Pass
That was my thought, the property it's self is a few roads over. Grin this is the only house I like so P will have to the rest of the work.
also thanks so much for the fanjo advice.

kirrinIsland · 16/05/2013 22:07

Some of you guys have done some very intelligent sounding jobs. My little brain hurt just reading the description Grin

What book is that PR ? I spent my childhood reading pretty much nothing but horsey stories and Enid Blyton.

evil no idea about the lump sorry, but a trip to the docs might be in order. Sounds painful :(
The house looks nice, and it should be easy to change that utility room into a bathroom for the mil.

pass that must have been scary.

N drank 10oz before bed tonight Shock Bet she still bloody wakes at 11 though!

ValiumQueen · 16/05/2013 22:07

Briefly popping in....

Thank you for well wishes x J is in his cot. I have no idea how long this will last. I am expecting a shit night. DD2 is attempting to cough up a lung.

Lump could be a bartholins cyst. A gland that can get blocked. Do not leave it long without getting checked. You do not want a big gaping wound down there. Good it is draining though.

Lots of good advice given tonight I see. Well done quiche x

Will attempt sleep now.

kirrinIsland · 16/05/2013 22:09

Or indeed a kitchen! (can you tell I don't cook?)

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 22:11

Evening all! Not long till df so I'll be brief

det from photos and description s I sounds like such a character! Curious and confident and fab, so don't worry about the other mum/s. Well done on the weight loss by the way:)

pass you didn't spot p being in pain but you were very busy trying to do the right thing and the gp didn't realise either. At least you know now. Sorry I'm rubbish with words but what I mean is it's not your fault

hope tonight is ok vq j is so brave bless him.

woohoo izzy that is fab!

I haven't used one of those mesh things yet but do have one so ill give it a try tomorrow perhaps with banana in.

Have sung a decent amount of milk into e today. It's such a ball ache but could be worse! He has had breakfast consistently most mornings since we started weaning again and either tea or lunch too so I am going to keep going with this. Might have to make more of an effort to have baby suitable foods and purees ready cos I struggle esp at lunch. Tomorrow is two cubes of sweet potato with yoghurt to follow for whatever meal he is awake for. See, not very exciting! Tea is some chicken and bacon stew thing so I might see if I can puree a little before bacon/anything else unsuitable is added. Guess if we are eating it and he refuses it its not going to be frustrating or anything!

If he eats sweet potato again what might be good to add to it? Parsnip? Or do I move on to something entirely different? People keep mentioning lentils, these are pureed still? Are they not grim on their own? I love lentils in stuff but haven't had them on their own before.

There was more but have to sort bottle so back shortly

Mmmmmmm lentils.........,

If you're puree then blend them. Not sure how well they'll go down. Shove it through a sieve which I'd do for soup. If blw then just cook them and serve!!!' I'm planning on doing a dhal. And a lentil bake.

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 22:31

Lol! Lots of posts whilst I took a miserably long time to post! Hope she sleeps longer kirrin

Go to the gp evil

Ermmmm. ..

ah yes, good night's all round I hope! Also I got some baby corn to steam :) will he just break off little kernels?

ValiumQueen · 16/05/2013 22:31

Cook lentils with the veg baby has already tolerated ok. Or in a baby stock cube (suitable for feeding to baby not containing baby or indeed for cooking baby) if you want more variety. The way Js bowels are, he will NOT be having lentils for some time.

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 22:34

Thank you horsey I'm doing both but puree scares me less so ill probably try that first

Passmethecrisps · 16/05/2013 22:36

Nice one pikz! You can chum me in a line any day!

And thank you for the lentil advice laydeez. Am I right in thinking they contain iron? I might mix with a few veggies. At a later date.

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 22:37

Thanks vq theres a very small range so far of veg he'll eat but I shall perhaps give them a go soon :) his mealtimes seem pretty boring atm :(

Passmethecrisps · 16/05/2013 22:38

Lol @ stock made of baby. Considering the face the cat pulled when she sniffed P's face earlier I am not sure how delicious that stock would be!

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 22:41

Baby stock cube?

Passmethecrisps · 16/05/2013 22:44

Reeeeeeeeaally low salt Kyz. I bought some today made by Heinz. I found them with the baby food.

TheDetective · 16/05/2013 22:47

I did carrot and parsnip - both of which he has had before, and whizzed in blender with some cooked lentils. He took that fine!

Boots had baby stock cubes and gravy - saw them today when I was idly wandering around!

horseylady · 16/05/2013 22:51

pass yw det I get the meds things. I soooooo want him to be ok. And not need them. But he does.

I don't think I've told you this but it's helping me through weaning. When we eventually got him to realise that I was no longer feeding him through his stomach and he needed to eat milk, we started off giving him 5-10ml every 2/3hrs. While still offering the boob (ha!!!) anyway. After all these mws telling me his belly was the size of my thumb nail I suddenly wasnt allowed home unless he was eating 50ml per feed ideally 2 hourly. Then his amounts at home were to increase daily by 10-20ml. I just remember feeling so completely overwhelmed by this I called dh and cried. He was not very useful probably as it was a battle to get 10ml down him.

Suddenly though, he just started eating. And eating and eating. By 14 weeks he was having 50 oz a day. Yes broncolitis and other stuff has seen his eating change but its picked up again.

I was hugely worried about introducing food as our routine had been just so for ages. But things change. He starting to eat more. Slowly and in his time. Trust your babies. The majority on here will be just fine. There are exceptions (hv told me a shocking story of a three year old drinking 4 pints of milk, pretty much all over night and very few solids in the day) but these are few and far between. And why hv etc are there. To help. I also think our interpretations of questions can vary too. My fil proved that when he went to the gp with depression and the gp basically said 'what do you want us to do?' She meant what treatment do you want. He took it as he was wasting her time.

Passmethecrisps · 16/05/2013 22:58

Thanks for sharing that Missus. This eating business is hard going.

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 22:59

Thanks all I'll look out for some. Good post horsey I know we all worry but like you said a large majority of babies are just fine :)

89% of the time I can be relaxed about feeding but sometimes I wobble and I wish I didn't Blush

Kyzordz · 16/05/2013 23:00

99% obviously! !

horseylady · 16/05/2013 23:02

pass it is. I wasted enough time worrying about bloody breast feeding. I'm not doing that again. Ill post today's pasta pic on Facebook!!

Lentils full of protien. Prob got some iron. Didn't think as much as spinach which is the king of iron :)

GTbaby · 16/05/2013 23:58

DH actually mentioned DC3 today. As in "how about we start trying for dc3 in January" so there is an even gap between all of them Angry was my reply. "When we have a full time nanny AND cleaner AND i quit FT work...then I will discuss it" that will never happen! Lol

Right off to catch up.

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2013 01:31

Quiet tonight?

R and vdp seem to have survived with no ill effects, just mummy biting her nails from afar Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 17/05/2013 01:32

Bad bad night. Had more to say but too tired so will post properly later.
