Why not Pass? You have supported DH in his academic venture, so why not you too? You could combine it with popping out another baby or two Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 21/06/2014 19:55

I'd love to do a psychology degree but all the science part puts me off. I like the theories but am not good at science. What was your first degree in pass ?

Passmethecrisps · 21/06/2014 20:24

In computing pr. I wouldn't say it was the wrong voice necessarily but I was too young and barely registered I was there to work before I was rudely awoken with a bump off the honours programme. I do like teaching it which was my primary reason for the degree but really it isn't my passion.

Passmethecrisps · 21/06/2014 20:24

Voice = choice

And you are right vq but I must say I am looking forward to two salaries for a wee while however venal that might sound

Passmethecrisps · 21/06/2014 20:25

and yes the combining degree with baby poppage had occurred to me too!

PetiteRaleuse · 21/06/2014 20:26

Then you need to find something you are passionate about. And if that's psychology then that's what you need to do.

Passmethecrisps · 21/06/2014 20:31

Just to confirm I am passionate about teaching but chatting about computing doesn't get me going quite as much as say chatting about English or psychology

Passmethecrisps · 21/06/2014 20:53

More house porn? Not so much porn or house but some plans for those who enjoy. zamboni I think you were a fan . . .

would this be creepy?

PetiteRaleuse · 21/06/2014 20:56

I understood that :)

PetiteRaleuse · 21/06/2014 20:57

That has fabulous potential. I'd love to live in a conversion.

ValiumQueen · 21/06/2014 21:06

Pass we were looking at that a few years ago GrinGrinGrin Lovely little place as well. We like to camp just along from there.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/06/2014 21:30

That you are passionate about teaching is evident from your posts. But you obviously want to learn something else. There are some good MOOC courses online in bith psychology and English. Could put you on until you decide to bite the bullet.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/06/2014 21:31

Something else other than what you already know. Not that you want to do something else. Sorry. Sleeping pill popped and am fighting it as the football got interesting just as I was heading off to bed.

ValiumQueen · 21/06/2014 21:41

Football interesting??? Those pills must be strong PR Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/06/2014 21:43

Hey all, we're back. Had a fabulous time. There's lots to catch up on and lots to tell but it's been a long day so will be back when feeling more refreshed. Night quiche.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 21/06/2014 21:45

J is currently in his cot wide awake babbling away.... Very odd! He's never done it before....

BigPigLittlePig · 21/06/2014 21:49

Many many bruises and bumps for little pig today. And a cracking patch of pink high where daddy missed with the suncream Blush

Comical moment of the day.

Me to dsd: are you being a moody margaret?
Dsd:
F: mooooooooooooo
Dsd:

Love house porn, send more our way Pass.

Off to bed now, hoping for a lie in beyond 5.30 tomorrow!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 21/06/2014 22:11

Need help. I think vq is the one to ask? Loom bands.... There are so many... Which ones do I get?

misslaughalot · 21/06/2014 22:15

Evening all.

Butch O only started walking a month ago, just before she was 18 months. She's got the hang of it now though, there's definitely been less falling over this week.

We've just had our longest ever run of sleeping through broken tonight. She did 11 nights in a row, totally unheard of in this house, until tonight when she woke after being asleep 2 hours and couldn't get herself back off again. DP accidentally gave her a scotch egg while we were at a party today, we've been avoiding egg along with cows milk for the last few months which has been working a treat. Apparently he forgot Hmm

Nursery here is £44 per day, although we get a £1.50 discount for sending her on a Monday. MIL asked today if we were planning on still sending her when DC2 is born. Erm, yep. Not sure how I'm going to cope with 2 for the 2 days a week I'll have them both, let alone having them both on my own full time!

I have Monday off work and O will be at nursery, I plan on watching day 1 of Wimbledon in my PJs all day Tennis Grin

Paisleychick · 21/06/2014 23:03

Pr I was watching the football too. The second half was great.

diggerdigsdogs · 22/06/2014 00:36

Hello quick update. We are home safe and sound. It was touch and go that they would let us out on Friday night but they did.

We have to make an appointment with the high risk asthma team within a week or so. Then we'll see our paed after that.

Ds is very happy to be home as am I. You wouldn't know he had been so unwell only a few days ago. Fingers crossed this is it for this winter!

LuisCarol · 22/06/2014 01:32

For context, I normally put L down for bed. I've been withdrawing attention at bedtime to teach her to go to sleep without me. Usually she's ok but tonight she wasn't getting it so Mrs G took over.

L's words as she drifted off to sleep? "Called daddy, got mummy!"

#secondrateparent

PetiteRaleuse · 22/06/2014 05:34

I missed the last 5 minutes. Couldn't stay awake. And lucky that I got a decent if drug induced sleep as LO decided to get up at 6. Normally she likes to get up somewhere between 7 and 7.30.

Excellent Luis

Welcome back Eliza

PetiteRaleuse · 22/06/2014 05:35

And wonderful news digger I'm so glad you're home

ValiumQueen · 22/06/2014 05:58

Great news Digger Smile

That made me smile Luis Grin

PR glad you got some sleep x

Little Pig (((hug)))

Izzy we have tried a few packs. We got her the KrazeLoom set for her birthday and they are definitely the best quality. The ones from the works break quite a bit, the ones from the market are good enough, but I would buy more from Amazon as they seem to be cheap and ok quality. You really want the cheaper end of the market as they get given away or lost. I have yet to buy from Amazon but the reviews and variety available are great.
