lady, very very best for tomorrow - excited for you!

beans, don't feel bad - you can't win - sometimes you take them in and feel such a fool when the GP quietly shoos you out. I also know some kids are just more high maintenance than others - just the way of it, though knackering!

dieds - well done on the new job and full time work! very good of you to agree....

Jammie - also meant to say, yay for your PTA efforts. DH just finished his year doing the job at our school. I can't say he is sorry to be finished, but I also think got a lot out of doing it. A bit of a strain on his tact and diplomacy though (but I bet that comes much easier to you than my DH...)

ShadyLadyT · 01/10/2014 00:17

Am so whacked, girls. Sorry to run out of time. I have to be at the Lindo Wing for 6.30 tomorrow, am supposedly on at 8. When I saw my consultant today she said that DD3 would have made an appearance soon anyway, which is a new experience for me! Have felt quite twingy though...Dinner at Heston Blumenthal's offshoot in Knightsbridge. Blow dry done. Ready to have this baby Grin DD1 lost her first tooth tonight, gutted I missed it...

ShadyLadyT · 01/10/2014 00:23

Beans - just saw your bit. Don't be hard on yourself. We all say/do things we regret in these situations at times. You're flesh and blood, not a jeffing robot! The background to your girls' lives is solid love and that's what they'll remember, not these small daft incidents.

beans39 · 01/10/2014 08:18

Thanks Lady. and I'm hoping your DD3 has arrived by now or is appearing as I write. oh, it's so very exciting. thinking of yoy so much x

IAmAPaleontologist · 01/10/2014 08:22

exciting! i do hope she realises she needs to update us from the operating table Grin .

Asparagui · 01/10/2014 09:13

Little Lady 3 is probably here! I only just say Lady's posts about the early start and stupidly just texted her wishing her luck. Oops. Can't wait to hear the name.

Beans, I have so many days like you describe. Also my middle child says horrid stuff about herself too. It's heart breaking and worrying and so hard to deal with. Today all three children screamed and cried as I left. I just kept walking as I had nothing left to give and needed to get to work. I felt awful leaving them with our (slightly odd and not very successful) new au pair. Motherhood is HARD.

I'm not sure my great move is going to work. I cannot find school places for the DDs and I'm not moving without knowing they will get a good place. If we can't move I can't give up work. I'm so gutted. We even thought of downsizing further so we could afford private schools but the decent privates are all full too.

IAmAPaleontologist · 01/10/2014 10:28

Arti that is so difficult :(

I really hope you can find a solution. You sound as though you just need to get out somehow, anyhow. I'm sorry I can't offer constructive help, I have not got a clue about the area you live in.

Honsandrevels · 01/10/2014 11:21

Just checking in to see how lady has got on. V excited.

Arti Could you start a thread about movement and waiting lists at London primaries? It might be less bleak once you know how muh movement there is likely to be. Plus you'd think private schools would be able to give you a much clearer indication of movement.

Beans Hope you feel brighter today. We all have those awful days where you feel utterly wrung out and you are counting down till bedtime. Could dd3 be ill too or is it a general clinginess? I get v touched out by that toddler clinging stage, it is a hard stage.

JustRubes · 01/10/2014 13:52

I've heard but not telling!!!! Grin It's beautiful and one of my fav ever!!!!

JustRubes · 01/10/2014 13:55

Sorry that was cheeky Blush especially due to my absence! It's been a whirlwind and I plan on a catch up soon now I'm getting back to routine after birthday week!!! My brother flew in to surprise me for my 40th and I still haven't recovered! He only left Yesterday though!! It's been fab but I don't think I have a hope of catching up!! Might request a vag style bullet point update if possible??

IAmAPaleontologist · 01/10/2014 14:40

Ooooooooh!

I am sure it is beautiful. The Lady has brilliant taste. Am taking your post as a sign that all is well and am therefore thrilled and may consider forgiving you Grin

Dd is off school on the hideous 48 hour rule post squitty bum and is driving me loopy. Of course she managed to be off on my 2 precious days off when I have got an exam coming up in the same week as placement ends so have all my evidence to do and a lot of learning of obstetric emergencies, malpositions and various other things. Urgh.

So far have entertained dd. Done painting of the salt dough models I did with her yesterday, bribed her with Land Before Time videos and hopefully learned Shoulder Dystocia and condensed the points down to a single side of A4 mind map AND cleaned teh kitchen and bathroom and put dinner on.

Want to attempt Breech birth before picking boys up. At least get my notes done ready to condense to mind map this evening. Am doing the typical thing of tackling the easy ones first Hmm. In my head this makes perfect sense, get them out of the way so I can concentrate on the tricky ones. The emptiness of my placement evidence file and the swiftness of time passing before exam somewhat suggest this may not be the best plan. But it is the only plan I have so I'm sticking to it Grin.

ShadyLadyT · 01/10/2014 15:25

Sorry my darlings, I have just been feeling so wiped out. Ok: my beautiful Claudia Florence Primrose is here Smile It's quite restrained for me Grin She is 6lb 13oz so near identical to DD1 6lb12 and DD2 6lb10. She has the same fuzzy feathery dark hair they were both born with. I have manaed some sleep which I never did withe the first two as was in too much pain. I feel very sore but it's manageable. DP was a great support but also very anxious and stressed and there was a sticky patch where my heart rate really plummeted...She looks more like DD1 than 2 which is odd as it was the reverse in the womb. I totally love her and she seems to have a different personality and look to either of the other two already, if it doesn't sound too daft. Thanks to all of you for the kind words, such a boost!

IAmAPaleontologist · 01/10/2014 15:32

Congratulations. wonderful name Smile . Enjoy those baby snuggles x

Honsandrevels · 01/10/2014 16:10

Congratulations Lady, how gorgeous, l love her name. Can you post a picture of her in the fb group at some point? Also congratulations to O on her lost tooth - was it her who walked on the day D was born? She likes to mark her firsts, doesn't she Grin

JustRubes · 01/10/2014 22:06

Congrats again Lady & family!! Xxx

TheInvisibleHand · 01/10/2014 22:33

how very lovely! congratulations to you all, looking forward to pics, just gorgeous, I'm sure!

TheInvisibleHand · 01/10/2014 22:40

PS aspara - I don't know what movement is like where you are considering, but looking around in my part of London, in some ways, if you hold your nerve, in year places do come up and I have a few friends who have moved from abroad and got good school places. Distance matters much less as when it comes to it, people with kids settled in school don't tend to move when a place comes up. if there are a few good options (especially largeish schools) it can be OK, but I know its a leap of faith and initially you may not get them all in the same school. So tricky.

Vagolajahooli · 02/10/2014 18:38

Hooray for teenynewlady. She is delish. But can I say something in all honesty, she is a Primrose, Claudia is a lovely name, but to me she will be Primrose. She looks just so squishy. All together I love the name though. Glad your pain management is a bit better this time, weird about the heart rate thing, poor you & DH, glad it is all safe now. Give her a big knuffle from us over here.

Vagolajahooli · 02/10/2014 18:40

Oh almost forgot, I've applied for a job as a disability advisor at a bris uni. Terribly excited about it. If I don't get it I will survive, just feels nice to be in the running for something that wants my experience and actually pays quite well. Way better than nursing or teaching.
