Kyz · 01/09/2013 11:12

Morning all, Got lots to catch up on but sister and nephews are here so doubt I'll be about for another couple of days!

Hope all is well?

GTbaby · 01/09/2013 11:32

YW. With lo I had very sore boobs. Very obvious implantation pains.
With bump now I had NOTHING. I was convinced my test would be negative. Wink

Donna they have all started mat leave so getting chatty. It was quite easy to keep up at first. Now I just skim. The thread has had it's first baby already! Which panicked us all into packing our bags. Lol

I still can't tell if I'm having Brixton hicks Hmm or if baby is stretching.

fruitpastilles · 01/09/2013 11:50

Roasting some carrots and parsnips for S for lunch, what can I give her with them that's quick? I forgot to do anything else haha! Not that she will eat them. They'll be thrown on the floor. She gone right off her food since yesterday.

YellowWellies · 01/09/2013 11:51

Really GT WOOOOOOO that's made me proper excited! can't wait to POAS Smile

ChasingDaisy · 01/09/2013 12:22

I cant wait for YW to pee on a stick Grin

I am bursting with hope and opportunity today. Feeling incredibly free. Have also been thinking a lot about MM today and realising how far I have come in 3 months.

Donnadoon · 01/09/2013 12:40

Absoloutely chasing, You should be very proud of yourself!

ValiumQueen · 01/09/2013 14:21

Chasing, that is great to hear. Chances are though you will have days when things feel shitty again, so try to hold onto these feelings, indeed write them down and refer back to them in your low moments. We are all very excited for you too.

Pikz · 01/09/2013 16:34

YW hurry up!!

Chasing am proper chuffed for you Grin

Sunday Wine to all. Had a lovely day with DP, nanny, bro and sil. DP apologised for being a twerp and has made it up to me. Ido understand how stressed he is but have made it clear that comments like that are not welcome.

LO on top Spider-Man form!

Kirrin · 01/09/2013 18:09

That's lovely to read chasing :) This is the start of the rest of your life :)

YW we are all waiting with baited breath. No pressure Grin

Glad DP has seen sense pikz

I am on my last full week of my training course this week. I've enjoyed it, but it will be nice to go back to full time part time if that makes sense?!

YellowWellies · 01/09/2013 18:18

It's negative! Guilt free wine tonight and feeling a little relieved to be honest - think a May baby would have been too early. But also a bit ooooh about it too. Will see how life is with Jonas and a puppy before DH is allowed near without a Mac on!!! Wink I'd like a July baby or anything after that... or maybe as late as March the next year? I'll be chuffed when it happens regardless I think.

MissMummy1 · 01/09/2013 18:37

YW Sorry/hooray-to-wine it is negative. I am finding - after the first 'OMG what have I done?!' week - that Aulay is mostly (repeat, mostly) making my life a lot easier at the moment. He amuses Matilda and that is my biggest challenge right now. Since bringing him home she is happy playing on the floor with him and isn't whinging to be held any more (quite the opposite in fact). She has also become super active. Rolling, bum shuffling, attempting crawling. These are all things she had zero interest in pre-dog.

Today, the one and only time I have thought to close the top stair gate, I left her playing in her room while I got dressed. 2 mins later I heard giggling and popped my head round the door to find her standing up, attempting to climb up the gate Shock

Have a super night chasing Smile

Okay day here. Just okay.

Lily311 · 01/09/2013 18:48

Went to see my mum and dad today and O showed off her crawling skills. It was a nice day but I feel a bit down.

chasing mega excited for you today, pls post some pictures. I'm tired, off to bed soon.

YellowWellies · 01/09/2013 19:27

MM OK is better than yesterday though eh hon?

Actually I'm a little gutted about the test as it means my belly is all me!!!! Crap I put LOTS of weight on on my hols. Envy

J has managed proper crawling today and has bashed his noggin a lot on my cousin's hardwood floor as he's attempted to crawl on occasion with both hands off the ground. Whoops! Clearly dyspraxic like his mother Grin Grin .

YellowWellies · 01/09/2013 19:31

Oh and we're on day 3 of trying trace dairy in my diet and he's miserable - tummy pain and red spots round his mouth Sad . I'm off to the paed anyway tomorrow so will see whether he suggests continuing to push it or to rechallenge in another few weeks.

applepieinthesky · 01/09/2013 19:31

yw Wine sounds good Wine I was also relieved when I got a negative a couple of weeks ago. I would like one between September next year and the following may ideally. DP has gone from 'perhaps when C is three or four' to 'I can't wait until we have another one' Hmm Grin

C deteriorated this morning and I was on the verge of driving him back to a&e. But since then he has steadily improved and even had a slice of toast at lunch time and a few spoonfuls of his dinner. I'll miss him terribly tomorrow but am pleased he'll be with my parents.

mm Keep talking to us. I know you will get there eventually even if you're not ready to take that step now. Love to you and Tilly Thanks

Donnadoon · 01/09/2013 19:36

lily sorry you're a bit down, you are entitled to some down days Wine
MM dogs are good babysitters Grin My dd chases ours round the kitchen- he loves it really!
YW You have a sooper dooper attitude to life Wine

ChasingDaisy · 01/09/2013 19:40

I have Wine in one hand and flatpack instructions in the other Confused Grin

Cheers quiche Wine

YellowWellies · 01/09/2013 19:47

Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine to you all (and thanks Donna Blush that's really sweet) Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/09/2013 20:01

stunt I'm so glad you had a better day. I really meant to say hi to you in my message yesterday but by the time I rabbited on I forgot. I remembered in the night but had left my phone downstairs and was a bit chilly to go wandering about. Anyway I was thinking of you and as I said I'm glad today was a good one for you. I hope there are lots more to come.

yw ah, enjoy your guilt free wine.

We have no wine in the cottage as was still feeling rough when u packed so wine was the last thug in my mind. I will have a celebratory Brew instead for you chasing.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/09/2013 20:08

chasing I am really excited about this step in your journey. More photos on fb please!

Grin. yw enjoy your vino.

I weighed myself this morning thinking I had put on weight. But had lost 2lb. But then concerned it was to do with where the scales were, they were on Karndean, and my scales have litte feet for when they are on carpet, but I have lost one. Do you think it would need those feet if on vinyl tile/ Karndean? Should I try n the concrete in the morning.

MM what you said about M whingeing to be held really resonated. O is terrible. This morning he whinged constantly, to be picked up, put down, food, nap, go in walky. Really. But then after lunch time nap. Different boy.

10months is tough work.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/09/2013 20:20

Oh no yw - I was so looking forward to another quiche baby! But yay to wine instead! You had me on the edge of my seat though, skim reading to the POAS bit Grin You're a braver woman than I am, to try dairy for J. The idea terrifies me currently. I can't wait to see Fs face though when she can finally have cheese - hopefully she'll love it as much as me lol.

Chasing it sounds as though you've had a great day, really pleased it's all gone so well for you. Enjoy your bubbly - you deserve every last bubble of it xx

Apple glad to hear LO is perkier, hopefully this is the upwards turn now and he'll keep getting better and better.

Eliza glad your hols are fun, celebratory cuppa sounds just as good to me!

GT oooooooh! I had braxton hicks from 18 weeks convinced myself I was going into labour whilst on call at 18 weeks but we'll try to forget about that, but it would be great if things were getting going. My spd was gone within 24 hours of having F, hopefully the same will happen for you. So is your bag totally packed now? Or "packed"? Wink

Have we heard from det today?

Busy busy day - we had the tea party I helped organise, which was a resounding success. Guest appearances from the fire brigade and a monkey grown woman playing at dressing up, so many cakes, loads of toddlers burning off lots of steam. Lots of fun, but we're all so worn out now! F was a superstar, although super grubby after trying to crawl around in the mud all afternoon. Only had to remove 2 leaves from her mouth Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 01/09/2013 20:22

Right. Also need some advice from baby wearers.

I want a wrap thing. Nothing too fancy, just a standard wrap for a not-too-wriggly baby, so I can do a basic hip carry, plus something on the front and back. What size do I need? Makes? Don't want to spend v much but I have no idea what sort of prices to expect.

StuntNun · 01/09/2013 20:32

BigPig is there a sling library near you that you could go to and try some out? I have a Tomy structures carrier which is great because it's all clips and buckles so very easy to put on but the baby can only go on your tummy. I don't like ring slings because they put pressure on one shoulder and I like to be evenly balanced. Woven wraps offer the most different carries but require a bit of origami practice. I have a Lenny Lamb woven wrap from their outlet section that cost £30 plus £10 shipping although I had a 15% discount code. I put J in a front wrap cross carry when he's sleepy as you can pull the wrap over his head to keep him snuggled in, or a rucksack with Tibetan finish for back carries. It can go under or over my coat depending on the weather. I also have a mei tai but J is a little bit too small for it at the moment. There are loads of different types so you need to work out what will suit you best. I like my woven wraps but they can be a faff to put on outside.

YellowWellies · 01/09/2013 20:56

I love my ergo - its structured, incredibly easy to put on, you don't feel their weight, can do front, back and hip carries and has a wee clippable hood to hold lolling heads should they fall asleep.... they're not cheap though but have a great resale value. Now he's more mobile J just won't stay still for me to wrap him in a stretchy wrap.
