I haven't worn a bikini for eight years :-(. DD1 left me with stretch marks and since I've lost all the weight my stomach actually looks worse because of the stretched skin. This year, in honour of being a size 10 again I've bought a tankini which I may roll up if I'm feeling sensationally attractive and daring and want a brown tum.

We fly to Greece in 12 hours. I'm sitting here with anti grey emergency home dye on my head and Veet on my front bottom. The glamour is overwhelming.

IAmDeids · 02/08/2014 22:19

Arti have a wonderful time, I'm sure you'll look beautiful! Although I know sheet you'd coming from. My boobs are like a pair of spaniels ears since I lost weight!!Grin

Ladies I have a job interview in 2 wks!! Yikes. Totally different from my current job but working in the same establishment as DH which I find a lot weird...but it's a few more hours and much better prospects long term. So I do think I want it. Not had an interview in 5 years, I feel sick at the thought.

JamInMyWellies · 02/08/2014 22:49

Good Luck Dieds!

Aspargi, you are so tall and slim honestly don't worry about stretch marks. Once your skin tans you barely see them. I have them too.

JustRubes · 03/08/2014 09:30

Good luck deids!
Wow Arti I was planning to ask you about the update on house situ! Yippee I can visit you and Sybs together! Glad you have a decision.
Jam I'm off until around mid Sept now. I can't bare MCO flights although the shopping access of our hotel there is brilliant but the Disney express is quite nightmarish! I'm actually grounded for USA flights at the mo with a visa issue to sort.
Glad you got a deal. FB me your dates x

Mckayz · 03/08/2014 11:09

These are great. St Davids Shamrock Dragon Smile

Yes I really am a small child Grin

JustRubes · 03/08/2014 13:12

Arti quick question as I'm taking RE with dh since we are buying next year. Areyou moving there and still working same job? Just wondering as please do consider my area - work handier and way more house for your dosh. But if you crave London that's different. X

JustRubes · 03/08/2014 13:13

Talking

Vagolajahooli · 03/08/2014 14:19

haha for a minute I thought you and DH where taking religious education classes.

Faffing about on a lazy Sunday. Trying to get the boys enthused about going to the beach in a bit but DS1 just wants to play with the girls up the road and DS2 just wants to play angry birds.

Arti you made me laugh.

Jam when I'm stuck at home with the boys I do youtube workouts. My favourites are by fitness blender.

Hooray Deids. How's your tummy?

JustRubes · 04/08/2014 10:10

Haha vag yes it did look like that!! Less than you could ever imagine we would do that. talking REAL ESTATE!
I completely forgot to bid my annual leave dates for Jan - June next year. Total numpty. Woke at 4am in a panic as it closed at 12.
Sad news of a colleague hit by a bus in st Lucia. I didn't know him but horribly sad. Has a wife and 3mth old daughter. Killed instantly.

Vagolajahooli · 04/08/2014 15:47

St Lucia in Australia or the island? Gosh that is so terribly sad. I read about the memorial service for the three children & their grandfather who where on the MH17 flight so so sad. Had to squeeze my boys afterwards. I guess it reminds us how lucky we are, but really I'd rather not be reminded.

Mckayz · 04/08/2014 18:16

Good luck Deids!!

That's very sad Rubes. I saw about it on Facebook as my other flight attendent friend posted about it.

JustRubes · 04/08/2014 20:44

Yeah it really puts things into perspective Kayz. So sad.

Honestly Jam, you'll look great in a bikini. You'll never see these people again and your family love you just as you are and will only remember having fun not the size of your bum.

That said I never wear a bikini because of my surgical scars. I've a Mercedes Benz shaped scar from the bottom of my ribs across both sides and up. I think people would stare. It has faded a lot bow but you can see the join. Probably won't be much of a dilemma for our Norfolk hol though!

Aww Arti that is lovely about the au pair. Will you get another? Exciting to have a plan re the house/area etc.

Rubes I thought RE was religious education. I was baffled for a minute there!

Good luck deids! You'll be fine. Do lots of practice questions to yourself when driving in the car. Have you planned an outfit? I spend lots of time fussing about interview clothes because my normal workwear is scruffy.

Vag Did your boys enjoy the commonwealth gymnastics? My two were so excited. They think they'll be doing similar during next terms lessons!

beans39 · 04/08/2014 21:19

I wouldn't wear a bikini either, but am ravaged by enormo-ness. am a beast. you, Jam, will look glorious. don't worry. wise word from Sybs.

TheInvisibleHand · 04/08/2014 22:08

will look give you a wave from Norfolk Hons, we're headed there next week. I will definitely not be in a bikini....

JustRubes · 05/08/2014 12:56

Would it be completely odd to put ds in a queen size bed? Not going out buying one- but gave one from guest room in last house and now stored. Have just put it up in his room for family arriving soon as he will bunk in with dd while they're here but keep thinking should I just give it to him when we have no extended guests? Or will I create a problem. Does anyone know anyone who has a child in big big bed!?

IAmDeids · 05/08/2014 16:00

I'd do it Rubes. He will be fine. Both my cousins DC's in queen size beds...youngest is only 3Smile

Yes have interview outfit planned. Run through various questions etc etc. DH knows the roman heading up the interview, so both him and his boss have 'put in a good word' BlushShock. She said I've to relax it won't be a scary interview! I still feel sick at the thought. Although I looking forward to the 'tour of the establishment'.

Lots to take my mind off it though. Current work is chaos, my sis is home all next week then DD's birthday. And if I don't get it I'm off to Spain for the week on he 26th August. I can drown my sorrows at the AI GrinWink.

IAmDeids · 05/08/2014 16:01

That would be 'woman'. If an actual roman was heading the interview panel is run for the hills!!!

JustRubes · 05/08/2014 16:15

Lol Deids! I'm glad you clarified that!!
Think I'll sell his cabin bed and leave the queen for him. His room is enormous. Can always down grade him to a double later if we want the other for a guest room again.
Went for a run this morn. First in ages. Dog limping after 10 mins. Me too to be fair. Poor dog gets all or nothing. I'm upping her glucosamine and gonna take her on walks instead until she gets fit and her leg improves and run in my own until then. Despite cycling to school it's still hard to have too much time off!

JustRubes · 05/08/2014 16:15

When's the interview Deids?

IAmDeids · 05/08/2014 16:58

Interview is 18th August (DD's birthday).

What's up with your dog? Good to hear your back running though. I've got up at 6am twice in the past week to run before DH goes to workHmm. School hols playing havoc with my schedule Wink

Vagolajahooli · 05/08/2014 17:13

argh lost a post poop.

I haven't run for ages just a few long cycles, a couple of home fitness sessions & the usual cycling the kids around. Really missing my runs.

the boys started holiday horse riding lessons today. Gotta love cheap holiday activities. DS1 loved it & ended up helping out with DS2'S groups lesson which was after his. Poor DS2 by contrast was literally packing bricks the whole lesson.

DS1 has his girlfriend over for dinner. I bought some nice palmaham to put on pizzas for them to make their own dinner but he & his girlie ate it all while I was not looking. She's a bad influence. Luckily she is leaving soon as she is moving to Greenland. Today is the last time he will see her because she leaves while we are in London.

Deids maybe you should study up on Roman warrior techniques. Whatever you do don't mention the invasion.

Vagolajahooli · 05/08/2014 18:42

I really should have put a comma between 'post' & 'poop'. Kind of reads a bits...well wrong.
