YW I shall gift you some naked wine! I think many of us on the quiche owe you a glass bottle

BigPigLittlePig · 18/07/2013 22:16

LOL at all the pussy chat Grin F loves to get hold of pussypigs fur and yank. Pussypig doesn't love this quite as much but will tolerate it if he thinks he's getting fed

Thanks for the reassurance guys, glad to know I'm not the only one who has irrational worries. I'm sure it will settle down again once things get into some sort of routine.

Must go to bed, have a 13 hour shift tomorrow Sad - longest time away from F Sad And MIL has her for the morning - she tried to feed her cake last time we were over, despite me saying I couldn't have any as it had dairy in it. Not worrying, not worrying at all Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 18/07/2013 22:17

Those of you who freak out in the car. Don't. BUT. Three days before LO was born I was driving to pick up DD1 from creche. I was literally saying to myself, out loud (am a nervous driver) ' good job you're alert pr as someone could come right round this bend and drive straight into you' .

Well as it happened I drove straight into a happy go lucky speeding BUS driver who was very much cutting the corner. Had to brake and swerve into the field next to the road to avoid the bastard. Who slowed do check I was ok. But didn't stop. 3metres ahead or behind and I was in a ditch.

Lesson learned. I will always be a nervous driver.

Not going to reassure anyone is it? Sorry.

ValiumQueen · 18/07/2013 22:21

Not caught up, but need a quick moan. J has just gone down, and threw up his entire bottle through screaming so had to give him another. DH went to bed at 8 as he was tired.

And wave to Izzy x

izzybizzybuzzybees · 18/07/2013 22:27

Yup I'm here vq. DH tried giving James a bottle around two hours ago. He only took 1oz! The wee git is hungry but holding out for me...I will not be feeding him til DH goes to bed!! The kids are going overnight to mum and dads tomorrow but if j won't take a bottle I have my doubts about letting him go :-(

izzybizzybuzzybees · 18/07/2013 22:28

Oh and in case anyone was in any doubt he's still wide a fucking awake!!!!!

ChasingDaisy · 18/07/2013 22:28

Sending love, strength and sleepy dust to VQ and izzy.

Night quiche xx

daisychain76 · 18/07/2013 22:31

Eek pr that?s scary. I have developed a real fear of being driven (l can?t drive) since being pregnant. Drives dh mad as l close my eyes, clench my fists and slam on imaginary brakes on the motorway!

Lots of illness here. Started with ds1 having sick bug, then dd and H has a viral cough (sounds like your N?s evil as he has also been given an inhaler tho we haven?t used it yet). Had to travel 2 hours each way today to get 1 book out of my uni library, so fairly frustrating week.

Good news about the tube Eliza. Can?t remember the rest but trying to keep up. ...

YellowWellies · 18/07/2013 22:34

Pussywellies is similarly attentive. He regularly comes and lounges all louche with the bear as he plays which delights j like nothing else. He also sleeps under the cot. At the first hint of tears the cat comes running and seems genuinely concerned. Given he's a track record of committed misanthropy I'm v surprised. He did raise his elderly pussy eye brows when Jonas' commando crawling resulted in startlingly fast backwards movement today. Be afraid Comrade Pusskin (yes that is his nickname Blush ). Those who can't understand the subtle affection of a cat are just needy IMHO Wink Dogs are love sick tarts Grin Grin Grin Grin . Wink

Passmethecrisps · 18/07/2013 22:36

VQ yer man has a fucking cheek. Tired? He doesn't know tired. I accept that I don't know tired. JUST FUCKING HELP! go out a walk with the wee one. You sleep on the fold down bed. Anything. At least keep your trap shut about tiredness.

And izzy Brew lots of strong Brew

Passmethecrisps · 18/07/2013 22:46

Love sick tarts! Hahaha!

We had a wonderful cat who turned up at our house when I was wee. She was the furry face if death to small mammals or birds but heartbreakingly soft towards us as children. She could give hugs if we cried (non cat people will scoff but it is true) and used to sleep on my sister's pillow meaning my sister (4 at the time) rested her head on the cat. The image of my sisters strawberry blonde ringlets draped over a sleeping Suzy cat drove me mad with jealousy!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/07/2013 22:47

My cats are real tossers. In fact, I urgently have to rename one of them. When we got him we called him Sunny. It was sunny that day. But it turned out he was psycho wild (descended fromwild cats as we have here ) and Sunny didn't suit him. But he was so wild and destroyed our flat so regularly that we called him 'petit con'. And he answers to that. Except that is translated at little fucker. Or, more literally, little cunt.

We weren't intending on having kids back then but now I have a toddler, we obviously have to rename. Any ideas? Since she's been talking we have called him Big Cat...

Passmethecrisps · 18/07/2013 22:48

Ach and daisy sorry to hear about illness. Rubbish. Get well soon family chain

Passmethecrisps · 18/07/2013 22:50

Just call him cat pR. Suzy got Suzy because my sister couldn't say pussy. I have no idea what she was called before.

I have marked down on my to do list for after P leaves home to have a cat called little cunt.

MissMummy1 · 18/07/2013 22:55

I have an irrational phobia of cats Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 18/07/2013 22:57

Do they (babies) communicate at this age with finger sucking? LO always tries to shove her fingers in my mouth. She was restless earlier so as she was drinking her bottle I sucked her fingers and she was off like a light. A coincidence? Or have I happened upon a baby training genius trick?

TheDetective · 18/07/2013 22:57

I had a susie cat! She hated me growing up. I loved her SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! In a way that only little children can love kitties Grin.

I am desperate for a cat, but know it would be silly right now. Have enough on my plate! O would adore one though! He can make do with the stupid bastarding bed jumping, bin rooting, toilet licking, nappy eating dog. :)

She's a soft shite, and loves tolerates him muchly. :) The dog is the only guaranteed way to get laughs from O!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/07/2013 22:58

Sounds weird but she seemed to love it Hmm

Kirrin · 18/07/2013 22:59

Just normal sit ups pass and no twisting too much. She didn't seem worried, it'll just mean a physio referral if it doesn't work I guess so no biggie either way.

How about something nice and sensible PR? Like Brian or Dave Grin

DD1 said our old dog's name before she said Mama! But after she said Papa. I was a bit miffed to say the least. Especially as she woke me up 3 times a night til she was 13 months and got up for the day at 5.30 til she was 18 months. The least she could have done was say Mama first Grin

Kyzordz · 18/07/2013 23:00

Thanks madame :) glad your lo is a little better

Lol pass that made me laugh! And chasing e is like that at mealtimes when he sees my doglets :)

Am sure tomorrow will be fine bplp hope your mil behaves herself!

Ooh vq I could slap your dh for that. I expect you could too!! Sending sleepy dust to you and izzy

daisy sorry to read about all the illness, hope everyone recovers soon!

How about Thomas pr? Because of big cats being Tom cats. My friend had a cat, we were about four years old and he named her Thomas. I've always wanted a Thomas cat but dp is a Thomas so my cats are not Thomas's

Night all x

YellowWellies · 18/07/2013 23:08

Apparently when babies put their hands in your mouth it's a sign of love. Because the greedy wee gannets associate food and eating with love Grin

StuntNun · 18/07/2013 23:12

I have sprained my ankle. Confused
Again. I have lost count but I think it may be the eighteenth time. I have treated it with ice, compression, elevation, ibuprofen and beer. My mum has strapped it up for me. Not a good end to my holiday.

OP posts:
daisychain76 · 18/07/2013 23:19

Thanks pass and kyz. We have 2 very soft black cats. 1 was abandoned as a kitten on an industrial estate. The other was hit by a car and broke her leg but her owners wouldn?t pay the vets fees and just dumped her with them.!They are the most lovelypusses imaginable. Think it was David Baddiel and Frank Skinner who had a cat called Chairman Miaow.

YellowWellies · 18/07/2013 23:19

Sympathies Stunt I have a gammy ankle too - have sprained it more times than I can remember and broken it once. Have medicinal Wine Wine Wine Wine

PetiteRaleuse · 18/07/2013 23:21

That's sweet yw . So I was reciprocating?

stunt that is a shit end to your holiday. Better than at the beginning though? Hope it heals quickly x
