Shock

Although I shouldn't be too shocked, the other day A ran off before I'd managed to wipe up a poo and managed to sit on the carpet in about 3 different places before I caught him, so had lots to clean up

CallingAllEngels · 14/12/2013 07:49

I am so thankful we don't have carpets!

ipswichwitch · 14/12/2013 20:25

Our baby boy arrived yesterday morning! Weighing 7lb13 after a 10 hour labour we're already home and doing fine (just very tired!)

ArtemisiaofCaria · 14/12/2013 20:29

Congrats ips :)

CallingAllEngels · 14/12/2013 21:42

Thanks congratulations ips

CheshireDing · 14/12/2013 22:02

CongratulAtions ips that sounds like hard work ! 10 hours, phew ! What's his name ? Did you buy anything for DH in the end ? Was he a Friday 13t h baby then :)

CongratulAtions duck on t he new job :) P is potty trained and using the toilet now but I wanted to ask whether they regress a bit sometimes ? She has had a few accidents this week at home and nursery - prior to this week she hadn't had an accident since the beginning of November though. I wonder whether it's new baby issues, although she does seem to love him.

There is lots of wind, vomiting, peeling on his own face and general trumping here Pene

Am impressed by the poo stories and glad they are not on my carpets :)

KillashandraRee · 14/12/2013 23:00

Aw congratulations Ips xxxxx

PenelopeLane · 15/12/2013 03:11

Congrats ips!

strawberrypenguin · 15/12/2013 08:06

Congratulations ips Thanks

ipswichwitch · 15/12/2013 09:59

Thanks :)
He's called Daniel (that took a day of debate!) - our lucky Friday 13 th baby. N is rather impressed since we got him a wee present and told him its from D so he's been wanting cuddles with him :) feeding every couple hours and I forgot how tiring this bit is - pj day today of sure!

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 15/12/2013 10:06

Congratulations ips!! Perfect timing for Christmas! Enjoy the snuggles Thanks

Cheshire, from what I remember they can regress after a few months. I think the novelty wears off after a bit and so it's not front of their mind to be going all the time. Could be with baby too, it's a big adjustment but she looks like she's taking to it well!

PJ month that should read surely ips ! (and D is on our list of names for #2!)

ipswichwitch · 15/12/2013 10:23

Pj month.... now I like the sound of that (should be the law frankly!)

CallingAllEngels · 15/12/2013 10:24

think we really need to start potty training after the Friday ripping of nappy and oulling poo out of romper incident.

Any tips?

Have just bought some pull ups. Need to get some pants and vests rtaher than rompers now I think.

We have a potty upstairs and downstairs by toilet and DS already pulls down trousers and sits on it (then "wipes" his bum with toilet paper).

Stickers?

I feel lost!

Big bed is going okay. Wew have changed our tactics at bedtime, instead of just leaving him in room awake (whihc we alsways used to do) we are lying down with himwith light off and he's asleep within 10 mins.

But he's still waking up every single night and coming into our bed. The last two nights neither of us have heard him come in, just woken up with an extra body between us. I have to get through this week at school before I can think about putting him back (it killed me last time).

He did fall out of bed at about 9pm last night though and then carried on sleeping on the floor!

strawberrypenguin · 15/12/2013 10:37

Lovely name ips glad N has taken to him well.

No idea on potty training eng leaving it till the new year here! Watching with interest though!

KillashandraRee · 15/12/2013 18:14

Lovely name Ipswitch :)

We're not going to think about potty training until it gets warm unless he shows a real interest, I've been told by so many mums of boys that it's 2.5-3 that they get it so may wait til I'm on maternity leave and try and crack it before the next one arrives. my plan is to learn from all of you and then try Wink

KillashandraRee · 15/12/2013 18:17

Engels we've moved E into bug bed too but so far it's been a success, he only gets up when the alarm goes off. I'm not sure how long it will last for I think it might've the novelty. It's either that or the threat of returning to the cot which I have left up in the spare room ready for if he gets out of bed (tip from a friend).

KillashandraRee · 15/12/2013 18:18

Big obviously....Blush

CallingAllEngels · 15/12/2013 18:38

M is also nat napping durin b tha day anymore (he does 2 days at nursery but since poogate on Friday I'm relyctant to try it).

Still waiting with frustration to ttc. AF came back 2 weeks ago but HCG still above 0 on Friday so hospital said we have to wait Sad

CallingAllEngels · 15/12/2013 18:39

Not napping that should say (fat fingers)

KillashandraRee · 15/12/2013 19:33

Engels did they say how long for or why your levels have taken so long to go down? So frustrating waiting Hmm

CallingAllEngels · 15/12/2013 19:37

No obvious reason killa - had 3 scans and they couldn't see anything (so no ERPC). So nearly at 0 but not quite. Annoying given that AF is back and I am oving right now!

KillashandraRee · 15/12/2013 20:25

Really annoying. When do you get checked again? Will it be after Christmas now?

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 15/12/2013 22:37

That is annoying Engels. I thought you would be well ok the way to ttc now. Fingers crossed you get the results you want soon Thanks

I've got S in with me tonight. She's loaded with the cold and has a really chesty cough. Her temps been up and down all of yesterday and today so keeping a close eye on her. Neighbours little boy came down with the pox a few weeks back and S was with him few days before he broke out so I'm praying that she doesn't get it and I'm hoping this isn't the start Sad. He's had it bad though. It breaks my heart to see kids unwell Sad

M and A must have been swapping notes about getting into bed at night with the parentals as it's a problem here too!

Daniel is a lovely name Smile

I had a Angry moment this morning - was pushing giant double buggy to take A to nursery, late. The sun came out about 2 mins before we arrived in creche and I didn't have time to put up sunshade (as was stopping in a minute anyway and had been walking in different direction previously so she wasn't in the light at all). As was walking across road to nursery a woman yelled at me, from her car that was waiting at the lights, that my baby's face was in the sun and I needed to do something about it. Hmph
