Teeheehee he's foing massive farts now!

May be delirious as have been up for 1:45h now Grin

2blessed · 12/10/2013 06:43

Thats super cute WL.

We're on 2nd wake up and I've brought him into bed with us. Cue lots of back slapping on DP. I've had to say "mummy says ssshhh!" And bless R he'a trying to copy the ssshhh sound whilst still rolling around the bed.

utopian99 · 12/10/2013 07:55

O is in with us too. Poor wee ill creature. Every time I settled him in the night he woke up again as soon as I put him down. He has now slept till 7.50 through which is unheard of..
My brother has volunteered to baby sit tonight but if he's still ill that might translate to just coming round for supper I think. He is lovely and really keen to get stuck in to uncle-ing but a sad and sickly ds might be a bit much!

WLmum · 12/10/2013 08:49

3 wake ups last night and some handholding for dd2 = a shattered mummy. I think it might be teeth again for T as each wake required extensive boob to settle.

I'm knitting mummy kangaroos with pouches and joeys - will fb a pic when I'm done (but don't hold your breath!)

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 12/10/2013 09:17

Teeth here too. In the end we were up 3:30-6:30. Today will involve lots of carbs!

SpookyTeacakes · 12/10/2013 12:16

Dp is so miserable all the time I'm completely fed up of it

halestone · 12/10/2013 16:05

Spotty i can relate to that, all they do is whinge! I've told DP though that he's pushing his luck and he's trying to stop doing it as much.

H is having alot of temper tantrums today i can't wait to go to work! Poor DP is going to get it all.

I always send DH out for a run when he's grumpy and he comes back much nicer.
T has had bright red cheeks and chin today. Have given her some neurofen before bed to try to stave off teething pain.

utopian99 · 13/10/2013 03:46

Hope everyone is getting good sleep. We'be had a day of ups and downs - met friends and got the keys to our new flat and then met my brother who came to stay for supper/the night.
Then while changing O noticed that despite having had a temp all day his hands and feet were icy which got me panicking about meningitis, then he was hugely and properly sick so called NHS direct who told us to take him to the out of hours doctor, where they diagnosed a proper ear infection. So I can relax a bit, but poor O is still burning up and now in our room for observation overnight.
We ended up having supper (chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie), at about 9.40...

SpookyTeacakes · 13/10/2013 07:24

Oh no utopian! Glad it's nothing more serious but poor O, ear infections are horrible Sad

I can't get ds to feed. I wouldn't say it's a nursing strike as he isn't totally refusing boob, he's latching on for a few sucks then latching off and prodding my nipple, then latching on etc etc.... I'm seriously thinking my milk has gone Sad

WLmum · 13/10/2013 08:09

Poor O utopian. Fx now its being treated he'll be better soon.
spooky T does that too sometimes. Just curious I think rather than frustration waiting for milk to flow. After a bit she stops and feeds properly.
Done in again after another shocking night. Swimming lessons and lunch guests so better give myself a kick up the backside.

2blessed · 13/10/2013 08:10

utopian great news about the flat Smile.
Sorry about O's ear infection anfd hope he perks up soon.

R slept 9-4 and is now in bed with me having a bit of mummy milk. Hope he goes back to sleep for another hour.

SpookyTeacakes · 13/10/2013 08:18

Well after he'd finished messing around he just put his thumb in Hmm so frustrating I'm not ready to stop yet.

Sorry for the bad night is it teeth?

utopian99 · 13/10/2013 08:46

Sorry for the sleep WL, hope if teeth they come through soon.

I am pinned to the bed by my arm which he has been asleep on since 6. Hmm Temp seems a bit better though and assume he needs the sleep so keen to let him, as he was so obviously not well last night. Have antibiotics so hopefully improvement from here..

itsMYNutella · 13/10/2013 12:39

Morning ladies.
Utopian sorry about the ear infection! We are battling off the nasty cold that has been going around. DS still has a cough, but it's horrible when they're ill and you can't explain to them why the feel like crap.

WL poo to bad sleep! I'm slowly giving up BF but still feed DS at night. When the milk runs out my plan is to offer him water and hope he starts sleeping through longer.

I was cutting my toenails this morning and DP was watching formula 1 DS who was crawling on me. Then DS fell and cut his hand on the scissors ShockShockShock I felt soooo bad!!! When he stopped bleeding we could see a tiny pin prick so we relaxed a bit and DP checked his vaccination record to make sure he has had a tetanus jab. But it was really horrible to see him hurt Sadpoor baby!

halestone · 13/10/2013 14:02

Hope O is better soon UtopianThanks

WL i hope you get some sleep today.

Nutella i bet DS forgets about it quicker than you do, i think we feel guilt for ages.

My DP has been a star again today he told me to have a sleep in as i'm not well. I felt guilty though and went downstairs but he sent me back to bed! I'm going to be gutted when he goes to work at 3 though i won't see him till tuesday. Hoping H is easier than normal to look after.

WLmum · 13/10/2013 19:59

That's nice hales hope you feel better soon. We've had a nice day but in going to skip my usual swim as I'm exhausted and suspect another bad night to come. I'm assuming teeth as she's been a bit red of cheek and chin, chewy and off her food - except boob of course.

My neighbour has put her house on the market and didn't mention it to us - poor form? I'm not bothered really just a bit surprised. Hope we get nice new people.

WLmum · 13/10/2013 20:06

Dh has been crowing all day as this morning on bed T rolled over and said a passable 'dad'! I'm sure it was just as she came up short of her now (last couple of days) dadadada but it sure made his day.

2blessed · 14/10/2013 05:22

Well done T. How did she sleep tonight WL?

2nd wake up with R, he has a high temp (38.6) so we've co-slept. Will take him to the doctors later. Teeth perhaps?

SpookyTeacakes · 14/10/2013 06:52

2blessed high temp is teeth fever is infection. I would say that's borderline and as long as it's going down with calpol and doesn't go much higher I would assume teeth.

WL that's so sweet Smile

SpookyTeacakes · 14/10/2013 07:27

Dd is walking around in her witch's hat and magic wand saying she's a mechanic. I think she means magician Grin

2blessed · 14/10/2013 08:26

Sooo sweet spotty.
Thanks, I'm sure (and hope) its teeth but temp is creeping up again. Got an appt in an hour so fx.

Was supposed to start settling in at nursery today...

WLmum · 14/10/2013 09:59

spooky that's funny. Grin
Last night a bit better with wakes (and feeds) at 12,5 and 6.
DH and I are really feeling it now so I'm going to start gently trying to improve things. DH is all for cc but I think that's cruel if she might be in pain. Nurofen and minimal boob at first wake as a first step.

2blessed · 14/10/2013 10:28

You've got to do what's right for your family WL, hope it goes well.

R has a viral infection. His tonsils and 1 ear slightly inflamed. Poor babs. Calpol, fluids and lots of cuddles.

SpookyTeacakes · 14/10/2013 10:39

Oh no 2blessed. Dd gets viral infections. I think unfortunately some children are prone to them and it hits her every time she gets a bit run down. She's had a fever twice in the past month. Hope he feels better soon. Ime it takes about three days
