Argh lost post.

Vq my neck stiffened up 2 days after my accident. So please take it easy. I know easier said then done.

So I took A to Gp this morro. He has an infection on his tonsils. Poor baby. But explains his behaviours.

Glad it's not the eggs as I have a cake in fridge I want to eat Wink

Zamboni · 21/03/2014 15:55

VQ what advice would you give to anyone else after a car accident and with a hurt neck? Hmmm? Now follow it and get thee to a GP.

Poor A GT but hopefully he gets better soon.

PP if in doubt I would usually go and see a GP, especially on a Friday because it would be Monday before you could see if he gets worse.

Oooh yes lily, spam away, when you are ready of course. Is internet dating as popular over there?

chasing glad today went well. I am also fond of new notepaper I sniff it because I am a weirdo.

YW FX your niece is discharged.

I am about to sign out for the weekend will totally sneak on if I have a wifi connection. A friend's hen do, joint with the stag. Cottages on the moors, booze, possibly a walk but given the weather is scheduled to be shit I suspect I am only really likely to rowse myself for either a swim or the pub. But also - SLEEP! Did have to have an extra cuddle with the DC at nursery drop off because I won't see them until Sunday. Oh, and we had dress down day at work for sport relief and DD helpfully told me I look weord and silly. Charmer.

PurplePidjin · 21/03/2014 16:05

no chance of getting an appointment - it didn't flare up till gone 2. i still half suspect teeth as he's eating and drinking and no t burning up

applepieinthesky · 21/03/2014 17:19

stunt sorry about your grandma Thanks

chasing have been thinking of you today. Glad it went well.

Must try to keep up with the thread. I often read but don't get round to posting. This week we have been for bike rides, dog walks, swimming and yesterday was Nowruz (Persian new year). So lots of food and goodies, skyped ILs in Iran. C got to see his cousins and kept blowing kisses at them and kissing the screen!

My little bro got a job yesterday as an apprentice mechanic. He's chuffed to bits and relieved his three years at college haven't been for nothing. He is still finishing the course he is on which is two days a week and working at the garage three days a week. Then when he finishes college in June he will be there full time. He starts on Monday Smile

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? Will be a quiet one at home here.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2014 17:33

How is your FIL recovering apple ?

Can I just say I fucking hate Grandpa in My Pocket. Almost as much as Granny Murray, but not quite.

ChasingDaisy · 21/03/2014 18:02

I can't stand Grandpa in my fucking Pocket either.

Lily311 · 21/03/2014 18:17

What the fuck is grandpa in your fucking pocket??

Zoo tomorrow than my dad's bday on Sunday.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/03/2014 18:28

I too hate Grandpa In my fucking fuckwit
Pocket nearly as much as I hate the Tweenies but the children seem to love him Angry

Pikz · 21/03/2014 18:36

L currently in his fisher price telephone ringing childline to tell them what an awful mother I am preventing him killing himself

Pikz · 21/03/2014 18:40

Wine I need wine

StuntNun · 21/03/2014 18:41

We haz a goose from Lidl for dinner tomorrow. It is going to be awesome! I'm taking the boys swimming so that DH can do food prep. We will be having roast goose with apricot and chestnut stuffing, roasties, Yorkshire puds for the egg-eaters, red cabbage braised in red wine and steamed broccoli and asparagus. There will be no dessert. We aren't going to need dessert! I was so chuffed to find goose in Lidl on Monday as it's not normally available anywhere round here so DH decided to do a Nigella-inspired blowout.

R is going to my parents hopefully so I can get over this cold - I feel like I've been hit by a truck, and (tmi) brought up some phlegm earlier Envy bleurgh. He went down a treat, has mumped himself back to sleep once already, so I'm off to mope in the enormous bath I ran myself and to have a very very early night Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2014 18:56

stunt that sounds amazing.

applepieinthesky · 21/03/2014 19:36

PR he's doing much better thanks. Looked a lot healthier yesterday.

stunt can I come for dinner please?

C is having a tantrum because I won't give him the iPad. All the frigging toys he has and he rarely plays with any of them. He's been crying for ages now and won't stop. I won't give in though so don't know how long it will be until he stops Sad

applepieinthesky · 21/03/2014 19:39

He's getting really worked up. How can I calm him down without giving in? Or do I leave him? Oh I'm rubbish at this.

ChasingDaisy · 21/03/2014 19:47

I tend to try distraction apple. Lots of. 'Ooh O what's this?' etc. I can empathise - we often have similar meltdowns, usually over my phone, the remote control, or today's one - me not letting him hang himself on the clothes airer Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/03/2014 19:52

I know, what is it with clothes airers O pulled my very heavily Kaiden one on top of himself yesterday.

stunt sounds very decadently just what you all need. Xx

apple tickles.

BigPigLittlePig · 21/03/2014 19:54

Wil catch up properly in a min, but need the fingers of all quiche members crossed. Found out today that a friend from school and beyond, who I have known for 16yrs, has broken her neck, and not in a minor way. Currently in a stable but totally paralysed state with an horrendous contraption holding her head on her body. I believe they refer to it as a hangmans fracture Sad

Off to catch up, got the hint that Chasing might have some gossip...

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2014 20:05

Fingers firmly crossed piggy so sorry to hear about your friend Flowers

ChasingDaisy · 21/03/2014 20:13

Oh gosh pig, that is awful Sad so so sad. Fingers firmly crossed x x

Kyz · 21/03/2014 20:22

Hi guys! D'oh I missed the bedtime book postings, E is in bed already, but tonight we read 'that's not my tiger'. He has no attention span for books that aren't lift the flap/pop up/short. He likes this one particularly at the moment because he's just learnt how to say tiger this week, and it's a bit like TYYYYYGAHHHH which makes me giggle every time! Anyway...

Did you share the pic pp have I missed it? I couldn't see it on there

Glad you had a good time last night bplp and yaaaaay for another fab sleep from F, keep going little miss!

Oh stunt I am so sorry, big hugs and Flowers will be thinking of you

Glad AF has finally arrived sophia i am still waiting for mine. Have also been thinking of you today

fruit hope s is ok

brilliant zamboni so pleased S seems to be improving, hopefully over time he'll improve even more now then :) Awesome!

My family is massive on my mums side, I am one of six, my mum is one of four and her mum is one of 13. I think her mum was also one of quite a few. There are lots of us. I don't know so much on my dads side.

Glad J had a good night vq really pleased! Sorry about the accident, but please do get your neck checked out at some point won't you

Really glad you had a good day at work today chasing :)

poor A gt hope he's better soon!

Hope R is ok pp and you too, you sound rough atm :(

Have a good time Zamboni !

well done to your little bro apple my little bro is also doing mechanics at college :)

Not sure of weekend plans, we need to go shopping and i'd really like to take e somewhere this weekend, maybe to the farm or something perhaps

I don't like grandpa in my pocket either, e seems to like the theme tune though. Bloody thing.

bless you pikz have some wine and some hugs

gosh stunt that sounds amazeballs!

apple I don't give in with things like that either. E doesn't last that long though usually, and i usually say 'why don't you find me a book and we can read it when you've calmed down' and generally he'll sulk over to his books and we'll read one. Maybe a distraction thing like that will work?

gosh bplp everything firmly crossed for your friend

wondering how passs p is, and also how our lovely isles is getting on atm

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 20:23

BP I am so sorry. How did she hurt herself?

PetiteRaleuse · 21/03/2014 20:42

Watching House of Cards season 2. It's brilliant.

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 20:47

Zamboni you are right. Nurses make the worst patients.

BigPigLittlePig · 21/03/2014 21:08

Something to do with a mountain bike. It is awful to think of, because of the horrendousness of it, but also knowing how truly horrific this is from a parent point of view.

Anyway.

VQ I am glad J is better, may your throat swiftly follow suit.

Yay for af, Sophia! anyone care to tell me what af stands for?

Stunt Thanks sorry to hear that. 81 descendants though - wow!

Chasing I hope today went well, enjoy your date Wink
