That is impressive beasty!
hales T doesn't eat as much as others seem to and isn't all that reliable. I offer her plenty throughout the day and have to assume that if she's hungry she'll eat. Today at lunchtime she refused her sandwich, baby biscuits, baby crisp things and yoghurt but wolfed down a scrambled egg. She most often eats a big bowl of porridge with puréed fruit for breakfast, has boob about 9 if I'm around before a nap, usually not much lunch or snacks but more boob if I'm around before another nap and fx some tea but amounts vary. If I've been at work she always has boob as soon as I get home and then of course at bedtime again.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/01/2014 23:35

Hope your grandad is okay Hales Thanks

It's my first day back at work tomorrow. Can't sleep, got a churny stomach Sad

MrsNutella · 06/01/2014 02:13

hales I hope you managed to get some sort of supper and that your grandad is ok. Thanks

beasty DS was being carried in the ergo by DH the other day and if DH wasn't quick enough he would steal the crisps DH didn't need was trying to eat.
Often when we go out if we have chips DS will eat a couple. DS is a total carb freak! I think if he was offered some bread and butter he would follow anyone home.

DS's eating habits are a bit hit and miss. He does like fruit and vegetables but his tastes seem to change regularly. He isn't keen on egg at all though. Cucumber and tomatoes he will often give a good sucking. Meat is hit and miss too. He will usually eat a sausage and often chicken but not always.
Porridge fingers he loves! Great as an on the go snack too. When we were in England at Christmas he ate everything. It was very impressive. But I think he grew a bit. Who knows.

DS has done really well today. Although even the hotel staff noticed he wasn't his usually cheeky self. They all love him and chat to him when they see him. He is such a little flirt with the ladies! And he has suddenly sprouted three new teeth! We have 8 now. Poor little man.

Keep your fingers crossed. We are picking up the camper tomorrow and we can begin our adventure.... Which will probably start at a big walmart Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 06/01/2014 06:21

Yuck beasty!

Ds is always stealing dd's drink which is usually squash. He also had some of dd's happy meal Shock which we didn't allow dd to be exposed to until she was well over 2! Poor second child...

Hales I hope your grandad gets better soon.

Hope you have a fabulous time Nutella Smile

Ds woke really early this morning Hmm 5:45 but came into bed with me and had the most amazing cuddles! Was lovely, but would have preferred a lie in!

utopian99 · 06/01/2014 07:03

Fx for your grandad hales.

Soo jealous of the holiday nut - first day back here, we have been letting O into bed as he wakes at 6 and this means he goes back to sleep till after 8. Grin Not now work's started though, and this morning he didn't go properly back after 5.. ick.

he has, with no tears at all, happily swapped boob for cow's milk at night apart from his last feed before bed though! which I secretly want to keep

Maryland2013 · 06/01/2014 07:34

Hope your Grandad is ok Hales.

Good luck back at work Willyou, hope it goes ok.

Happy holidays Nutella!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/01/2014 07:37

That's great utopian. Keep the last feed, cutting out those night time ones could make all the difference!

Good luck WillYou! It's not as bad as you're imagining Smile

Equimum · 06/01/2014 09:42

Good luck to everyone going back to work today. I'm back tomorrow, but normal routine has commenced this morning.

Hales I hope your grandad gets better soon.

Glad DS wasn't upset Utopian, and I hope you get some luck soon.

Before Christmas, DS was barely eating, but now, he's eating for England. He'll give most things a go, but all the treats over Christmas have made him a fiend for sweet things, which are usually very limited!

Enjoy your road trip Nutella

Barbeasty · 06/01/2014 10:23

DD is quickly learning not to leave chocolate anywhere that A can reach.

And to top yesterday's swimming off, after the lesson I took A's swim nappy off, and stood him up against the bench while I got his clothes out. He grasped the bench and did a wee. It really looked as though he was at a urinal!

Enjoy the road trip Nutella , good luck back at work WillYou and hope your grandfather is ok Hales - have a big breakfast today.

halestone · 06/01/2014 11:28

Hope you Enjoy your 1st day back WillyouThanks

Nutella, i hope you enjoy your holiday now that your camper van has arrived.

Beasty i'm loving the idea of DS thinking the bench was a urinal.

H has just run out the room to fart, then came back in haha.

My grandad is ok they are just trying to lower his temp and find out where his infection is coming from.

Glad to hear that hales, about your grandad, not H,although I am loving the stories! Dh came home to a hero's welcome from O after his first day back at work, it's so sweet. In other news my boobs are so full I can't hug O or dh, it hurts so mmuch. He had some before bed just now then I had to stop before he was sick, so still uncomfortable. Will they get worse overnight or absorb? How long does adjustment take?

SpottyTeacakes · 06/01/2014 20:18

Mine took 24 hours I think utopian. Maybe a bit more. If they're really bad you can hand express a little bit off but only enough to just relieve the pressure. Don't forget painkillers!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/01/2014 20:31

I've got a mark on my boob. Looks like a small green/brown bruise. Started off as what felt like a bit of dry skin 3/4 months ago.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/01/2014 20:44

It wasn't too bad, and I only have one more day (at home) until I have Wednesday off! Yay! They have lost my laptop though Hmm, my boss was two hours late and they'd used my desk as a dumping ground for old manuscripts. I made lemonade from lemons though and spent the day sorting and shredding the papers. The drive was terrible in the pouring rain though.

J was literally up all night. It's like he knew I was working the monkey!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/01/2014 20:45

Go and get that checked please Spotty, probably nothing but pregnancy and breastfeeding can play havoc with boobs.

WLmum · 06/01/2014 21:08

utopian I guess that shows that he's still been taking quite a lot. I'd go with hand expressing a bit so you feel a bit more comfy.
hales glad your grandad is ok (sort of).
Good luck to those returning to work.
We did the first school run after Xmas today in the mega rain and wind - thankfully dd1 had an inset day so we could all just walk to dd2s preschool and not have to do the car and double drop.
Zanussi are giving me a new higher spec machine!

ISpyPlumPie · 06/01/2014 23:11

Glad your grandad is improving Hales.

Fab news about the washing machine WL.

DS1 was off nursery due to an inset day too. I thought it would be nice to have a bit of a day out, so we went to the Legoland Discovery thingy at the Trafford Centre. Stupidly, it didn't occur to me that half the other schools in Greater Manchester would have inset days too so it was very busy, but both boys enjoyed it and they still let us use a term-time offer so it only cost a tenner.

MMR in the morning Sad

halestone · 07/01/2014 11:00

Quiet night on here so hopefully thats a positive sign of good sleep all round Grin

WL great news about the washing machine.

Spotty i second Willyou and think that you should get that checked out asap.

I have forgotten what else i've read will read back and come back.

Utopian i hope your boobs are feeling better today, i was one of the lucky ones. I had a night out for my birthday and for some reason just stopped producing milk overnight.

Ispy i hope DS's jabs go ok today.

OP posts:
ISpyPlumPie · 07/01/2014 11:40

Wow it was quite - thought I'd killed the thread with my boring ramblings Grin

N's jabs were fine. He got a bit upset but was all smiles by the time we left and is still charging around causing chaos. DS1 was fine too and explained to the nurse that N "might get a bit upset but he'll be ok and he needs his injections to stop him getting nasty viruses" so he must listen to me sometimes!

ISpyPlumPie · 07/01/2014 11:41

quiet

halestone · 07/01/2014 11:49

Awww Ispy that sounds so cuteGrin

My Niece is watching Frozen and shes dancing and singing at the top of her voice, around the living room doing all the actions. H is watching her and looking abit bewildered and shocked.

OP posts:
WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/01/2014 13:49

Glad N was okay Ispy.

J had a terrible night again, he keeps screaming in his sleep. Apparently there's a developmental leap around now that can disturb sleep and I hope to god that's it. Two nights of 3-4h per night.

Today is his first nursery day, he went off with the nursery nurse no trouble. I want to go and get him now. I miss him today because I'm working at home. 3 hours to go!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/01/2014 14:35

Not long now WillYou! I've personally found with both dc there's a few issues around a year wrt attachment and sleep etc.

You really think I should get checked? I'd feel pretty silly it's such a small mark Hmm

Barbeasty · 07/01/2014 15:30

Spotty just don't ask your doctor boss if he'd mind having a quick look at your breast!

WillYou I hope he runs straight to you when you get there!

I managed to get A down in his cot yesterday, not only for a nap in the day but also at 6.30pm. So now operation stay asleep beyond midnight can start!

I well and truly have a climber on my hands. I'm sticking a video up now. I think his next target is the light switch which will mean getting onto the back of the sofa. He's working on it!
