Domperidone can take from 48 hrs to 2 weeks to work, so don't worry if effect not immediate. Also dosage can be increased so I was started on 10mg x3 per day and ended up on 20mg x 4 per day. Of course it gave me hives but this was a 1:10,000 side effect. Trust me! It did work though. Fx for you.

Ok found other photos! Plonko you look so young! Very cute baby and giraffe!

Eigmum · 16/07/2013 08:04

Mini soyo! What a charmer! I love the "butter wouldn't melt in my mouth look!" and can see mini pud as well, great kick on him, too fast for the camera already!

Is mini worse up or mini stormy or mini vj? Can't click on names in same way!

worsestershiresauce · 16/07/2013 08:09

Hives pud? Grim. The things mums have to go through.... I hope mini-pud was appropriately appreciative.

Mini-worse it would appear has decided to have a lie in, and I'm of the view I'll let her. What with all the milk refusing that is going on I'm working on the basis that if she wakes herself up in her own time she might actually be hungry when she does so. Fingers crossed. The whole screaming with outrage at the mere thought of one's lunch can be a little wearing. Something we probably all ought to get used to though if the stories I hear about toddlers are anything to go by Grin

Another scorcher of a day here in the SE. I got up at 5am for a swim, so no doubt will be wanting my lunch in half an hour of so. I will set the worselet a good example by not making a song and dance about it when I do.

Wishing you all a happy, smiley un-sweaty day.

vjhist85 · 16/07/2013 08:21

There is a pic up of mini-vj, not sure why I can't be clicked on, I'll try to work it out later.

Mini-vj almost slept through last night. In the sense that she didn't need a feed until 6.30 (was starting to suspect the middle of the night feed was habit) although she did need a dummy return at 4ish. Step in the right direction though!

No idea what we're going to do today, we just can't handle being outside and there's only so much of the local shopping centre I can handle!

StormyBrid · 16/07/2013 08:44

Ta for the reminder, Eig, will upload a photo when Fartypants has gone for a nap.

I'm drenched in sweat and it's not even nine am yet. Also disgustingly full of cold, for the first time since pre pregnancy. DD is pretty snotty too, though it doesn't seem too bothered by it.

StormyBrid · 16/07/2013 08:45

she doesn't seem to bothered. Not sure what happened there!

StormyBrid · 16/07/2013 09:11

Right, photo uploaded, and baby sleeping despite the builders making a racket out the back. Now to investigate everyone else's photos!

vj you need to make sure your profile's set to be viewable by everyone, as opposed to private.

plonko · 16/07/2013 09:18

Aw Stormy she's lovely! What a cheeky wee face.

Eig yes I've been treated like teen mum (not particularly nice), asked if I'm going to leave it awhile before the next baby and IDed buying beer with the baby in the shopping trolley. Luckily I'm not easily offended!

Worse a 5am swim sounds glorious.

Vj sounds like a good night - long may it continue.

Today is going to be spent putting the finishing touches to DS's room. It looks awesome and very cute, I've been drawing pictures to hang up. However it's probably not going to get used for awhile as I'm just not ready to move him...

Eigmum · 16/07/2013 09:19

Loving the headphones and the smile stormy !

vjhist85 · 16/07/2013 09:37

Ok think I'm clickable now, let me know!

SoYo · 16/07/2013 09:48

Morning all,

Definitely a better night here. I did fail at 8pm bedtime (she just wasn't tired) but gave in & got her up as she hadn't seen her Daddy in 5 days & he got in just before 9. Tried again at 9.30 & got her down at 10.15 with a transfer from DH. She woke up at 1.45 & 4.55 for feeds then 7.30 into bed with me for snuggles until 9.

VJ & Stormy, very cute pics. I'm loving miniVJs outfit and mini-Stormys headphones!

ecofreckle · 16/07/2013 13:35

Hello all. Back from Kent now, and finding Norfolk no cooler. Surprise meet up with sister on beach this afternoon so best dash but wanted to say: stormy your daughter's name is lovely. Cute pic. And vj you have a poppet too. We're struggling with feeds too. She's too lethargic it seems. Glad you had a normal sounding night soyo. Worse we own a yurt....spooky you mentioned that! It lives in weald not far from you probably. And, I just posted photo of memento sister made for nursery. Can't wait to get old phone back. This one drives me crazy! Xxxxx

ecofreckle · 16/07/2013 13:36

NOt sure who those kisses were for!

SoYo · 16/07/2013 13:42

Right, for once we've got nothing planned for today so my aims are to restore a little order in the house before the cleaners come tomorrow (at the moment there's no way they could clean with all this clutter) and to sort DDs clothes as she's now completely out of 0-3m stuff but her wardrobe is still full of it. So far I've been living off donations from my lovely friend but her DD was smaller and slower to grow out of things so the lovely 3-6m stuff is all for cold weather. Looks like a shopping trip might be in order!

StormyBrid · 16/07/2013 17:57

So is mine the only one still in 0-3 clothes? Doubt the sleepsuits would still fit as she's too long, but we're still in tiny vests.

vjhist85 · 16/07/2013 18:59

Stormy we've only recently moved into 0-3, and it was only this morning that I put all newborn stuff away! Some of it still fitted but we were running out of drawer space.

Anypants · 16/07/2013 19:03

stormy - we're still in the 0-3 months stuff. DD's only just out of the 'tiny baby' bodysuits from Matalan (which I suspect were on the long side) but I am sad that some of the one's that do still fit she can't wear as it's too hot. Most of her stuff was donated by my DSis so at least I haven't wasted any money. Have got to put the small stuff away now but don't want to. 4 & half months and i'm nostalgic for the 'tiny'days... Blush

SoYo · 16/07/2013 20:12

Don't worry Stormy, I'm rather long myself & I think madam is following me so it was just the length we were doing battle with. I hit the mothercare sale & got some bargains (for under £50 I got 6 babygros, 6 vests, 5 t-shirts, 2 pairs f bottoms, a short suit & a new changing mat) & then I think I'll just pick up some other bits as I go.

I haven't quite managed to get the house in ordered but did get a few bits done & most importantly I managed to get DD down for a nap in her cot!!! Only 20mins but its progress!

StormyBrid · 16/07/2013 21:00

Haven't wasted any money on clothes here - hippy friend donated a bin liner full, cousin with a nine month old passed on a big bag full, the man's dad goes a bit mad buying pink stuff whenever he can, and his mother keeps sending outfits through the post. Haven't spent more than a tenner on DD's clothes so far. Planning to bag up our 0-3 stuff and pass it on to my brother in a week or so.

I don't exactly miss the newborn days - it was relentless and exhausting with very little reward - but I realised a couple of days ago I can't picture how she looked when she was all scrunched up and brand new. Made me rather sad.

Go miniYo with the naps! Twenty minutes is an excellent start.

SoYo · 16/07/2013 21:03

Oh for fucks sake, just when I think I've had a good day. All well until bath time then after that she started screaming blue murder and refused to feed (a first for the greedy one). Finally got her fed and down but she was up again 20mins later. Settled walking around after a while but now 25mins of mega screaming & refusing the boob again. Nothing will placate her. Ive put her down in her cot for a bit as I could feel myself getting tense but she's just getting louder & more fraught.

Eigmum · 16/07/2013 21:38

Oh soyo what about a late walk in the buggy, that is our fall back if not asleep and over tired. Even just around the block?

plonko · 16/07/2013 22:44

SoYo can I recommend sitting outside with a cup of tea for five mins to get some headspace? She's in her cot, safe, warm and definitely not hungry. Take some time to collect yourself. I'm sorry I can't suggest an amazing long term practical solution - my instinct is that it's either silent reflux or something she'll grow out of. I'd give eigs suggestion a go, though as you said up thread you've already tried it all.

Hmm bucking the trend here, we're in a lot of 6-9 month stuff. Although maybe because the majority of ds's clothes are from sainsbos and far smaller than things from actual clothes shops. I held a 0-1month vest against him earlier, it was five inches too short!

ecofreckle · 16/07/2013 23:20

soyo brilliant work on the cot day nap :-) Sorry that it's all gone to shit now. I second Eig and Plonko's suggestion of a walk in buggy. That'd probably do you both good. If successful can you let her sleep in the buggy back at the house or prop up the mattress on her cot so she's more upright....just thinking if she's unhappy feeding maybe she's got tummy ache and being up might help? Have you got a fan for some white noise too? Or like Leni said, some music? Might help to diffuse the wailing a bit. Let us know how you get on.

In other news, at the beach today, I noticed DD has cellulite on her bum and thighs :-) Is that just us or any of you seeing the same?! Lovely chubbiness.

Clothes wise we are using mostly 3-6 months, a couple of 0-3 month and some 6-9 month. I conclude that different shops are the cause of this sizing discrepancy. The cloth nappies make lots of stuff not fit as they make the baby extra long (although you can buy poppable vest extenders).

Look at the time! To bed.

SoYo · 17/07/2013 03:20

Thanks again all, you are my wonderful saviours in times of screamy fits, poo explosions and other unexpected findings of having a mini-me!

Plonko I did indeed have a 5min garden time out and then when I realised I could still hear the screaming and the dog started whining along with it I came back in!

Eig I then took her for a long slow walk and off to sleep she went (after getting lots of sympathy from an elderly gent down the road who said he used to do the same thing round this block 40yrs ago).

Eco we've got the trusty fan on too, ptherwise i think we'd all be simmering! we're exactly the same with clothes, some 0-3m, mostly 3-6 and a few 6-9m (again mostly sainsburys stuff)

So madam fell fast asleep in her pram at 9.30, we transferred her upstairs at 10.30 with lots of screaming but a few mins rocking and cuddling and she was back asleep and she woke up 15mins ago! What a little pest, it's such a mixed bag this parenting isn't it?

Hope everyone else is having a nice snooze!
