Whoo-hoo go Minitugs! You're in so much trouble now

I vowed after the last move that we weren't budging for the next twenty years. Such was the upheaval and that was pre-children.

Birdies · 05/07/2014 21:32

Uh oh, and X has literally just turned 18 months. Please don't tell me it goes on for as long as the 4 month sleep regression did?!!

Good luck with the move tugs.

lolli don't worry re the milk as they really don't need it if they are having yoghurt and a bit of cheese etc. Plus there's the milk in mash, cereal etc. I think broccoli has calcium in too.

Birdies · 05/07/2014 21:33

Oops missed the bit re the walking, that's great tugs!

MsBug · 05/07/2014 22:37

Go little tugs!

fourlegstwolegs · 05/07/2014 22:45

Hello y'all!
My routine is pretty similar to everyone else's. I love listening to him coo and chatter in the morning before I go in.

Work has been frantic but hopefully mid August onwards it will calm down.
I want to go on holiday with Munchkin too but sad as this sounds I don't have anyone to go with! My married friends don't want me coming along really...it's something I've learnt - as soon as you are single, invites dry up!

OohQuack · 06/07/2014 00:57

We are getting "hewwo" and "iya" which I was ever so proud of yesterday.he's Ben saying it a while but I thought it was one of those ones just me and dp could understand, at tiny talk he was saying hewwo to everyone who came in n they were saying it back, so cute.

He's turned into a rightdribble king thought we skipped the whole bib phase but I've dug some out to save the gorgeous new clothes.

Oh and for anyone struggling finking entertainment for them take them to see the fish in the pet shop ;) your welcome!

How's the moving going? I love the idea of thinking about living in a new area but the reality and upheaval is not something I'm jealous of ;)

New windows FINALLY been given permission from thehousing aassociation (they own half n need to agree to let me do any improvements) they've only been needing doing for about seven years, the ceilings and leaks are fixed so no longer living in squalor and I've been off the fags for three months wooooooo.

Forelegs why not just go away for the night to a seaside or something? My parents are at their caravan for two weeks so me n dexter will hijack for a couple of nights for this year's holiday.

hey, I am back again. laptop broke but now fixed .. will catch up with thread x

meringue33 · 07/07/2014 09:28

Hiya Salt!

Congrats on the fags Quack! One day you will look back and won't be able to believe you were really one of those filthy smokers it will seem so far away! (It's ten years for me now can't believe it!)

Congrats Dexter on the speech and Minitugs on the walking. We've come on leaps and bounds with speech it's amazing. In the last week or so he's added "circle", "star", "doctor", "dirty"... And he has started understanding and following suggestions: "put that in the bin please" "go and find your hat" - I am very impressed.

Poor little thing isn't well at all today so he's been kept home. He's had a fever off and on all weekend and has just fallen asleep on me which is wholly unlike him. Doctors appointment at 10.45am.

lollipoppi · 08/07/2014 08:18

Wow meringue that's impressive!
How did the doctors appt go? Hope he is feeling better soon

Quack, we went to the local fair at the weekend and returned with a fish, dd loves watching it

Feeling a bit lonely at the moment Hmm DP is always working, and my mummy friends work opposite days to me. Both sets of parents live within 10 mins from us but don't ever call round or invite us round. We're suppose to be going to my good friends wedding this weekend, but mil is making up all excuses under the sun not to have the kids for the day Hmm looks like we can't go

I'm just glad the weather has been nice so we can get out of the house
Sorry for the miserable post!

salt1 · 08/07/2014 12:36

fourlegstwolegs I friend of mine has done holidays with an organisation called single with kids and has mostly had great times. seriously considering this myself for next year x

fourlegstwolegs · 08/07/2014 13:20

Oh salt that is a great idea. I'm going to look at that site now.

lollipoppi · 08/07/2014 17:35

Feel a bit knobby now after posting that I feel lonely then seeing your posts fourlegs and salt, sorry that was really insensitive of me Thanks

glorious · 08/07/2014 19:16

Oh lolli I won't speak for anyone but myself but I understand how you could feel lonely. And it must be really disappointing not to be able to go to the wedding. We are all here to support each other through whatever life throws at us, big or small Thanks

MsBug · 08/07/2014 19:49

Lolli I hope no one minds me saying that this thread is a place for all of us to vent about our problems, however big or small, no one should feel guilty.

Flowers to everyone having a hard time

Lostbobbles · 09/07/2014 06:52

Totally agree MrsB, Lolli sorry your feeling bit crap hope in laws sort themselves out and you get to go to the wedding god isn't that their sole purpose in life Wink , I'm still reeling from my mil pissing of for bloody months

L is talking loads but a lot of it only I can decipher.

Any one else have a ridiculous early riser, 6.20 today is a record. I've tried cutting down / changing naps but it just ruins her as she's horrible by 8/9am and I have to put her back to sleep (or falls asleep in car)

Packing not going well.....

Evil thoughts of four hour flight with mini delinquent are infiltrating my mind ConfusedConfusedConfused wonder if DH will let me hire a nanny

Single holiday club looks good going to pass to a friend, I'm lucky I have a single friend that is the best and always comes with me and is amazing with my munchkins GrinGrin

Right better go get Loud Mouth been shouting Mummy, Mum, Mummy.... For last half hour

lollipoppi · 09/07/2014 08:56

Thanks ladies Thanks
Me and DP had a chat last night, we're going to hire a driver to do the freight deliveries. It should take some pressure off DP and will stop me worrying about him falling asleep at the wheel!
Will also mean that when DP is at home he won't be as tired and grumpy

Lost I'm not envying all your packing and travelling, but the end result will be sooooo worth it Smile

Juniper, sorry I didn't get chance to get to the post office over the weekend, I posted the train track yesterday, so it should arrive tomorrow

salt1 · 09/07/2014 09:55

oh lolli don't feel bad, it did not even register with me til you pointed it out. it is ok to feel whatever you feel .. no prizes for the most miserable!! x

JuniperTisane · 11/07/2014 15:29

Look what's arrived through the post this morning! Daniel says thank you very much Lolli you've made his grotty wet day Grin

jan 2013- No, I will not have a new nappy
jan 2013- No, I will not have a new nappy
MsBug · 11/07/2014 16:51

looks great Juniper

We had a trip to the zoo this week, DD loved it especially the monkeys and the ice-cream

Last night dd was in the bath, and she signed 'nappy change' so I whipped her out, put her on the potty, and she did a poo. Definitely beats a poo in the bath Grin

I still don't think she's ready for potty training properly though as I don't think she would be able to hold it if there wasn't a potty immediately available.

JuniperTisane · 13/07/2014 17:09

Daniel has 6 teeth coming through HmmHmmHmm

MsBug · 13/07/2014 22:05

Blimey juniper hope the poor guy isn't too grumpy.

Dd is a cheeky monkey these days, she has now learnt the word 'no' Hmm

AppleCrumples · 13/07/2014 23:04

Poor Dan juniper Ivy barely lets me brush her teeth without a total meltdown so impossible to know if she has any coming in. Hope he copes ok.

msbug bet thats her answer to everything isn't it :)

Ivy has started trying to copy the older dc by getting into the fecking loombands. She obviously can't make anything but likes to put loads on her thumb and looks really pleased with herself!! Nightmare though as those little bands are not safe for toddlers Hmm

newbie6 · 13/07/2014 23:15

Hi all,

I'm trying to catch up on everyone and their LO's! Well my DS is doing great although reckon we must be on that sleep regression thing! Having finally managed to get him sleeping through again about 2 months ago he stopped and just won't do it. Goes down between 7 and 7.30pm, only has one nap and never asleep after 3pm but he has been waking around 11pm, 2am and sometimes 6am :(

Nightmare! Stupidly I am feeding him when he wakes as he tends to settle back quickly that way but sure I'm just causing bad habits again as I know the wee monkey knows how to self settle!

Ideas anyone?

X

lollipoppi · 15/07/2014 08:06

Smile Your welcome juniper! Dan looks like he is having lots of fun
6 teeth, ouch, i can only imagine the fun you must be having with that Hmm

lollipoppi · 16/07/2014 11:01

Newbie any improvement on the sleep?
Is he teething? Maybe just offer water when he wakes
