We have quite a range of ages and they each develop at their own rates... so what can your toddler do?

soph when was your call with them? And when was the letter written? Didn't they say they would think about it and give you an answer in a month? There's dodginess going on there...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/03/2014 15:53

Nail and head spring to mind yw I sort of fell into it! I suppose if a humanities and social sciences graduate can turn their hand to an engineering job then I should be able to do lots of things Wink

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/03/2014 15:59

They wrote the letter yesterday after my call, it just says my job is not a work from home job and can't be done as such. I suspect had my old management team (pre restructure last summer) were there they would have given it a fair go but no. I haven't responded. They have asked if they can talk about my other options on Friday. I will talk my next Move over with DH and see what he says. I am annoyed because I contacted them In Jan to deal with this knowing that if I were to resign I would need to give a months notice. And they left it till yesterday to really delve I to it. They say they have spoken to HR about what else might be available but I may ask to see the correspondence. Because even yesterday they were saying they had not heard from HR.

I can provide a bit for the girls from savings till June. But I do need to deal with that for post then.

So I need to get my cv right and I think be quite strict about what I really want, I.e local, part time, not so much brain strain that I am too tired to have fun with the boys, but enough to challenge me etc.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/03/2014 16:00

Or homeworking Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 05/03/2014 18:15

Well I'm quite pleased with the freelancing I have done so far. Shame I can't bill for it yet Hmm

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2014 19:26

Hey Sophia, if it is any consolation, I got shafted today too Grin and not in a good way. The training course went to the girl least able and least suitable for it. I did kinda talk myself out of it as I said I was not prepared to spend 20 hours of my own time each week doing the study alongside the course. I want to see my kids. Anyway, if either of the candidates (no idea who else got it) drop out, it is mine, and they are saving funding for me to do it next year allegedly, which is actually pretty cool if true.

I wish I could find a niche to do home working and earn enough. I am good at crafts and could do proof reading type stuff, but doubt either would pay enough to live off.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/03/2014 20:11

Jabs done Smile and with relatively little screaming. Also popped into hv for 12m check. Bit of a waste of time but I can tick that box anyway. I would always have got her vaccinated, just wanted more info before doing it. Hopefully littlepig will follow Js lead, Stunt, and sail through.

Lily that's tricky. Why did it take so long to arrive? I'm afraid I would probably keep it if it's only £10 - the hassle of returning it after waiting so long and having to re-order etc.

Sophia Sad sorry they can't see what a good thing they've lost.

We have daffodils out in the garden. F is fascinated by them.

Erm.

I'm eating Christmas pud

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2014 20:15

Probably a bad idea as I didn't get my Brew and sit down after the vampires had me as they forgot me and I sat like a lemon for 45 minutes, but hey ho Hmm

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/03/2014 20:37

Sorry sophia. They are complete idiots to lose you.

This day 2 years a go I got my BFP. This day a year a go I was in hospital with Ella. Am pleased to say today has been uneventful!

PetiteRaleuse · 05/03/2014 20:39

I missed a lot of posts last night and this morning. Meant to catch up but didn't. lily it depends on the seller tbh. If it was a big company I'd just keep it. If it was individuals selling crafty stuff they had made for eg I would fess up and pay up or return. £10 is significant to someone just setting up and it may not have been their fault it was late iyswim. If it was amazon I'd not bother

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/03/2014 21:09

Ahhh yes I forgot my two year ago BFP was on 1st March. Pants.

lily I think I concur with pr

Night all. Has been an intense one with all going on. Think I will try to finish my book and get a good night. Xx

Passmethecrisps · 05/03/2014 21:11

Passes Wine

Sorry sophia Sad

Parent's evening tonight. Chat smile nod chat smile nod chat smile nod chat smile nod. All good. Love a bit of parent chat.

The behaviour chat is interesting. P is utterly bonkers. A complete force of nature. I am often worried that people are tutting.

And re morning. P often wakes while I am in the shower and DH is downstairs doing bottle and coffee and aging pussy business meaning that she is frequently left for a good wee while. She can actually go in and out of snoozing for over an hour if she is in the fettle. She rarely demands immediate attention and f she does it is usually teeth / hunger related

GTbaby · 05/03/2014 21:22

Lily agree with pr. depends on the seller.

I leave h until 8.30. If he wakes before 8 he mostly falls back asleep. I usually find him looking out the window way Jong the cars go by.

Took H out to buy his first shoes today. My big baby is growing up. He is a massive size 7f!

So for clarks buying ppl. If I go to clearance section and buy 8/9f will that be ok? I wouldn't think the width would vary? As I am not spending £30+ on shoes every few months!
Pair i originally liked were£50!

PetiteRaleuse · 05/03/2014 21:22

Can't remember when my bfp for either was Hmm that's annoying.

Kyz · 05/03/2014 21:33

Evening all :)

Glad dd1 likes her room eliza

sophia your me-channelling post was brill! :)

Am also missing detective hope all is well missus. Mind you I miss everyone when they don't post, I get very attached to people, especially you quichesters

pp what a nice idea. My wishes for e are that he is happy and healthy. I wish for him to always be able to come to me about anything and everything, I wish for him to be confident and comfortable and whatever he wants to be. I want him to be a kind, caring, understanding person who treats everything with respect (all life, not just peoples!) and finds something to smile about every day. I hope he never takes life for granted, and I hope he never grows out of hugs and kisses

I love pancake day! Unfortunately was very busy and only got to eat two cold ones at gone 8pm. Oh well! Two pancake days pr?! I need to live in France!

lily you are so very thoughtful! and very sweet :) I didn't have a wobbly teary moment because of it, oh no

Haha fruit e is the same! I have to read the same book for what feels like the entire day! he just focuses on one usually. Today we had that's not my penguin and a lift the flap doggy book thingy. Yum!

Bless r and his split lip pp e has a cut on his nose today from falling over :( he's so accident prone!

E's sleep has changed a bit recently but it's bed time at 7. I'm trying to drop a nap as I'm assuming too much daytime sleep is the reason behind the bad nights we've had here recently, where he just wakes up with a start, stands up and screams blue murder, sometimes several times a night. He gets up between 6-7:30 ATM. I have always been really lucky with his sleep and I'm burying my head in the sand about recent weeks and also trying not to go on about it because I know some of you have a terrible time with sleep :( up until a fortnight ago though we had 7-7 at night and 10-11 and 2-4 in the day. Sadly I think two naps is behind us now :( I would put e's bedtime back but dp works nights and I'd not see him for any version of alone time if e went to bed later, the 7 bed time means hours with e then an hour or two together. Usually I'm busy for at least half of it but still! it means I get a shower in peace and dp has e's monitor.

Eek yw 12 week scan stuffs! You're making me v.broody Blush

sophia if e is happy enough I leave him to it whilst I finish my coffee/whatever. He often just talks to his teddies or whatnot for ten mins whilst I gather my thoughts. Also it's definitely their loss re: work. You are very much completely awesome

Glad jabs are done bplp

My BFP was 10th march. I won't forget, it's my sisters birthday!

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/03/2014 21:36

I only remember E's as it was my friends birthday. I took a test as I was due out on a heavy weekends drinking (after just finishing a heavy weekends drinking) and thought I shouldn't do it again if I was preggo. Turned out I was! I have no idea when my BFP from DD1 was! I could probably narrow it down to which week it was if I really thought about it.

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2014 21:39

My bfp was 1st April Hmm

Feeling a bit wobbly. Bedtime. Night all

YellowWellies · 05/03/2014 21:40

Kyz my BFP was March 10th too! Smile

Pikz · 05/03/2014 21:46

Pass I too have a small force of nature and have seen people tutting as he's so big they assume he's older and should be able to understand a lot more. People are always shocked when they realise how young he actually is.

My bfp was 13th march, my late nannys birthday. It felt like a pressie from her after all the heartache over conceiving

ChasingDaisy · 05/03/2014 21:48

My BFP was 2nd April Pidj Smile

Pikz · 05/03/2014 21:48

GT the measurement they give you has room in. If they are too big you may find he falls over a lot so you might want to check.

Startrite come up bigger than Clare's so a 7f in those would give him growing room

BigPigLittlePig · 05/03/2014 21:52

Dunno when my bfp was. 2 days before I went on my honeymoon. Could find it out.

I do know that F was an april fool baby, if you get my drift Grin

When she wakes in he morning, she immediately cries. Loudly. So I bring her into our bed on the rare occasions I'm actually in it as opposed to her floor and she will cuddle in for aaaaages. This morning she fell back asleep again, typical on a work day.

Sleep well Sophia and Pidj x

Hope Operation Nap-Drop goes ok Kyz. You mustn't feel you can't post about bad sleep because of us moany overtired whingebags! Bad sleep sucks, whether it's one night or 400 odd nights. Shall just add you to the morning coffee list Smile

StuntNun · 05/03/2014 22:34

When J wakes in the morning I go in at a run, even from full deep sleep. Am I doing it wrong? I just want to get to him before the full on screaming starts.

Hoping for fewer than five wake ups tonight. The first one will be just as I've got to sleep I guarantee it. Confused
