I love some of the funny words they come out with! Although I was very glad W got the hang of pronouncing 'can't' quite quickly for a few days it sounded like something a lot ruder! Noticed today that some of his 'babyish' words are just him being lazy though, he said his friends name perfectly and then went back to his 'original' name for her.

Glad you are loving the house mrsH makes up for the horrors of packing and unpacking doesn't it!

No back 'proper' molars here yet I'm waiting for that one to hit us soon. I think we're a way off of potty training too (his nursery key worker agrees which means I've stopped second guessing myself on the issue too) he wants pants but just can't tell me when he needs to go. He understands when I tell him he needs to he just can't tell yet so we'll hold off for a while.

CallingAllEngels · 17/01/2014 07:32

M randomly shouts "fucker" every few weeks (we can thank dh for that!)

TallulahPumpkin · 19/01/2014 14:15

Got to share this with you ladies....

This morning, as we were having a lazy Sunday morning in bed, Seb gave me a kiss and said "I love you'! Twice!

I did ask him later if he loved me and he said no (usual response!) lol. I was beginning to wonder when it would happen, before this we've only had 'I love carrots', 'I love potatoes' and 'I love cheese' Grin.

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 19/01/2014 21:20

Aww Grin

Me and S say to each other 'love you to the moon and back (and she continues) and all the twinkly stars!'

Melts my heart every time Smile

Aw those ways of saying I love you are so sweet! A doesn't say that but is big on cuddles right now.

I was wondering if any of you were still doing swimming with your toddlers? A did them as a baby, but stopped last year. It's not as easy to take him now but I want to re-enroll him at the point they start learning properly or learning real skills but not sure when that is if anyone has any advice?

strawberrypenguin · 25/01/2014 10:26

We haven't been swimming for ages pen W hates it. I don't think it's the water because he loves the bath. I think it's the noise he seems quite sensitive to loud noises.

MrsHende · 26/01/2014 11:35

Ladies, please cross everything for me, BFP this morning! Let's hope this one is a sticky one.

Hope everyone is well. We are planning on building an ark soon - anyone else totally hacked off with the rain?

strawberrypenguin · 26/01/2014 14:13

Yay MrsH fx here for you Grin

CallingAllEngels · 26/01/2014 15:34

YAY! Great news mrsh ! Fx for you. I finally got all clear 2 weeks ago from hospital but we are holding off ttc for this month as I really want to make best friend's wedding in early October (over in UK so have to be able to travel).

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 27/01/2014 21:18

TallulahPumpkin · 30/01/2014 13:55

MrsH Fingers crossed for you....

Engles Yay.

ipswichwitch · 31/01/2014 09:52

Fab news mrsH and two
Hope all goes well engels

Can't believe D is 7 weeks already. N is a fab big brother - wants to cuddle him, kisses him, tries sharing his toys and he's very protective. Both boys got conjunctivitis thus week and although D isn't bothered about his eye drops, N gets upset on his behalf and gives me a smack and telling off then rubs D on the head and says "all better!" Grin
Christmas was lovely just the 4 of us and N had a great time. D has gone from 7lb 13 to 12lb 5 on Monday, proper fatty!!

strawberrypenguin · 31/01/2014 20:10

Fab big brothering from N ips very cute Smile glad he's taken to D so well.

Had an email from W's nursery yesterday saying one of the kids has been diagnosed with scarlet fever so crossing fingers here that W manages to avoid it!
Went to pick him up yesterday and found him cuddling the leg of his 'best friends' mum! While his friend hugged him - funny little thing that he is. He really loves this little girl and she loves him back its so cute, I had no idea they could make friendships like that so young the pair of them are usually inseparable all day!

TallulahPumpkin · 02/02/2014 14:29

Ips Aw, N sounds like an amazing big brother.

Straw Hope W doesn't get it. Their little friendships are so cute aren't they?

We went pre-holiday shopping to Clark's Outlet Village yesterday. Added it all up when we got back and we managed to spent over £300. Oops. Need to go on a major belt-tightening when we get back. Still, I was very pleased with the 3-in-1 coat (fleece, waterproof or both) I got for Seb; £60 down to £20! No doubt will also come in handy for when we go to the Lake District in August as well! We also got some cute little canvas shoes with diggers on, so they went down well with Seb.

He's majorly into Lightening McQueen at the moment and is currently watching 'Cars' for the fourth time in about a week. It would be more if he had the choice. Grin.

CallingAllEngels · 03/02/2014 08:05

Tallulah, M's film of choice is bambi though dumbo, thomas the tank engine and scooby doo are close runners up!

today I am going to sort out the bags of clothes we've been given and the boxes of too small clothes waiting to go up in the loft. People keep giving me stuff and I have nowhere to put it all!

CheshireDing · 06/02/2014 01:16

I love the funny things they are all saying Grin

P told DH he was ridiculous the other week and she said to me "you did good wee wee on the toilet Mummy, you want sticker?" [Smile] another favourite is "oh for goodness sake" and she shouted at the dog that it was dangerous to go up the stairs on his own - poor guy was half way up at the time so stood there all confused.

Very pleased for you mrsh and fx for you too Engels hope DH is feeling good at the moment

How are you feeling killa ?

CheshireDing · 06/02/2014 01:17

tall where are you going on holiday?

TallulahPumpkin · 06/02/2014 20:52

Chesh lol, how funny. Did you get a sticker? Poor dog.

We're off to New Zealand for a wedding, via Hong Kong! Can't wait. In 3 weeks we'll be about to pick up our campervan in Auckland. Let's hope Seb behaves himself!

strawberrypenguin · 07/02/2014 17:25

Grin chesh very cute with the sticker. W tells the cat off randomly too and finds it hilarious when she attacks the fish tank.

Has anyone else's little ones started asking 'why?' W is doing it all the time now. I tell him something or ask him to do something and I get 'why?' and it goes on for ages!

PenelopeLane · 07/02/2014 20:57

Have fun in NZ Tallulah, it's a great country . I hope the weather improves though, we aren't having much of a summer in Wellington. Boo! It's misty and damp here today. We were supposed to go camping this weekend, so glad we decided not to or else I'd be so disappointed.

Congrats MrsH! And best of luck TTC engels!

I know what you mean strawb about loud noises in the pool being scary, it's certainly a different environment there. I keep meaning to take baby L but can't remember the guidelines about when to take them, does anyone else know? Weird what you forget second time around ..

I've started a blog/project based on a hilarious book on parenting from 1945 and have just been accepted into the MN bloggers network if you're interested modernmothercraft.blogspot.com It's a project I started to stop my mind turning to complete mush while at home with the kidlets

PenelopeLane · 07/02/2014 20:59

Oh and Chesh am impressed P is toilet trained! We're not having much luck here am afraid on that front

CallingAllEngels · 08/02/2014 08:26

Love the blog pen .

Have a great holiday tallulah .

Miserable grey day here. In fact, it's been horrible for the last few days. M hasn't been able to play outside since Wednesday. Going a bit stir crazy here, may take him out in his wellies to get wet later!

no progress her with toilet training either and M still sleeping with us every night from 12/1 onwards

M hasn't progressed to why yet strawb . Everything is still no, though when you ask him what he said he then either says yes or repeats, what did you say?

Dh doing a bit better thanks chesh. I've had a rough few weeks. I HATE January and am so glad it's over. Planning a belated birthday party for March to myself up!

KillashandraRee · 11/02/2014 11:42

Strawberry we have why....lots and lots and lots of why...

Pen will read blog when E has nap, well done for writing anything with two I'm very impressed Grin

Cheshire how're you getting on? Is M sleeping?

Ipswitch are you coping with two? I'm panicking slightly please can you all lie tell me it's easy!

I've been AWOL as E had horrid cough and cold and then I've had it so just knackered. Otherwise all fairly quiet this end bump is huge and I'm only six months...no idea how big I'm going to end up its scary.

MrsH everything ok? Fingers are still crossed here xx

KillashandraRee · 11/02/2014 11:44

Engels we have no luck with potty training either. Nursery wanted to start him, if planned to wait til mat leave. Nursery are putting him on potty but I'm rubbish at doing it at home. I'm hoping he'll learn from them and I'll get away with not doing anything Wink
