Hi I am new to Mumsnet and new to Streatham and would love to get in touch with other mums here in SW16, find out about playgroups/ nurseries/ classes etc.

Please get in touch if this is you, thanks !

Hi and welcome.

Sorry no one has replied to you yet...lots of people are all 'caught up' in mumsnet's current "situation" so I think threads are going unanswered far more than usual. Don't give up though! Thsi reply will 'bump' your post back into active conversations for a bit and you may get a reply.

If not, just leap in to any other thread that looks interesting and join in.

A quick way to find current hot talking points is to choose "active conversations" from the beigey box at the top of the page (lots of MNers choose 'without buying/selling' too to limit the numbers)

Hope thsi helps!

Hello Nickie - I live quite near Streatham, and there are a fair few Streatham MN-ers...keep bumping and they will be along. Actually, search under the 'meet-Up' section, because I think there has been a Streatham meet-up quite recently!
Lots of people on hol atm.

How old are your kids? Are you new to the area? I'm not close to your postcode area of streatham, but i think there is a good toddler group based at the St faith's Chuch hall near Sainsbury's.
Are you looking for a good day nursery?

Hi Nickie - I'm in Streatham! DD is 16 months old. How are you?

Verso · 13/08/2006 22:10

P.S. DD goes to a good nursery near Streatham Hill station - lovely people there. I'm off on holiday for the next week though, so may be a bit slow to reply, sorry!

ah thank god I thought I was the only person here ! ha ha you don't see too many mums walking around Streatham, for some reason. I have 2 girls, 3 tomorrow and 1 in 2 weeks and am pregnant again due in Jan. I have recently moved to Streatham from Wandsworth and unfortunately had to go back to work the week after I moved in so I haven't had much chance to get to grips with anything. I've found a nice little nursery on Sunnyhill road which I'm going to try out. Would love to have more chats though, to find out good parks etc, the one on Streatham common is a bit grim! haven't ventured to the 1 o clock club yet either.

Nickie - there is a nice little park at Hillside Gardens just off Hillside Rd. It is rumoured that a few Mn-ers have been spotted there, too!
