O has inherited his dad's here, nice and thick but it is going to be a nightmare to manage as it grows!

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 20:07

Fucking hell, that is a lot of wittering about hair. Blush

Passmethecrisps · 27/06/2013 20:17

P has fuzz rather than hair. Very small amounts of fuzz. Sister is ginger, I am mouse, brother is blonde, both parents are mouse. DH is dark mouse, his mum is dark brown and dad was ginger I think. His hair is now white. And sparse.

Good job on the weight loss det. I didn't realise you could shave weight off. Must try that. Mind you, with the amount p excess body hair I now have thanks to birthing the whinging one I think I probably could shave off about 2Ib

Speaking of the whinging one I need your thoughts, ladies. P has been a full on bag of whinge for days now. It never stops. Nothing seems to pacify her. I realised today that it is like she is permenantly massively overtired. Now she is sleeping fine at night but her day naps have been tough. She fights going down (after a week of lovely peaceful settles), screaming blue murder and always wakes crying. She looks exhausted but I can't make her settle again. For the last week or so she has been scratching and tugging t her ears. Today I noticed that she is covered with a raised red rash. She has no temperature and is eating reasonably well.

Ideas?

BigPigLittlePig · 27/06/2013 20:18

det I thought that too as I lost count of the number of times you said the word "blonde" Grin

Bedtime was a fucking nightmare tonight. Initially, all was good. Asleep in 14 minutes. Then dh and dsd had a play fight Angry so she was awake again. No worries, easily settled. Until the fucking doorbell rang. Some twunty cold caller. I said "I'm busy, getting a baby to bed" and instead of nobbing off, he said something about Wimbledon, which he will in large have addressed to my retreating ass and the front door. Anyhoo. It took just under an hour all in, and the poor baba was hysterical with tiredness.

Chasing sorry you're feeling unloved Sad, really hope the house situation can be resolved pronto, it will be lovely to sort out a home for you and O.

Madam and stunt - thankyou. Stunt Will aid sounds fab, but apparently only runs in November. Am feeling the need to sort it before then. Lily I saw that lady, and she's currently charging £140 for mirror wills, which is why I wanted to check out what the going rate was. Life insurance bloke is phoning tomorrow too. I am terrified of popping my clogs or similar, and F being a destitute orphan. Or of dhs ex nabbing all my assets.

Passmethecrisps · 27/06/2013 20:18

Oh. Right. Just checked. FIL had "auburn flecks in his beard" as does DH whose beard is not '-auburn flecked' but full on ginger

BigPigLittlePig · 27/06/2013 20:20

Pass sounds like F. Sounds like teeth. If it is any consolation, she has calmed slightly in the past day. More of a constant "nyeh nyeh naaaa" than full on whinge.

Donnadoon · 27/06/2013 20:23

I would say defo teeth passGrin They really don't know what to do with themselves, lots of cuddles and let her bite anything she can

ValiumQueen · 27/06/2013 20:24

I am here, thank you for missing me PR Smile

DS is much better but still having bouts of reflux after any solids, except Soreen banana it seems Hmm He went quite batty over that, but would not sook it, he had to have it cut into tiny pea sized pieces. He ate a whole slice though Grin he had a very sore tummy after his tea of squash, pea, sweet potato and parsnip, despite eating about 2 cubes worth.

DD2 is quite a bit better. Not sure if I said on here yesterday, but she put a tictac type sweet up her nose yesterday. Thankfully her fever and snot caused a melting of said sweet. Guess what she does today? Yes, she finds one that had evaded my strip search, and placed it up the other fucking nostril. It slid out as before, and was eaten again.

It is my 8th wedding anniversary. I have a card and flowers. And a chest infection I think.

Dr appt tomorrow anyway for me and J.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/06/2013 20:25

VQ could it be that the snot-sweet was in fact an anniversary gift?!

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 20:31

Happy anniversary KingandQueenofValium Grin

Blush BP Grin

Okay, so does anyone know if Mango is a reflux trigger? O vomits each time he has had it, when he only really possets small amounts of milk at some feeds these days.

Pass Another one nodding at it and thinking teeth. About a week before O got a two teeth through. Calpol and Ibuprofen together helped best, as well as letting him grump to his hearts content and coping with the headache.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/06/2013 20:39

Can't decide which room to sleep in. Do I,

a) go to bed in the marital bed, fully expecting to be in Fs room before dh even comes to bed
b) sleep in Fs room from the go, likely triggering a night of unbroken sleep I bloody wish
c) sleep in the shed and let someone else do the sleep training?

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 20:40

C. And take the bed with you Grin.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 27/06/2013 20:40

BP same issue here. Don't have mirror wills for that precise reason. If you want, I can PM you with details of what we have in place for ideas to discuss with DH and will writer?

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 27/06/2013 20:42

(D) check into hotel Grin

Passmethecrisps · 27/06/2013 20:45

Happy anniversary VQ!

Thanks for your thoughts ladies. That has made me feel better. What about the rash? It is literally all over her body. It looks like the one on her chest which the doc referred to as eczema one week then a viral rash the next. Some of the spots have a white dot and some of them don't. There is no doubt that she has had less moisturising than normal - she has been so upset by bathtime that what is usually a full body massage has been a quick once over.

ChasingDaisy · 27/06/2013 20:48

Detective interesting about mango. My old next door neighbour's 9 month old isn't a big vommer but I have seen him be sick twice - both after mango. My O is also rarely sick and the only vom we have had recently looked and smelt like mango...

BigPigLittlePig · 27/06/2013 20:50

Madam yes please, otherwise I will bore the pants off everyone on this fred Grin

Loving option D.

TheDetective · 27/06/2013 20:56

Googled the mango - yes it is.

Bugger!

And the riper it is, the more acidic. The mango he has had (3 times) was very very ripe. I got it in the reduced section, and then kept it for 2 days before pureeing!

Kyzordz · 27/06/2013 21:02

Evening :)

pass I can't imagine us not all talking about sleep every morning, it seems tradition now. I can only hope we all say 12 hours or so each and every night! Sounds like teeth to me, my DN was similar cutting hers, e has been a bit whiny two evenings in a row now but I don't think it's teeth, just that he's a misery!

I'm not mamapo I'm sure everyone else will tell you I've been a wobbly mess with weaning, it's me that has been the problem. Eric is doing fine, even on the days or meals he point blank refuses to open his mouth, he's still fine. Have to keep telling myself he knows what he's doing :)

pr what a lovely start you had this morning!

You mean there's a choice about when they go to school? I didn't realise :/

Glad fanjo thing wasn't so bad det hope it helps :) o sounds hilarious btw, I know I've said it before but I hope to meet him and you one day! Congrats on the weight loss too

What a lovely long sleep m had fatima!!

Glad you had a nice morning stunt :)

Hair talk! I love ginger :) e isn't likely to be ginger, he looks light brown ATM. Elyza is still ginger, but my other sister was ginger and it was platinum blonde by the time she got to two, so no idea if Ely will keep her colour or not!

Glad o drank a bit more today lily sounds like she is growing well despite less than recommended amount if formula. Can you supplement with vits if she continues to drink less than she needs to?

What a pita of a bed time bplp glad she's asleep now though, I'd go with c and take the bed like detective says

Hey vq :) poor j, bless him, sounds like he did very well with the soreen :) sorry but the bit about dd2 made me laugh! Glad said sweets were not lodged up nostrils!! Happy anniversary! Look after yourself, I wish you weren't all ill, it isn't fair :(

Did not know that about the mango. Last thing e vommed was mango but then he gagged on it and I haven't been brave enough to give it again since because I'm rubbish

PetiteRaleuse · 27/06/2013 21:06

Happy anniversary vq and vk

Night all.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/06/2013 21:07

kyz you're not rubbish

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 27/06/2013 21:09

BP will do tomorrow.

Happy anniversary Vq and VK

So I got home at 5pm after v busy day at work. Ate supper with DC, bathed, milk, stories, cuddles, downstairs. Washed and sterilised bottles, put wash on, tidied up plates etc. Packed nursery bags, sorted DC's clothes for tomorrow morning. Folded and put away pile of clothes. Unloaded dishwasher, used leftovers to make mini meals for DS, tidied freezer, purged fridge of out of date stuff, decided blueberries were ok-ish, made blueberry muffins, made some apple and raspberry chunky purée (oxymoron?), emptied bins, tidied lounge, did mountain of washing up.

I just got a text from DH asking if I was enjoying having an evening to myself. I have no words.

Just come upstairs, intending to read and then to sleep. I predict one of the DC will wake just as I get comfy.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 27/06/2013 21:11

kyz do you need the quiche fish? Grin

Kyzordz · 27/06/2013 21:17

Gosh madame you've been really busy then!!! :o hope the dc's don't wake and disturb you! I meant rubbish because I daren't give mango again Blush I might get brave at some point but my brave today was a strip of pork and boiled potatoes cut into wedge type shapes. Maybe mango should be on my to do list for foods wot are scary yes I have a list of scary foods

I do think a quiche fish slap will keep me on track though, thanks!!

BigPigLittlePig · 27/06/2013 21:49

Only joking.

FC for a better night. My brain cell is turning to cotton wool with these dodgy nights. 4 sleeps til I'm back at work Confused
