Do it ecuse
Party was fab. We hired soft play for kids. Was a bar for grown ups.
Went really well.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 16/09/2013 19:18

Glad the party went well Kitty - even if I still can't believe that A is one!

Not sure that I could cope with that heat ecuse and I hate air conditioning as a rule, so think I would probably spend the whole time moaning. The hotel buffet sound fab-u-lous though. I demand pictures posting to FB asap! And yes, definitely book in the spa...

NomDeClavier · 16/09/2013 19:48

Kids party with a bar....that I can get behind!

Heat is just so exhausting, isn't it? I feel infinitely more energised this time even with rain. I think I used to just go to the gym for the air conditioning, although it kept me bloody for. Am beginning to really notice a loss of flexibility and general fitness already and still 3 months to go!

NomDeClavier · 18/09/2013 11:15

Feel really bloody awful today :(

Was going to try and take DS to the library bit all I feel fit for is lying on the sofa and letting him pootle. Supposed to have a play date later which is basically going to be me dragging us over there and sitting on her sofa to feel terrible.

Kittycatcat · 18/09/2013 12:23

Big hugs nom. Have a lazy day. It won't do u both any harm.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/09/2013 15:55

{{Nom}} I'll send some energy vibes your way. It's exhausting looking after a toddler when pg.

Ds3 seems to like hitting and throwing things at the moment - oh joy Hmm

I seem to have managed to piss my child free time completely up the wall today, I have been looking into and comparing insurance quotes. So dull! I've got so bamboozled by it all that I've gone to a broker. Why didn't I make that decision hours ago???

Day one of potty training, come drink tea and keep eagle eyes on ds3 with me.

Going well so far. I think he's taken to it quicker than ds2 and I have a bit more of a clue this time!

It's v dull being housebound though ........

OP posts:
YoniHuman · 20/09/2013 01:34

Hope day one went well ILike.
DD refuses to go anywhere near her potty. Unless she changes her mind I think I will probably just aim to get her using the toilet trainer seat sometime next spring. It worked well for DS and for those slatterns amongst us involves no cleaning up of 'potty poo'. ??

Kittycatcat · 20/09/2013 08:44

That's what we did with s yoni.

YoniHuman · 23/09/2013 20:44

How's the potty training going iLike?

GreenFirefly · 23/09/2013 22:32

Just returning to 'Threads I'm On'.
Not much of note here really. Baby A is still gaining lots of weight and I've got a big pile of newborn size clothes to ebay/pass on to friends/charity shop.
Got 6 week check on Thursday - my scar has healed much better than last time, just a couple of tiny patches to dry up now. Thanks everyone for your advice :)

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/09/2013 20:49

Potty training is going surprisingly well. Ds3 has really taken to it and accidents have been few and far between. This is a very different story to ds2! Right from the off he has had bladder control, which has really surprised me.

On the other side of the coin his sleep has gone a bit wonky. Lunchtime nap is okish, but night time is a bit of a nightmare. He's saying he's afraid of the dark, so we now have a night light. I'm not really surprised that something has gone pear shaped. In the past two weeks he's lost his brother to school, started preschool and potty trained.

Ds2's sleep has gone a bit awry to Hmm, mostly starting school related I guess. He's enjoying it there, but I think some worries are manifesting themselves during the night. Needless to say I have black circles under my eyes!

Oh, and ds3 came crashing into our bedroom this morning. He had pulled a chair next to his cot, taken off his grobag and climbed over the bars of his cot onto the chair. The chair has been moved to the other side of his room!

Yay for A gaining lots of weight. Well done both of you Smile. The weeks just whizz by don't they?

Where is everyone? Come back to the thread. I haven't seen Fizz and Ali for yonks.

I'm here, Ilike, have been lurking somewhat whilst adjusting to school myself! Term settling into rhythm now, I have some nice pupils and it's good to be back. S has moved up a room at nursery, prepreschool I guess, and is loving it and sleeping very well for him, touch wood, haven't seen pre6am for a while, thank goodness. It's so sweet, he has a named drawer and everything, and keeps telling us he's a Good Helper. Aw, so grown up! Nowhere near potty training yet, though his keyworker is going to start asking if he wants to sit on the potty when his trained friends are to get the idea planted in his head. The positive side of peer pressure!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/09/2013 21:30

Hi daisy Grin

Yay for not seeing pre 6am, result! I love that S calls himself a good helper, that's so sweet! I love it when they become more vocal, ds comes out with new words and expressions everyday - plus it's not just me who understands it now!

Hello, I'm still here!

Glad to hear tiddlers & toddlers are doing well.

I'm back into the school groove too, things seem oddly calm at the moment. I'm sure it won't last!

F's sleep is better because he'a exhausted by cm! although he's struggling without a nap at times, and then if he does nap he can't drop off easily in the evening.

YoniHuman · 25/09/2013 00:21

Ali is around, earlier today i spotted her on Honeydragons Robert Webb thread here I love the thread title. Grin

Kittycatcat · 25/09/2013 07:16

Hi all
I'm here. S still cries when I drop him at pre school but he only goes one morning a week so it's going to take longer to settle him. Bless him. Last week they tried to distract him and out bear away to encourage him to interact, needless to say all that happened was he cried a lot more. I called that afternoon and explained how attached he is and it will be longer with him before they can take him away.

Great re baby A. She is doing so well. And yay re your scar green.

Hope you get unbroken sleep soon ilike, but whoop re toilet training.

S had a number two accident at dmil's mon, she had to stand him in the bath and shower him down. Oops. He had been playing in the garden and didn't leave enough time to get to the toilet.

My lovely office manager who covers my non work days leaves tomorrow so I'm training a temp later in covering those two days while they look for a two day receptionist. I strongly dislike training.

NomDeClavier · 25/09/2013 07:56

I'm still here. Potty training is still fairly disastrous. M doesn't have a clue when he needs to go it seems, or he's just far too absorbed in what he's doing to be bothered to move.... And nursery won't let him out of nappies until hrs reliably trained!

3 months to go for me. Seems aaaaages but I've finally made it to the third trimester.

Kittycatcat · 25/09/2013 17:42

And for the festive among us... 3 months til christmasGrin

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/09/2013 18:20

I heart the festive season and Nom may well have a newborn on the big day Grin

How did the training go Kitty? I used to get lumbered with training at my old place a lot. I loved working with the trainees - most of them were young so were a lot of fun. But the actual training used to get in the way of socialising! Grin

I totally don't get the Robert Webb thing Confused

I had to shower ds3 down this afternoon after his nap. I forgot to put a nappy on him when he went down for his nap. He then woke up and poo'd in his Grobag. What an idiot I am.

I feel your pain with potty training Nom, ds2 was just like that and like you I was quite pregnant. I was exhausted and exasperated in equal measure.

I have been going bonkers selling things on eBay and FB selling pages this week. We just have so much stuff. Unused toys, furniture, equipment and clothes. It is lovely seeing it go Grin

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 26/09/2013 21:04

I also heart the festive season! Any thoughts yet on what we're all buying for our toddlers, or is it too early for most sane people to have thought about it?

Hooray for the third semester Nom. I'm 18 weeks now and the bump is beginning to sprout. Don't think it'll be long before I send DH up into the loft to hunt down my maternity trousers!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/09/2013 07:29

I've been thinking about it too 20thC but haven't actually come to any conclusion! The boys are going to have one present and a stocking each, I am determined to keep the tat and toy level down! Maybe Playmobil? Ds3 loves playing with his big brothers stuff.

18 weeks already?! Nearly half way Grin Are you going to find out the sex?

We're off to a Macmillan coffe morning today, then ds3 is off to his Granny's this arvo. I think I'll take ds2 out for dinner, just him and me, as a treat. We don't get much time together just us two.

Kittycatcat · 27/09/2013 07:58

That's coming round quickly twentieth. How are you feeling?

Christmas. No clue with S. But I want to get A the cow wheelie bug. S has the bumble bee so once A is on the move they can race. Grin

We got A the v tech fun discovery tree house for his bd. lots of £ but well worth it. They both love it and play in it every day.

Kittycatcat · 27/09/2013 07:58

Oh and A has his injections this morning. Hmm

Kittycatcat · 30/09/2013 12:59

A took his first step yesterdaySmile
