Thursday. As O was an EMCS they are also going to scan me at 28 and 34 weeks to check on the size of this baby, as apparently they are likely to recommend an ELCS if it looks like this one might be on the large side. I need to do some reading up on VBAC vs ELCS.

Haven't really been making the most of my day off, I've been catching up on some TV, washed all our bedding which is hanging outside and am in the middle of mKing a giant Jaffa cake. Not really the essential jobs I had planned, apart from the washing...

And yes to French fireman photos PR!

persepolis123 · 23/06/2014 15:08

Boy I think yw. C always sounded like a horse galloping.

Good luck with your scan eliza.

I’m going to be ovulating soon hopefully. Need to make a decision as to whether we are ttc again or not. I’m torn.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 15:10
Tennis

They phoned a while ago to say they will be coming this evening.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 15:16

perse after my mc I was advised by several people to let one cycle go without ttc then to try the next cycle along. I don't know if that applies to an early mc as well, and don't know the reasoning behind it.

YellowWellies · 23/06/2014 15:29

Perse I'd DTD for pleasures sake but only if you feel like it. I conceived J first cycle after a MC and think there is meant to be a natural boost in fertility for 3 months after. If you aren't sure I'd be tempted to wait a month Thanks

Google says horse sound = girl. Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 15:34

My original guess was girl but thought boy from your scan pic a few weeks ago. It would drive me mad not knowing. I think my ob gyb just told me without asking iirc. I might go and watch my scan dvds again.

persepolis123 · 23/06/2014 15:50

I don’t think there’s any medical reason for waiting. AFAIK the main reason doctors say to wait one cycle is to make it easier to date the pregnancy because it can be upsetting if you previously had a miscarriage where you found out the baby stopped growing and there is confusion around the dates.

I have heard of lots of women getting pregnant on the next cycle and going on to have healthy babies. I want to be pregnant again asap. The only thing is the fear of miscarrying again but that won’t go away and will be the same if I get pregnant again this month or in six month’s time.

I also have it in my head that it took 11 months to conceive C so perhaps we need to get on with it if we want a smallish age gap.

YellowWellies · 23/06/2014 15:56

Perse go for it. If you want to be preggers asap then there's only one thing to do. As you say, if you do it now you'll be six weeks further toward where you want to be. I know some might think it too soon from an emotional perspective but I too found being preggers again quickly, and carrying J, was exactly the therapy I needed. Good luck petal Thanks xxxxx

PetiteRaleuse · 23/06/2014 16:12

Then go for it :) as yw says. I think you are right that is the reason - the dating. I was put on the pill for the month, I'd forgotten that, to regulate the cycle. Quite possibly more for dating purposes than any others. I don't remember it was all a bit of a blur.

Paisleychick · 23/06/2014 16:19

My mc was at 5+2wks and they said that I should wait a cycle for dating purposes. I got pg that cycle and had H. I was very nervous until I passed 5+2 weeks, relaxed a bit when i got to 12 wks.
