Uveitis.... Sounds um... Interesting! Glad you're getting it checked pass

gt hope the lack of responses means that you got a flight somehow! We're all desperate to know what happened tho!

ValiumQueen · 02/05/2014 18:26

Ouch Pass. Thank goodness you went and got it checked. Not something you can mess with.

Well, I survived my first day back at work. Might pop something on FB over the weekend as I have had another work disappointment and need to think about what I want to do in the near future. I will be buying a lotto ticket for sure. But I survived Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 02/05/2014 19:48

Very good job you're getting it checked pass good lick for tomorrow. You good with eye drops? I got drops and a gel to be applied on my eye ball last year but I didn't have uveitis. Just a tip: don't google it. All eye problems (am sure this one is the same) are scary on google. I had a simple dust in eye and convinced myself I was going to lose it!

PetiteRaleuse · 02/05/2014 19:48

:o

Passmethecrisps · 02/05/2014 19:54

I am fab with drops and shit in eyes. No problem. I have had ulcers in both eyes so am no stranger. However, I am very pleased I went to the doc even though I started all "Soz. Wasting your time!" To begin with. I shall let you know how I get on. It is just a bit painful now and feels like I am looking through butter.

We had some very sad news earlier that my MIL's best friend has died. She was only 61 and fell in the bathroom. She has had so many troubles and our wedding was her first outing for many years. It is so sad that after all she went through a slip on a wet floor does it. Mil is devastated and DH is pretty stunned. He has literally known her all his life. Famously best friend said to mil "your waters have broken - you need to go to hospital!" And mil replied "time to finish my fag first"

Passmethecrisps · 02/05/2014 19:55

Oh, shit and please do share on FB vq. I suspect you have plenty to talk through

ValiumQueen · 02/05/2014 20:30

How sad Pass. That is no age.

Passmethecrisps · 02/05/2014 20:31

I know Sad Just a year older than my own mum.

Can I join the snuggle?

StuntNun · 02/05/2014 20:35

Fatima I've had a look at Which? and they have loads of reviews. If you send me a PM with your email address and which seats you are interested in then hopefully I can send through the reviews.

When I collected J from nursery he looked a tad blotchy of face, and had a blue tinge to his lips. The worker said he had been like that all day but was fine. He was frozen! His little hands were like ice blocks and the poor little chap was frozen! How could they not realise this? He pinked up nicely once he was wrapped up warmly. I was not impressed I can tell you.

PurplePidjin · 02/05/2014 20:46

VQ Shock wtaf?!?!

Passmethecrisps · 02/05/2014 20:57

That is disgraceful. It was really cold today. Poor wee man

PetiteRaleuse · 02/05/2014 21:23

Hmm. That's not good vq .

PetiteRaleuse · 02/05/2014 21:58

I decanted a gorgeous bottle of wine earlier. A leaving gift to DH from his job.

We are now drinking it.

With salt and vinegar squares, pickled onion monster munch and orange Club biscuits.

Screw you dh's old job :o

(Am keeping the other bottles for a proper meal - there were several)

GTbaby · 02/05/2014 22:09

We got on a flight. Grin Paid a fortune. But with everything arranged in terms of child care. Mum took time off etc. couldn't face cancelling to go home.
We lost track of time and were 1min late for bording Hmm but late is late.

I kept trying to post here and on FB to update you all. but I couldn't get coverage. Heathrow a way of making you pay for wifi? Maybe.

Pass hope your eye is better.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/05/2014 22:17

I have a message from kyz : she's in the middle of a house move and vvv busy, sends love to all, and will be in touch as soon as she can. She says she misses us all.

PurplePidjin · 02/05/2014 22:29

Judge pants moment Shock

Pizza place across the road. Out comes 2 adults with 1ish yo in buggy. walk across the pavement (2 yards?) unload child into car, buggy into boot etc. at 10 o'clock at night.

This place delivers btw.

I don't normally lollygag out of my front window btw Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 02/05/2014 22:42
Blush

I've done that pidj

Am assuming if both parents were there they were on their way home and starving. Didn't want to leave kid in car awake. ?? Or maybe they ate on site?

YellowWellies · 02/05/2014 22:54

Yeah Blush we've done similar arriving home late from a long journey and popped in for food when nearly home, knowing after our holiday there was nothing to eat at home. Disarm your judgy pants this time Pidj Grin

ValiumQueen · 03/05/2014 05:49

I agree, judgey pants inappropriate. If J were an only child, we would have done that frequently due to his lack of sleepiness.

fruitpastilles · 03/05/2014 05:56

Aargh, S isn't here and I woke up 20 mins ago, earlier than if she had been here. Stupid body clock. I am enjoying a nice peaceful cup of coffee and catching up on some telly. Miss my girl though.

Lily311 · 03/05/2014 07:35

Morning,

Huge tantrum this morning, I don't think she knows the reason why. I run out of coffee so I'm grumpy too. Going out in a minute, we both need fresh air.

I got judged by several people last week about O's bedtime. Here kids stay up and sleep 3-4 hours during the day, even in nursery. O is on strict routine and sleeps a maximum of 2 hours than in bed by 7. She wakes between 6-7. So people seem to think that I am being unreasonable to put her to sleep so early and deprive her from quality family time in the evening. I say fuck them but so sick of explaining that this works so well for her and for me, I will not change it at all.

Wandathewindfairy · 03/05/2014 07:52

Morning.

I have the same as you, kids seem to stay up later here, I prefer early to bed and get up at a good time ready for the day. I think they should have a good nights sleep. On a Friday and a Saturday night Ds1 is allowed to look at the I pad as a weekend treat but still ends up settling down at the same time around 7:30. And O is in bed by 7:10.

pass that is v sad news about your MILs friend and it always just goes to show anything could happen. And big hugs for your eye I will be thinking of you today, I hope that is easily sorted. Xxxxx

We had a lovely night out at the local Chinese last night and walked home in the light along the shore, it was just so nice to spend some time alone with DH in the midst of this crazy month.

And in other news DD1 has just completed her first ever school residential and IT WAS ALL OK. I was worried about her all week. Not about her being homesick as she has been on Brownie camp and she comes here, but about all the so ill stuff on residentially, and girls and fallings out etc. But it sounds like they had a great time. And got to sleep in dormitories (I think she pretended she was at Mallory Towers)

So just.....

PHEW.
