I'd really like a baby that sleeps well after 4am. Shame I don't have one.

beans37 · 27/09/2013 07:43

Oh Artiiii, are you on your knees? What a horror. Is he just wide awake or is he crying?

I went to bed at 10 and only had to feed 3 times in the night, which is a lot better than any previous attempts. I wonder if it's slightly because I'm so tired I don't actually hear all the pre-crying noises!

But I feel a lot more human this morning. Even had a giggle at 7am with DH as DD3 filled her pants spectacularly loudly. Nice wake up call!

Arrtttiiieee · 27/09/2013 08:31

He cries if I leve him in the cot. He will go back to sleep 'til 6ish but only with the boob in his mouth for the whole time (not just a matter of feeding and putting him back). I try feeding him lying down but I am so uncomfortable like that so never sleep. Today I decided I could not keep being a human dummy every early morning so I made him get up properly and I played with him instead if feeding. He was fine with that so clearly wasn't hungry. If he isn't hungry why is he bloody waking up at that hour???????

Glad you had a better night Beans. Also glad that DD3 is a champion pooer like her mum.

Arrtttiiieee · 27/09/2013 08:34

I've had 3 coffees already and my hands are shaking.

I just remembered I wanted to reply to Ladt re half term. Lets meet! We have the same half term (last week of Oct) and DH is away the whole time. I'm panicking as all local friends will be away too. So ladies I am willing to drive to anywhere within an hour of London. Who is up for a meet?

JamInMyWellies · 27/09/2013 09:24

Yes me! DH starts a new job that wk (still a bit hush shush) so our planned afternoons out all together are not happening. We are free on the Mon, Tues or Fri.

Nolda · 27/09/2013 10:04

We have half term last week of Oct too. Would love to meet up with DCs if near a station (I'm not driving, no, I am a wimp, yes).

Nolda · 27/09/2013 10:09

Arti, sorry about the lack of sleep. It sounds horrendous.

Honsandrevels · 27/09/2013 12:14

We're going to be in London for 2 days at half term. The 28th and a day either side but we've not sorted it yet. I've a hospital appointment so we thought we'd take the girls. They've read Topsy and Tim go to London so have their hearts set on stuff like the Natural History Museum!

Is that too central for you lot? My grasp of London geography is weak!

Indith · 27/09/2013 16:35

Just condoms, hormones and me don't mix. Dh is going to go back to the Dr and make them slice his bits off or whatever it is they do or I'll do it for him with a couple of bricks. No risks that I'm aware of. Dh gone out to the supermarket so has been told to come back with multiple piss sticks. Crapping myself. I half convinced myself that once I had voiced the fear on here I'd come on but no.

Nights finished for the week. Woohoo! No work until Thursday night. Apart from the half million uni assignments I have to do, the writing up of everything I've done this week, the actual learning of all the stuff I have attempted to shove into my head while we've been working and my mentor has said "look that up" "have a look at those guidelines" etc. The reflective accounts of a couple of the deliveries.

Vag how on earth did you manage to do 6 out of 7 nights? Crazy!

Arti I hope he grows out of that phase soon! My Arthur baby was like that, it did pass eventually. I used to stick him on the boob tbh then once it got towards 6am chuck him at dh to deal with! At some point he started going back to sleep ok. Mind you then it all went crazy and he is still shite so what do I know about sleep?

Beans glad you had a better night, fingers crossed for more of the same.

I'm not sure school is good for dd. My dinosaur mad daughter now wants Hello Kitty stuff for Christmas. Tough luck girly I've already done your shopping! She will have to be satisfied with a couple of bits and bobs of stationary in her stocking. She wants a Hello Kitty top, Hello Kitty trousers and a Hello Kitty bible. Yup, a Hello Kitty bible. Not sure even Father Christmas can produce one of those!

LadyT I shall be checking on your pis stick results this weekend!

ShadyLadyT · 27/09/2013 17:23

Yaaaay, it sounds like the Monday might be a goer then! Woohoop! And possible with a bona fide Person or Persons of the North!

I will be there with the only proviso that DP is practically begging me to have a holiday and if he is serious and wants to go in half term, I may be elsewhere.

Great Scott, Indith! If I had a spare test I'd send you one!

No AF...more cramps in the night. A test will be done in the morn. If it's negative again, given that I think that it will be day 13 or 14 after ovulation, wot then?

Right, need to read back. DD2 is 3 on Sunday Smile

ShadyLadyT · 27/09/2013 17:26

Cross posted with you Indith! Snakes alive! Maybe the nights have mucked your body up a bit? Errr....bon chance. And yes, I'll be posting after first wee of the day Grin

ShadyLadyT · 27/09/2013 17:30

I would pay cold hard currency just to see a Hello Kitty bible Grin It's funny Indith, cos my very very girly, just-so little DD1 is picking up a lot of rough and tumble boys-y ways so I think it cuts both ways.

Rubena · 27/09/2013 17:33

Am quite excited Indith, but understand if you are wanting a certain result. Hope it works out the way you want it - keep us posted Smile

Half term week am free (I think) from the Tues onwards, Tues being the best - would love to see everyone it's long overdue!

Just gave ds a choice for dinner (he'd already turned down pizza in favour of an apple) and said he wanted none of my choices (salmon, pizza, chicken pasta bake) and declared he would tell me what he wanted. His choice - some peas, carrots and sweet corn Hmm I delivered, he ate the lot and suggested he have that every night - odd child. Meanwhile I'm trying to convince dd that the mash I served up for her is orange as certain potatoes are orange (not carrot) and she finally finished and it now tucking into some Vanilla Carte D'Or telling me she wants "none of that orange potato again" and only ice cream as she "loves it so much" (normal child!)

Ok she obviously knows her limits and said she thinks the dog can have the rest of her ice cream!!

Rubena · 27/09/2013 17:34

CP Lady!! I reckon you're clackered!!!

Rubena · 27/09/2013 17:35

Actually unless Deids could come down????? then Wed the best Grin

Rubena · 27/09/2013 17:36

Urgh, I meant Thurs, but really doesn't matter - just can't do the Monday.

Indith · 27/09/2013 17:42

"they only had expensive ones left so I didn't buy any" argh! bloody man.

beans37 · 27/09/2013 17:45

oh crikey Indith. what would you do if you are pregnant? that's quite scary for you. Remember we're all here for you.

have had proper screaming from DD3 for the first time. terrible wind. and a massive crap. now out cold on me. DH taken the big girls to their school disco. do I bother trying to do DD3 bath on my own?

not sure I'd be able to make a meet up. depends on DD3 really.

lady, look forward to your post in the morning. I wonder what the outcome will be. hmmmm.

on my phone so apologies for crap post x

Rubena · 27/09/2013 18:06

Indith I'd send him back out! This is major life changing!

I can confirm I'm of no help with the religious school topic, as pretty much total Atheism here, with a touch of Agnosticism (from me only) but I'd imagine it'd be ok if not totally churchy? But I don't know really as I'm clueless and I once snuck out of midnight mass feeling so uncomfortable (I was forced to attend as my job was live in for quite a Catholic family way back on a working holiday here)

Rubena · 27/09/2013 18:15

DH is working upstairs in his office, so I asked him to print out an address label for me for something I have to send back to work - he had the address in front of him, but accidentally typed "Virgina Atlantic" !! Crikey I nearly wet myself. That's childish isn't it.
Oh and beans I did note how your children have inherited the poo obsessed gene!!

Mckayz · 27/09/2013 18:16

The boys say Grace before dinner but I think that's pretty much all they do.

Indith, send him back out!!

Rubena · 27/09/2013 18:20

TEST Lady!

DeidreBarlow · 27/09/2013 18:35

Indith get DH back out there & TEST!!

Ladyt TEST!!

Oh my word all these babies & pgs we seem like quite a rampant bunchGrin

Can't do half term, in Plymouth with the family.

DH is out tonight! Thank goodness I'm just so tired. Can't even be bothered to talk to him. Can't say I'm looking forward to his drunken ramblings when he gets home though. I've spent most of my child free day cleaning, washing & ironing! Oh the glamour of it all....

OP posts:
beans37 · 27/09/2013 18:49

I'm not rampant, Deids. Not for some time anyway!

ShadyLadyT · 27/09/2013 20:12

I ain't testing until the morning Grin Am expecting a neg, not sure why.

Rubes, I'd have cackled at that.

Blimey Indith - do you really think you could be?

Hope you have much better nights, dear Beans and Arti.
