Dude is shouting from his cot. 4 failed transfers. He just won't sleep. Clean nappy, ewan, dummy, tummy, back, nothing makes him happy. So he's having to go it alone, at least till he actually cries instead of shouting at me Hmm

Yup, ther he goes Sad

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 19:54

Transfer attempt 3 here. He used to go to bed so well Sad

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 19:56

Yet another reflux Q - which formula should I as for? Nutramigen Lipil 1 or 2? Or AA? F will be 6 months old on Friday.

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 20:01

Calgel. For fuck's sake. How did i forget that? Calm and settling now. Fx!

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 20:02

Det you have pm

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:03

It can be bought, but very hard to find. Usually easiest thing is to order off the internet, but it isn't available for either due to fucking bastarding manufacturers.

No one has replied. I am ][ this close to ringing NHS direct for advice. I really don't know what we are going to do - other than give him LF. Which is shit, because he's been CMP free for over 2 weeks, so it's a massive step fucking backwards.

Fuckity fuck fuck fuck.

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:06

I have replied! Grin

Chasing and Pidj Failed transfers tailed off a few days ago - about 3/4. So about 10 nights in total.

If that gives any hope because I had none!.

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 20:06

Where can it usually be bought from? Chemists? If you can't get any tonight I can try and hunt some out locally for you and post. I know it means a days wait but may be better than nothing?

ChasingDaisy · 20/05/2013 20:07

O2 is 3/4 days younger than O1 so that gives me hope! He has gone down on third attempt. Which is an improvement on 5.

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:09

BP is she weaning? IIRC she is? I think they go on to the lipil 2 when weaning, but I could be wrong. I asked for the AA just because I'm fed up of trying one thing, and it not working well. If it works, I will try him on the Lipil 2 in a few weeks once he is settled, and weaning has properly commenced again.

We just need a breather, hence why I wanted the one there was least chance of reaction to.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/05/2013 20:12

She was, until ButterGate. And now she won't swallow anything other than milk. And brown sugar in water - guess what that's for! It's a fucking minefield.

BigPigLittlePig it's not nice seeing them struggling is it.

Hope everything gets back to normal ASAP.

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 20:25

Not caught up properly but...

detective call the hospital pharmacy or children's ward. At more than one hospital if necessary. Or mix with LF. A few doses of LF will not hurt, and it is a good bland taste. We ran out of Nutramigen a couple of weeks ago due to delivery issues and J had pure LF for a few feeds. He coped fine. It is so highly hydrolysed it will be fine as a stop gap.

YellowWellies · 20/05/2013 20:26

Pennie my niece had an issue with carrot too.

BPLP 100% of CMPI babies can take nutramigen AA but only 90% can tolerate nutramigen 2 - if she's sensitive enough to detect it in BM I'd be inclined to stick with AA and supplement with vitamin drops - that's what we've been advised by the paediatrician.

Det that's terrifying! Hope you source some xx

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 20:26

3x calgel and a calpol. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease stay asleep for a nice long time?

Det I just spammed up the newsfeeds of approximately 15,000 peopke for you Wink might wanna pm me your real name!

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:27

I just feel so :( going back and undoing the 2 weeks of hard work, especially as it was hard getting him to come off the LF for the fucking bastarding Pepti!

Rah rah rah raaaage!

I will ring the pharmacy now. I didn't think childrens ward would have any with it being such a specialist milk. I will ring anyway and be the nutter mother on the phone!

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:28

Grin Grin Grin

PM is coming!

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:29

I've just added you on FB :)

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 20:34

Neocate.

Vanilla essence in nutramigen

Human milk4babies have loads in your area if you can use donated?

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 20:35

My fb is going nuts!

ValiumQueen · 20/05/2013 20:38

I wonder if J should have AA due to his skin. I will ask dietician. He is on Lipil 2 but is not on enough solids really. I thought it was from six months as that is what it says on the tin. If it is from weaning, it should say from fucking weaning on the fucking tin!!!

Thank you for the lovely words about Jacobs name. DD1 I am so happy with as I chose it Grin but I was convinced DD2 was a DS so I said DH could name a girl. The name she goes by was only said as a joke, bit it stuck. And it is so her.

PurplePidjin · 20/05/2013 20:41

Combiotic by Hipp is the same thing? Can get on amazon apparently

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:43

Ok. Pharmacy shut accidently wrote shit then! and childrens ward have none.

I will happily use donated - if it is from dairy free mummies!

The problem for O is the taste. The finicky little sod!

Vanilla essence could work - we have some. Will have a google. I assume this will be okay??

We were thinking a drop of bloody nesquick just to get him to take it overnight.

We can fall back on the LF if we have to, but to be honest, I'd rather not. But I'd not let him starve, so not a lot of choice if nothing else works!

TheDetective · 20/05/2013 20:45

The problem with the different brands is they all taste different. So while he is now taking Pepti 1, he wouldn't to begin with. We had to mix the 2 formulas for 4 days til he accepted it.

He will be the same with any other brand if he's like this with the Nutramigen I suspect!
