Just wondering if any of you areconsidering tackling potty training during the nice weather or whether it's still too early???

my DD was an oct 04 baby and im not even thinking of potty training as yet as she is not ready...but ive bought her a potty and she just playing with it and learning to sit in it and outside on a warm/hot day i leave her nappy off and potty is on standing by! ...but one of the oct 04 babies is already potty trained by the time he was 14 mths old!!

Good luck if you decided to do it

she tells me when she's done a wee or poo and cries if she does one on floor. Happily sits on potty (and has done since 6 months)... Not sure if I'm suffering from "you were out of nappies by your first birthday" syndrome or am really listening to dd... Her vocab is excellent and despite neurotic changes from me she flares up with excruciating nappy rash from time to time and I would be so glad for her not to have to contend with that...

Go for it, if you think she's ready! We aren't ready here, DS tells me when he has done a poo, but that's about it. I think we may start at the beginning of next summer. To be honest, I am also to lazy to start now! Also, being 33 weeks pg isn't helping. Deffo don;t want to start now in case he isn't done by the time the baby arrives, as don;t want potty training +sleepless nights!!!!

Good luck!

Can you believe they are coming up for 20 months already?

Would love to know how you got on. I've just spent a housebound week with my DS while he left little deposits of both varieties all over my house. I've worn my fingers to stubbs scrubbing the floors and my nice expensive rug in my lounge, my legs are 2 inches shorter than they used to be from running around after him with a cloth in one hand and a potty in the other and I'm a nervous wreck. We called a halt on Saturday when we caught him with an intense look of surprise on his face as he produced a stunningly huge amount of wee right in the middle of our beautiful rug. It's back to nappies for a few weeks and then I'll try again.

Hi all - my ds is a November 04 toddler and I am just starting to think of it now, I have bought a potty and he tells me when he has done a poo, but not before hand and he doesn't know when he is tinkling Am not really sure whether to start or not - we have new baby due in October, so really wanted him clean by then if I do start - any advice?

I think I will wait til next summer now. DS tells me when he has done a poop but not before hand. Also he has a 4 month old sister and wanted to get them sleeping in the same room and things.

Mind you... if I wait till next autumn, I could try training them both together.

Is it true that girls tend to find it easier to figure out the signals than boys? Know loads of people who have trained DD's at 18months and waited til 2.5 with Ds's.
