Stunt that is quite a legacy. In our culture we give everyone Indian sweets to celebrate the life of someone who has great grandchildren. My thought are with you.

Sophie it's a lovely idea about the flowers x

Chasing you are great. You will be great at work.

I'm sick of being told A is hungry and that's why he cries. I'm sick of being told he just wants to be picked up. I'm sick of being told "because he breast feeds"

Zamboni · 21/03/2014 10:00

Big hugs to stunt and sophia. Flowers

Hi-5 to chasing on your first day.

Hey fruit, that sounds like a nice day. Hope S is back to herself soon. And on the same note, hope eliza's E and pass's P and anyone else who has been under the weather is feeling much better soon.

pikz any particular reason? Or just loads of stuff swirling around? Is work any better?

VQ ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAR. Glad you have a diagnosis. Hope J is much better too.

kyz, nice to see a return to epic posting.

S has been drinking Oatly instead of cow's milk and we have been avoiding cheese/butter/yoghurt for a week now (but not wholly excluding it). He has not slept through yet and the cough is not gone, BUT both are noticeably improved. Last night he coughed a lot in the evening, but was not distressed and when I got into bed with him at 10pm, I went to sleep and the first time I was woken was at 5.50 by DD coughing in the next room. S woke at 0610, all happy and delightful. Grin Grin Grin This is my his best night's sleep EVER!

Too early to be definitive, but perhaps cow's milk was a factor? We're back to see the paed's team on Tuesday for the nebulising treatment but looks like we will stick with cow's milk avoidance. AMAZING! Thanks to those of you who contributed advice - YW, BP, stunt, VQ and PR especially. Grin

PurplePidjin · 21/03/2014 11:37

I'm an only. I will have both my parents plus my childless Aunt and Uncle to deal with, all currently in good health in their 60s. That'll be fun Hmm It's a major factor in my decision for R not to be an only (my parents struggled to get me and would have liked more children)

fruitpastilles · 21/03/2014 11:48

So glad things seem to be improving zamboni hopefully with the oatly and the nebuliser his cough will improve even more.

S has been asleep since 10:40 for her to have a nap so early is unusual, she normally only naps for an hour but there are no signs of her waking up yet, with a bit of luck she will have a nice long nap and wake up feeling better, wishful thinking eh?! I should be busying around whole she's napping, but I don't feel the best myself either, so I'm catching up on some trashy tv and eating spicy cous cous.

Lily311 · 21/03/2014 12:32

Huge hugs stunt, what an achievement for your grandma!
And huge hugs sophia, I hope the day is not too rough for you.

I am just finishing off the assignment, hoping to submit it tonight. Have had enough already, af decided to arrive today.

My family is huge on my mum's side. My grandma passed away 10 days after o was born, o was the 20th great grandchildren. I have 16 cousins and my mum has 6 siblings. I am desperate for O not to be an only child, I am one of 4 and absolutely loved growing up with my siblings. My sister has 3 kids, my older brother 2 so far and it's great seeing the cousins playing together. I really hope at least one more child is on the cards for me.

It's 20 degrees here and planning to take o to the zoo tomorrow. My dad's birthday is at the weekend so will take him swimming and probably buy him a cake.

I've thought about a new theme for picture sharing on FB, how about favourite bedtime stories and our kids?

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 12:52

My phone will not let me scroll so sorry if I have missed anything vital.

J had a good night. Only one waking, when I brought him in with us, and DH did not even notice he was there until he woke at 6.45. Piriton is awesome stuff!

His rash is majorly improved, and he is a happy little boy again. He is eating too. I wish this could have happened on Tuesday, but am glad it is happening now.

I am on my antibiotics so hopefully will feel better soon.

Oh, and a bastardly bastard drove into the back of me so I have a broken car. The kids were not in the car thank God, and I am ok. Just shaken and a sore neck which I hope will not worsen.

I was entering a big roundabout. Morrisons in your town Pass. There was a car indicating, but changed his mind so I stopped to avoid a squish. Bastardly bastard did not stop. I got out of the car and he said 'you stopped' so I said 'yes I did. Shame you didn't'. He blamed me and did not want to give his details so I had to get loud. He said there was no damage to my car when there is a big dent in the boot and my tow bar is bent and smashed. His huge 4x4 did not have a mark. I managed to squeeze his details out of him as I refused to move until he did and it has all gone through the insurance.

I should have phoned in sick I think. Grr!

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 12:55

I can claim for the two car seats and thankfully have good insurance so have a courtesy car on the way and do not need to pay a penny excess in advance. Clearly his fault thankfully so hopefully it will not affect my no claims or anything.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/03/2014 13:01

I would see the go about your neck today vq just Incase it does worsen! best just let them cop a feel. And let the insurance comas y know you have had to do that. Hope you are feeling more together. Xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/03/2014 13:04

See the gp, please not the go. Smile

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 13:04

Do I claim for Js buggy in the boot? I cannot open the boot, but I don't think it is damaged. Isles you had a similar claim didn't you? When M was very small IIRC.

I had a similar accident 15 years ago and I was told by the hospital that I should have been in traction due to damage to my neck. I left it several weeks to get it looked at. I can move my arms and legs fine

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 13:06

X post Sophia.

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 13:06

I have logged it with the insurance and promise to go to the GP if it becomes sore.

ValiumQueen · 21/03/2014 13:07

More sore. Blush

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/03/2014 13:14

stunt wow. My family is titchy, on both sides. My thoughts are with you and the rest of your family Thanks

zamboni great to hear that S is doing so much better.

chasing Thinking of you today. Look forward to hearing an update of what it's like in the world of work.

I really must get motivated to do something. I've come to a bit of a stand still with the house. I'm not sure what to tackle next.

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/03/2014 13:19

vq well done on being shouty. what an arse hole. you don't need me to tell you how dangerous neck injuries can be, even though it's not really painful. Go to gp anyway x

ChasingDaisy · 21/03/2014 14:15

Well done on getting loud VQ - I would definitely want you in my corner if I was in a pickle.

Stunt, that is an incredible family. I have a tiny family on both sides. I would like one more child, I think but not for a long time

Work was really good. O was happy with nanny and grandad, who have agreed to look after him until a nursery place becomes available. Off to buy pens and highlighters tomorrow, but most excitingly - a new notepad Grin

Oh and possibly have a date this weekend. A cute, fun guy who I met on a dating site and was chatting to to take my mind off being single. Should be fun if nothing else.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/03/2014 14:18

chasing i am so pleased. I htink i might have been holding my breath for you all morning! Is it the pointless one? Love stationary, have fun stationary shopping!

ChasingDaisy · 21/03/2014 14:30

Different guy Sophia, he actually lives in the sane town as me, which is a first. Even Lily agrees that he's hot and she usually thinks I have rubbish taste in men.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/03/2014 14:38

Wow. And wow. That is a good vibe. Grin

YellowWellies · 21/03/2014 14:39

VQ there are no prizes for being a martyr. Especially with a potential neck injury. Docs my love! Even if you feel you never leave the place.

Speaking of NHS loyalty cards - my wee niece is off to her 60th hospital appointment today. Hopefully she'll finally get signed off by the neonatologist. Smile

Lily311 · 21/03/2014 14:39

You do, but that guy I'd do for sure. Many times. Oh well, one day it will be me spamming you with hot guy dates wishful thinking.

Oh no vq.

PurplePidjin · 21/03/2014 14:40

qq. my happy chappy of this morning has suddenly turned into a crying whining snotfaced bratling. he's been grabbing his ear and head butting into me, am i likely to be spending tomorrow morning flat walk in trying to get antibiotics?

he had ibuprofen at 1:30 and will get calpol at 4:30

StormyIsles · 21/03/2014 14:58

Just a quickie, vq def see about your neck. I had someone run into my car and write it off when m was about 3 months old. We weren't in the car luckily. They paid out for the car seat and pushchair (even though pushchair wasn't damaged but apparently it was their policy) but surprisingly not the car seat base. I'd at least put in a claim.

PS don't do what I did and crash the hire cars Blush

PurplePidjin · 21/03/2014 15:02

although his final molar has finally started making an appearance... but he's not been miserable like this with the others? Sad
