Wow, Hales, I'm impressed! DS doesn't walk or talk either, although he communicates very clearly in other ways and can get anywhere in the house, including onto beds, chairs etc. he did take a few steps last month but seems to have decided it's quicker to get round in other ways!

A long day ahead here too. I've got to go to a lecture at 9, then teach 3-5. It's the first time DS will have been to nursery all day!

Stacks · 21/01/2014 07:27

Willyou, one of T'd favourite things to do is lick/suck my nose. He does it so often that he now follows it up by wiping it himself too, accompanied by his 'dah' (yuk) sound. It's really cute and makes him smile loads. :)

Finally home after 10.5 hours now to do dinner...! Dd's trying to pretend play with me but it's just annoying me Blush trying my best to join in and not show it!

Equimum · 21/01/2014 18:16

Thanks Hales. DS did really well for his first full day of nursery, and my teaching wasn't too bad either. We're both exhausted, but once I've fed and bathed DS, I've got to prep for Thursday's teaching. Brrrrr!

Barbeasty · 21/01/2014 19:48

A's walking/ running now, and has started to walk in preference to crawling. We get a few words, and his key worker is excitedly convinced that he can say her name!

Still no clapping or waving though.

This evening he was going through the cupboard where all their plates &cups etc live. He was getting out a sippy cup, putting a lid on, and sucking on it. He'd look confused that nothing was coming out and get another one out. Until all our cups were covered in dribble and on the floor! Obviously when I got him a drink he took a sip and then batted it away. .....

DD has been pushing her luck this evening, and after we'd put them to bed there was lots of noise from upstairs. DD had climbed into the cot with A.

WLmum · 21/01/2014 20:04

Oh dear beasty!

T does that with the sippys too - I just put them back!

ddas · 21/01/2014 20:32

I put them back too Blush.

ddas · 21/01/2014 20:33

& hales wow at all the talking- a little chatterbox :)

Barbeasty · 21/01/2014 21:09

I left them on the floor for DH to deal with although it normally all goes straight back in

MrsNutella · 21/01/2014 21:26

Well last night DS slept fairly well. He squeaked a bit but didn't wake. But tonight he woke, almost an hour ago and was inconsolable. A nappy change cheered him up briefly and now he is racing around the flat (DH is in his office on his computer) and shouting lots. There is also lots of dibble....

He just came racing into the living room and did a big fart. I told him he was a farty pants. He shouted and then bit me on the toe Blush this child is nuts!

WLmum · 21/01/2014 21:42

Haha nutella!
beasty they often stay on the floor until I get home from school run/swimming/work etc

Barbeasty · 22/01/2014 07:18

A slept better. He still woke at about 10pm wanting to come in and feed, but then we all slept well with only one wake up between then and when I got up.

DD decided to climb into the cot and play with him this morning- he looked relieved when I took him out and got him up. I don't know what's in her antibiotics, but they're sending her wild. I left her having a tantrum about not wanting to go to forest school today.

I'm at work, but I'm the only one in the office for now.

halestone · 22/01/2014 10:27

Well done A Grin i have certain tablets which i only have to take once in a blue moon Beasty, but they change my personality for about 3 days. My mum has told me she hates me taking them as i am horrible.

H has started talking in her sleep for the last 4 nights, its abit weird.

Wow hales we only have burbling, no words yet and definitely not sentences! Cutlery is the latest exciting thing for O - making quiche eating much tidier but severely complicating eating a sandwich! Hmm

In other tmi news, it's been a fortnight since last bf and think my periods are at least attempting a comeback. Never thought that would ever be a welcome thing...

WLmum · 22/01/2014 20:22

Hoorah for af utopian! I think she must be on her way to me soon as I could eat everything in the house!

halestone · 22/01/2014 22:03

Yay Utopian Grin i've got mine now.

MrsNutella · 22/01/2014 23:22

Utopian and the other AF celebrators hurrah and you're nuts! Grin

Everyone is asleep. We took DS to sealife centre today. He loved it. The tunnel bit blew his little mind! Of course he is asleep. Has been fairly solidly since about 7:45pm. DH is asleep. I am awake..... WHY???!!!Confused I think it is scan related. Tomorrow is the 12 ish week scan and I'm worried. I don't feel at all pregnant. I'm getting a little bit more squishy round the middle than usual but other than that and no AF that's it. I know it's stupid but I'm still worried. Sad
Can I please have a bit of hand holding and possibly a smack / kick up the bum tomorrow?

halestone · 23/01/2014 00:01

Nutella i'll offer my hand to hold for tomorrow. I hope you have a great scan and everything is positive. I remember those nerves well. I hated scan days until they were over and i knew everything was ok.

OP posts:
utopian99 · 23/01/2014 04:31

Am here for hand holding too. I used to have real problems sleeping before scans - we just naturally fear the worst, but I'm sure the proto-nut will be in excellent health.. Smile

WillYouDoTheFandango · 23/01/2014 06:33

Handholding from me too Nutella. I shook with fear at both my 12 and 20 week scans.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/01/2014 07:04

I'm sure it'll be fine Nutella Smile my 12week one with ds was scary.

Hopefully that'll be you soon utopian!

Barbeasty · 23/01/2014 07:26

Fx Nutella. I remember with the 12 week scan for A, I was convinced I'd get in there and find I'd imagined it.

Utopian may this be your only af before you get a bfp!

MrsNutella · 23/01/2014 08:22

Thank you ladies! You have really cheered me up Smile I was lying in bed last night and my mind was racing.

We are off to look at a little house for rent on Saturday. We need more space and I'm really excited because it is near some other English speaking mummy friends and it looks great. I just hope it all clicks into place IYKWIM. There is so much going on at the moment and DS seems to be in a state of flux with brain burp - but he slept last night until 4am and then came in with us until 8am.
He's just turned on DH's radio and is having a little dance. Grin
