Sorry to hear about all the teething pain, poor little spuds.

Thanks for the milk advice. Yesterday was a bit better in that he had a couple of small breastfeeds and a decent one at 4am, he's spits out the bottle though.

Ispy Ha! I love the funny things they say, I should really write them all down. Most of DS1's questions are almost impossible to answer, he's just asked me "what are people for?" and earlier this morning "I won't be able to get married when I'm batman will I?" Hopefully things will feel a bit less full on when he starts preschool?

Congratulations spotty! I hope the blocked duct clears up soon.

Yay for little C MaMa, there'll be no stopping her!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 06:13

Dd just asked dp why she has a willy in her bottom Grin

SeymoreButts · 09/08/2013 08:20

Grin DS keeps asking me willy questions in very public places. The last one was "mum, what's my willy for?"

Barbeasty · 09/08/2013 08:45

DD told me she had pretended to do a wee on the floor at nursery, because she was pretending to stand up and wee from a Willy like a boy.

No idea how true (or messy) as nursery didn't say anything.

Sleep no better last night. I could have had a lie in, because we're on holiday now, but DD woke us up at 5.29, so only half an hour achieved! 4 grumpy people packing now....

MaMaPo · 09/08/2013 09:28

Grin at all the funny comments. Kids are so great.

A packing day here too barbeasty - we're off to Berlin for a long weekend. Some friends of ours from Denmark will be there with their 2 year old. Will be fun to see how the 2 girls interact.

Will also be interesting to see how C copes with her travel cot. Only the second time she's been in it, and the last time wasn't a raging success (2 hours awake in the middle of the night).

Still, Berlin! I love Berlin. I'm going to sit by the river and drink beer and eat schnitzel.

Nothing as exciting here! Just staying with SIL in Bournemouth. But should be good.

And we are sort-of on the way. Sure we will have forgotten something, but never mind.

A will be in SIL's travel cot, for the first time so that could go either way...

halestone · 09/08/2013 10:43

Willyoy and Pidj i peel the skin off a carrot and run it under freezing cold water for H it really has seemed to help with her teething pains.

Beasty and Mama hope you have lovely holidays.

Beasty sorry your getting such poor sleep.

I'm loving reading what your children are saying its made me chuckle.

We had a great day at Chester Zoo yesterday, H was far more into than i thought she would be and fell asleep in the Bat cave haha. She didn't cry once all day and wanted to be held so she could see everything. When she saw an animal move she really concentrated on it for a while. DSD was great didn't moan about all the walking. Both of them fell asleep in the car coming home, then had tea and a bath and a play together. Then H went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at 4Grinhad another bottle n woke at 7:30 Grin. Its been ages since she slept so well and we also got to spend a couple of hours quality time with DSD.

halestone · 09/08/2013 10:58

I forgot to say Congratulations SpottyWineThanksThanksWine

MaMaPo · 09/08/2013 12:02

Hales, that sounds lovely! I've noticed that c is much more interested in animals now too - mostly pigeons and squirrels around here, haha.

Sad face for all the teething woes. C has been slowly teething for months but hasn't been in too much acute agony. I wish they'd all just pop out quickly.

Just started wearing C on my back in the ergo. She loves it!

Jealous of your trips mama and barbeasty! Hope you all have a lovely time, fx for good sleep in the travel cot!

Hales your day out sounds lovely, even better with the good sleep!

Lazy day here, took dd to messy play this morning while dh had ds. Now slobbing on the sofa while dd watches sooty and ds naps upstairs! Dh is snoring awayGrinGrin
Dd just put a plaster across my mouth and told me she is shutting me upGrinGrinGrin

lazzaroo · 09/08/2013 12:45

So baby lazza was up at 4.30 this morning. Would NOT go back to sleep! Wouldn't nap till 7.30....I was stressing that she'd only do 40mins and the rest of the day would be a write off.....she slept for 3 hours!!

I will never work these little ones out! Typically she chose to do this when Inhad to go out with dd1 and DH was in charge! He really can't see what all the fuss is about...these babies are easy Wink

Happy travels to everyone heading away.

Hope lots of little teeth start popping through soon too.

And of course that we all get some decent sleep!

(not asking too much!?)

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 15:00

So after a 1.5 hour nap this morning I've just woken DS up after 3 hours Shock (he woke as I went into the room to check on him. DD and I had over an hours nap on the sofa so she probably won't go to bed again tonight...not so bad on a Friday night though!

Beasty we went to Bournemouth this time last year and had a lovely time, very jealous.

Mama that sounds lovely, not jealous at all Wink

Hales I like the zoo I want to go to London Zoo, does anyone know if it's any good?

When I went to my mum's the other weekend DS had a very good nap in the travel cot there. It's an unfamiliar pplace and he didn't have his sleeping bag so fx your dc are the same

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 16:25

We haven't got any food so ds is having crackers and cheese for tea BlushGrin

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 17:18

Can I claim 'mumumumumummmm' as ds's first word??!! Grin

lazzaroo · 09/08/2013 17:35

Yes spotty DD says that at tea time, I interpret it as 'yum yum' Wink

utopian99 · 09/08/2013 18:38

Spotty London zoo is great! Geek architecture fact - their penguin enclosure has been put on the listed building register.. (i'm soooo street.)

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 19:08

Grin well there's my something new learnt for the day!

DS is being a nightmare at going to bed, he has been for the past few nights. I feed him and he's all sleepy, I put him down then leave the room and he screams and screams until I go back in and then he's fine and wants to play/cuddle etc I can put him back into his cot but as soon as I leave he screams again. I've just had to leave him to it because dp is out and dd is downstairs on her own. Sad

WLmum · 09/08/2013 20:11

utopian I love a geek fact and will be slipping that gem into conversation as soon as humanly possible. Must time it carefully though as dp is prone to nicking my geek facts!

That's another place on the to go to list then. Also want to check out marwell. And we 're off to peppa pig world next week. As dd1 is 6 I figure we've got quite a small window until she starts saying its babyish but for now she watches it everyday and does a rather good daddy pig impression.

hearing what your dc come out with is so amazing. It's such an eye opener as to how they view the world as well as being super cute/hilarious/mortifying! I always feel so sad when a baby word gets replaced with an actual work. Dd1 used to say panio and one day it became piano. Dd2 currently calls handstands hand tastics which I rather like.
There was lots of loud talk about my period while we were camping - people in other cubicles cannot fail to have heard!

Sounds like you're having a well deserved lovely time hales.

WLmum · 09/08/2013 20:13

mama how do her legs go on your back? Sort of round you?

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 20:16

If you go to marwell go Winchester way through the back roads much quicker than the m27. It's quite good there, definitely take a picnic or you'll go hungry!

utopian99 · 09/08/2013 20:58

I had my 7th birthday at marwell...

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2013 21:21

Stupid period Angry I was hoping it would never turn up

WLmum · 09/08/2013 22:03

Boo to periods.

Flumpy2012 · 09/08/2013 22:10

Hello all,
Can I rejoin?! Life sort of took over for a while. I'm not even sure I announced Flumpy's arrival. DD born at 12:22 on 5.12.2012 weighing 5lb6. She's just perfect, even now! Except when she doesn't go to sleep until midnight!!
I'm just about still bf, I think I'm hitting a bit of a dip where it's tough on my own again.

I hope you and bubba's are all well x

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/08/2013 22:29

Welcome back *Flumpy. Aw 5lb 6oz, is she still a tiddler or has she made up for it since she was born?

I'm sat under a sleeping DS having just dream fed him. I should put him in his cot but he smells and feels sooooo nice. I love babies Smile
