Miss, J had accidental dairy exposure the other day and his skin and sleep have both gone to pot Hmm it is very frustrating.

Wandathewindfairy · 22/06/2014 07:58

So glad you are home digger Smile

How is your knee izzy did you go to the gp?

I have a great visit to the chiropodist this week Confused. Honestly. My feet are so smooth now. My verrucas isn't a verruca it is a corn. So that is gone. My bunion isn't a bunion but a build up of bone from a trauma, (one awful broken toe incident and 10 years of children jumping stepping on my feet) she said if it was taken off my foot would be in good shape. I might leave a couple of years till O is more self sufficient and have it done.

Annnyyyyhoooo.

T-4 days till the yanks arrive, time to make a list I think.

pass I like that church and the plans look good. More property porn please!

pr have you decided to stay put?

I like moody Margaret bp I might steal that!

We had a great day yesterday pottering round the house etc. I did some tickling in the veg patch, which is looking hot btw, and some cooking. I didn't have any natural yoghurt and I was making nan breads so I replaced 2 table spns of natural yoghurt with the plain bit out of a muller fruit corner Shock FIND OF THE CENTURY they were the lightest, yummiest nan breads EVER.

And in other news. I was bought a voucher for a cookery school for my leaving work present. So I have booked my course, an Italian based one doing a shin of beef pasta, bruschetta, and flatbreads. ( they also do a lobster night which I like the look of and a Spanish one that looks good. Amongst other things. stunt actually is something you and your DH would enjoy I think and would be easy for you to get to, the prices of the courses are all between about £30 and £70)

It is on a Saturday. Sooooooo I have booked a night at a hotel in the city centre that has a great restaurant and I am meeting my
DH there after work on Friday and will pretend it is like the old days when we did used to meet up at random European hotels and have a night of passion

Obviosuly the boys will be having a sleepover with nanny Grin

Now to try and loose a couple of lbs before night of debauchery.

Passmethecrisps · 22/06/2014 08:17

Very vq

P is not very well. Nothing terrible just a cold and a sore throat I suspect with a mild temp. DH has asked if we can go to the safari park. I am never quite sure if we should go out if she is under the weather. Thoughts?

So glad you are all home digger

Wandathewindfairy · 22/06/2014 08:27

Personally pass I would give dose of calpol and get out in the fresh air if you think she is just a little under the weather. If she is ok in herself she should be fine. X

Passmethecrisps · 22/06/2014 08:38

Thanks wanda. She is a bit clingy and obviously tired but generally ok. Off the see the lions we go

PetiteRaleuse · 22/06/2014 08:53

Yes I would definitely go out into the fresh air. Enjoy the safari park pass

wanda we are keeping an eye out for a different house to rent if that's what you mean?

Cooking courses sound fab. That was a great gift :)

GTbaby · 22/06/2014 08:53

Great news digger. Hope the team are able to help manage the asthma.

YellowWellies · 22/06/2014 10:07

Digger I'm so glad you're home!

J had dairy traces on Friday, as a dairy trial - so we've had two nights where its been like trying to get someone on speed down to sleep! Last night he was singing "twinkle twinkle" along with me, conducting cheerfully with his arms, then poking various bits of my face / body and shouting out their names. For half an hour. Better than reflux or colic but safe to say he still reacts to dairy!!!

Right I'm on a mission to decorate the dining room before I start work. So today its a long walk and then picking up more tester pots.

Oh and the bliddy dog ate the paddling pool during breakfast! Envy

Zamboni · 22/06/2014 10:35

Glad you are home Digger. Thanks

Pass that looks fab and I do properly love a floor plan!!! Grin

Eliza glad you had a great time.

DD's spots have all crusted and scabbed over and she's back to her usual perky self.

We are due on a little holiday from tomorrow - Butlins preschool week. Fab weather, glorious sandy beach to play on, loads of toddler friendly stuff to do. It's not my preferred hol venue but is cheap and close to us. I have been looking forward to switching off my emails and just playing with DC for months and months.

S has a couple of suspicious looking red lumps under his skin.

He's going to break out in the pox immediately before our little hol, isn't he? So we will be unable to go Sad
Not the end of the world obvs and better for this hol than the one we have planned abroad later in the year, but bloody wretched timing.

So I anticipate spending this week arguing with insurance co - they only pay out for cancellation due to illness if illness involves a hospital stay or restricted mobility. In my view the pox restricts mobility as you can't go out in public while contagious. But whether that's their interpretation is not clear from the policy.

ValiumQueen · 22/06/2014 11:03

Zamboni I would think if anyone could argue the point it would be you. I would say pox is a legitimate reason to cancel, but obv hope he is ok and you can all go xxx

YellowWellies · 22/06/2014 11:07

Zamboni just switch off your emails and play with the DC at home - you can still enjoy that. Don't let being at home suck you back into work.

I'd argue CP equates with restricted mobility given the risk of contagion and serious consequences for vulnerable groups.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/06/2014 11:13

zamboni fx it's not the pox and you can go

Zamboni · 22/06/2014 11:14

Haha VQ do you know what, it's always so much harder to make a coherent argument for oneself than for someone else. But I shall be giving it a jolly good go.

And yes, I think that it should be caught by restricted mobility but it will depend on whether the insurance co has set a fixed, exclusionary definition of what that does and doesn't include, or whether there is no definition and they take a flexible, case by case basis. I suspect the former. We'll see.

Yes YW, am going to put out of office on, turn off phone, chuck it in a drawer and give the DC my undivided attention no matter what we end up doing. Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 22/06/2014 11:22

Aaaargh as I typed that I was listening to buzziness and clicking and on further inspection realised I was sat next to a wasps' nest. Must still be full of babies right? DH is going to spray it tonight.

fruitpastilles · 22/06/2014 16:34

Grin luis

wanda a cookery course sounds really good, I might actually see if I can find one here to go on.

So glad you're home now digger

pass how is P this afternoon? Any better?

Oh no zamboni fx S doesn't get it now that would be shitty luck!

We need to decorate our dining room too yw well, I say decorate, it'll just be a lick of paint I'd imagine.

So the other day S was leafing through the Ella's cookbook saying nom nom...... Today she is saying nom nom and has just licked one of the pictures of a meal Grin then said nom nom again as if she'd actually tasted it haha. The girl cracks me up! Took her to the park to feed the ducks and all the way there she was saying duck and quacking and as soon as we got by the lake she fell asleep so didn't even get to feed them bless her. Have been playing in the garden this afternoon and due to lack of garden toys have been playing hide the stone Grin actually we played it for about 20 mins and she loved it tbh. Might not bother getting her a sand and water table like I was planning Wink

Carrie and David's pop shop is on, S is dancing away, I don't know what it is about carrie but there's something about her that makes me want to turn over, can't put my finger on it though.

Hope you all are having lovely Sundays.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/06/2014 18:15

Zamboni we have spent a fab day at Woolacombe - imagine that's do-able for you guys for a day out later in the week, if S did get spotty.

Wandathewindfairy · 22/06/2014 18:42

Is the fact, fruit , that she has been wearing that bloody shirt since DD1. So nearly 10 years and she must stink.

Zamboni · 22/06/2014 19:15

Love Woolacombe BP! Good idea. Do you think it's ok to go to the beach then or do you mean once scabbed and non-contagious?

S has a few marks but all still v ambiguous. Guess we review tomorrow.

Fruit sounds like a fab afternoon!

fruitpastilles · 22/06/2014 19:28

Haha I didn't even know it had been on that long wanda dp made me laugh the other week, s was watching dancing to it and he said, they've got rubbish chemistry them 2, they come across as not even liking each other. He didn't believe me when I said they are married.

YellowWellies · 22/06/2014 20:03

Zamboni I'd go to a quiet beach with the CP as long as the kids know they can't play with other kids. I think that's fair enough.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/06/2014 20:21

Well had thought once the pox was scabbed, but the beach is 3 miles long so more than enough space for a highly contagious toddler to run riot. Putsborough is the other end of the beach and is even quieter, with some rockpool type bits too. Just remember to cream ALL of yourselves with suncream, as my cheeks are a bit Blush and I'm not referring to my face Blush Blush

Meant to say yesterday VQ, the loom band gift to your dh made me laugh, sounds like a scene from our house! We have caved today and bought a cheapy loom band set, complete with loom board?! Oh how I want to open it and plaaaay, but no, will wait for Friday when dsd is here. Must remember it is for me her.

Quiet day today, am guessing people were enjoying the weather.

Zamboni · 22/06/2014 20:25

Ok good suggestions, can def find quiet spot somewhere!

PetiteRaleuse · 22/06/2014 20:27

DH has gone to bed and not dealt with the wasps. I will call the mayor's office tomorrow and find out how to get it dealt with. I fucking hate wasps and this is only a couple of metres from our back door, in our wood shelter. They don't seem very aggressive yet though.

Passmethecrisps · 22/06/2014 20:28

She is ok thanks fruit. She has swung between happy as larry to a whiny mess. She enjoyed being out though. I caught her dancing to the milkshake dancers the other day - very cute. I know what you mean about carrie as well.

I think a woman gave me a telling off for being out with p earlier. She napped poorly so was very tired but also bored so we went a wander to sainsbury's for something for tea. A lady was stroking her and then commented "she looks tired" so I said "yes she is tired. She is a bit under the weather so struggling a bit" to which the lady said either a) "but still she has lovely hair" or b) "but still you brought her here". Whatever she said she said it as she walked away so I have no idea. I feel terrible - she only has a snotty nose and it was 5:30 so most babies are a bit sleepy by then. I understand that people get anxious about germs and illness for good reason but surely we can 'to stay in the house for the entirety of a snotty nose? What d'ya reckon, ladies?

We had fun at the safari park as well so in the end a nice day.

The house porn will come I can bet you. What happens is this - DH goes off to the loo taking his iPad. I get 5 emails from him linking houses for sale.

Passmethecrisps · 22/06/2014 20:33

I suspect that there will be a protocol for wasps pr. I am a friend of creatures but I would not be keen on wasps loving so close.

I haven't broached the topic of another degree yet but your thoughts last night were useful. We have already talked about my consideration of retraining as an educational psychologist. DH has ALWAYS said that I should do whatever I want to do so the issues are mine not his. The fancy Victorian pad I can see ourselves living in needs two salaries for certain.
