Sorry but im frecked out!

Air lost ball over fence to nextdoors so we put a note thru door to ask for it back last week on Wednesday he said he throw it the otherway and will give it back when he gets it (fairenough) then today the women from that house has climbed down to nextdoors and totally cleared up his garden. This includes passing all garden waste to her dd to put him their bin.

Dh and ds went and asked for our ball back and she played innoccent "what a disney ball, no I havent seen it".

So where is our ball? Why is she doing his gardening? Are they having an affair? Why is she not doing my garden? Wink

AnAirOfHope · 29/06/2013 20:48

Wow queenie ur dh willnt camp Shock Wink

QueenofClean · 29/06/2013 21:01

Air nope huge won't camp, he needs his hot water! lol

Figgygal · 29/06/2013 21:12

I am definitely in the won't camp group too

OiMissus · 30/06/2013 08:23

Why don't they have festivals on campsites, where there are shower blocks and real flushing, plumbed toilets?!

Xiaoxiong · 30/06/2013 10:17

I think my camping tolerance level is set somewhere around that fab Featherdown Farms type of camping. Or when we went camping on safari with 4 Maasai to guard us at night and fill the camp shower with hot water Smile it was under canvas but with china and wine glasses and sundowners under the acacia trees.

That said, those kids festivals look quite fun.

DH finally got home Friday night around 3 hours later than planned but so, SO wonderful to have him home. We talked all night and he and DS have just been having a ball together all weekend. And my parents bought a table and 4 chairs for the garden for my birthday, just in time for the sunshine! He has to leave again at 2pm though for one more week Sad

Apparently this is my last week of the 2nd trimester Shock How has this pregnancy gone so fast??

NorthernChinchilla · 30/06/2013 10:52

Yep, my camping tolerance is pretty limited; I've done it once as a teenager up here in extreme Ruralshire, but it rained so hard we ended up in a barn on a friend's family's farm with all the cows on Halloween.... I've done a couple of festivals, but only one dayers.

Having fun up here, we had our first night off- DS went to his Auntie's- and then had our hotel and meal out, and beer festival for our ten year anniversary. All great fun, and then we bumped into one of my oldest friends, got drinking a bit more, thought a club would be a good idea....and ended up back in the hotel at 5am Blush Shock Confused

Given I like to be in bed at half ten every night, and have a few drinkies at the weekend only, this was a massive reversion to student life, in the same town with the same people!

On the food front, DS is also a wee piglet. Cereal and homemade fruit puree for breakfast, snack (breadsticks, toast, banana, etc) then a bottle, lunch of a sandwich, Humzinger, etc, repeat snack and bottle, and then his new favourites olives for a 'starter', pasta dish, and grimace fraud. The rest of the family think I'm mean only allowing DS water, but given I'm the only one in either DP's family or mine with decent teeth, I'm sticking to my guns on that one!

And I know what you mean Xiao, I can't believe the way you're all suddenly pregnant and so far along, I'm sure seven's still only about 15 weeks Grin

thekatsatonthematt · 30/06/2013 12:17

Neither dh nor I like camping, but we went to glasto the last two years and the cost of the tickets meant we sucked it up and did thu-mon both times. Technically ds was there last time too as I must have been 4 months pregnant Smile .

So we were there the really hot year 2010 and a muddy year 2011.

Dh has said we can't go back unless we have a camper van or similar. I'm just jealous cos my group of friends are there and it's a special year as two of them are treating it as a birthday celebration as they both turn 30 this year (might be a bit jealous of their ages too tbhWink )

thekatsatonthematt · 30/06/2013 12:21

Oh, and I know people do manage, but 8 months pregnant walking through the mud that will inevitably still be there after the rain on thursday? No thanks!

Just at b&q buying a g-clamp to bodge fix our pushchair frame, then the afternoon will be sent listening to the gp and glasto on the radio in the garden then catching up with the tour de France and glasto on the tv later.

Oh, and washing the mountain of baby clothes I unpacked yesterday. Were our cybermigets ever really that small?!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 30/06/2013 12:31

Leeds festival had showers. Not for the delicate of nature or the shy, as they were totally open to all other women. People were having showers in shorts and vests, and me and my friends just stripped off. We started a naked revolution as everyone else then started taking their clothes off too!

Xiaoxiong · 30/06/2013 14:38

thekat I know - I got down the vacuum bag of 0-3 month clothes to see if they would all need washing and the stuff is sooooo tiny! And DS was never even in newborn size clothes - I can only imagine how much tinier those clothes are.

Northern you are a legend - I would have been asleep and drooling into my beer by the end of the festival, that sounds awesome!

DH turned down my offers of breaking his kneecaps or giving him gastroenteritis to keep him down here for the week, and gone back to Scotland - he had a summer lunch in the garden with me and DS in bright sunshine and blue skies and then flew up to Loch Eil where the conditions are (and will remain all week) 13c and pouring rain! Only till Saturday...only till Saturday...and then he's full time SAHD till Sept 3rd Grin

Also because I know all of you but especially Queen will appreciate this - is there anything in the world more satisfying than beds aired and made, a load of whites and a load of nappies strip washed and bleaching nicely in the sun, all dishes washed and put away, all counters and hob cleaned and dry, kitchen floor mopped and garden weeded and watered? I may possibly be trying to keep busy so I don't mind DH going so very much

Figgygal · 30/06/2013 16:33

Afternoon all

DS is asleep in the car so am sat here letting him have 15mins before going in, we've been out for lunch with friend as dh off birding for the day. Here's a tip for u on sunday at slug and lettuce kids eat for a pound and desserts r bogof so with a 25% voucher we found on table from previous people we all had 2 courses and drinks for £23 that's how much food out should cost Grin DS had a bowl of ice cream I've never seen him look so happy Grin

QueenofClean · 30/06/2013 17:52

Xiao nothing like a clean an tidy house. Clean sheets that smell lush when you get in at night Smile

Am currently sat in Wembley Stadium waiting for Olly Murs & Robbie Williams to appear on stage Grin

CheungFun · 30/06/2013 20:27

Hi everyone,

Boiling hot day here so we spent the afternoon at the park and I got burnt to a crisp despite putting on sun cream and sitting under the shade of a tree! DH and DS have just got tans....not fair Envy and DS even has cute stripey feet now :)

We've now had 14 viewings. I am soooo stressy about it all now even though we haven't been on the market long! I wish it was easier to buy/sell houses but as DM not so tactfully put it "it's just what you've got to do!".

QoC Have a great time!

Figgy sounds lovely! We decided we ought to buy DS his own ice-cream next time as I don't like sharing ice-cream even with DS and DH had to more or less give his to DS!

Xiao must be fun going through the newborn stuff! Scary how fast they grow though!

I'd quite like to try camping with DS and DH one day, I think we would have fun, but only with a bonfire :)

thekatsatonthematt · 30/06/2013 20:31

Queen have fun!

Am feeling very sad. Have just had an email from a very close friend who had dropped off the radar a bit. She's announced that she and "D"h are in the process of getting divorced. That's two of my friends who had what I considered from the outside to be the strongest and most robust relationships who have split this year. Heartsick for both of them Sad

Faffin · 30/06/2013 21:19

Aw, Kat that's rubbish Sad

I've never been to a festival either. Love music. Don't do camping. DH loves camping so will take the DC's on his own when theythey're older

Lovely day here. We went to the park this morning. I had a run whilst DH took the DC's to the playground bit, then we all went to the cafe for a drink and snack before pottering about the park some more, with DD's bike and a ball for DS to chase. Then spent the afternoon in the garden with the paddling pool. DS absolutely loved it. We also had a fly past from the red arrows as we're not that far away from Silverstone. Unfortunately DS missed it because he was having his nap, but he really enjoyed seeing all the helicopters coming and going post-race!

Hope you're having a fun time queen

mopsytop · 30/06/2013 21:26

We did undercoat of kitchen this morning and first coat of paint tonight. hopefully will get away with just one more coat. Kitchen fitters come Wednesday... can't wait!

Hope you all had a nice weekend.

QueenofClean · 01/07/2013 00:23

Concert was absolutely fabulous. Robbie & Olly are both fantastic entertainers. Shattered.com now tho and got sore throat Grin

QueenofClean · 01/07/2013 00:25

Also Darcie loved it. She had a brilliant time, dancing and singing all the time. Perfect choice of first stadium gig I think Grin

OiMissus · 01/07/2013 08:07

I wrote a post last night and it has been swallowed... Sad
Anyway...Northern I love those nights that start very innocently, and then end at 5am or something equally silly. Brilliant!" I haven't done that for a long time! Good on you.
QoC - Glad you had fun with Olly and Robbie. Smile
Figgy/Cheung - Ice cream - the BOi loves ice cream! I should post the pics on FB. He scrapes the bowl clean, the tries to tip anything remaining from the bowl directly into his mouth. Disgraceful manners, but so funny!
Kat sorry to hear your friends are divorcing. Yuk. When I feel about how many people I'll upset or disappoint if we end up going down that route... yuk.
DH and I did not have a good weekend. I snapped at his boring interminable stories, and so we had quite a bit of "getting on with things in stony silence". Not good.
I dropped BOi of at the Gps this morning. Mum asked me how we'd got on at Relate. She told me that you fall in and out of love and it will come back, so don't give up. Then she rather helpfully told me that he's a good man, and "you're not perfect!" wtf???
Hee and my dad's marriage is not one that I look up to. they should've divorced a long time ago. I grew up knowing that she resented him. (Maybe I should remind her of this?!)
But we got lots done this weekend. I de-weeded the veggie beds and the garden, I thinned out the cabbages and carrots. - We're going to have a bumper crop. they may all be eaten by caterpillars and other such bugs before we get to them, but for our first attempt, our veggie beds are FULL and positively blooming!
I also explored the other swing fittings in the shed to see what the previous owners had left. - BOi refuses to sit in the baby swing anymore, he wants a normal swing... - anyway, I found another normal swing, and a rather amazing, fantastic, boat swing thing for two people. Well helloooooo!!! fantastic fun. I love it. Forget BOi - this is mine!
Boi helped me in the shed, and re-discovered the Night Garden scooter, that they also left. He was astounded. Never had he seen such a thing of (rusty old) beauty. There was Igglepiggle - mummy can you quite believe it?! And there, by his side, there's upsy daisy!! Who'd have thought it?!! Mummy look!
So whilst DH put up the new slide, I had to run around, crouched over, driving BOi around the garden. I have to teach him how to self-propel the thing, rather than just stand on with two feet, my back can't take much more! After about the 50th tour, I collapsed.
Mopsy good luck with the kitchen fitting this week!

OiMissus · 01/07/2013 08:32

feel ? I meant think.
hee - her
My marriage is a mess.
DH (why still the D?) just annoys me. This is not good. He bores me. It just seems to be getting worse. I don't know what to do. It feels like we should have a break from each other. But that's not really possible. We'd have to buy him a car... which we could do,... But what if I didn't miss him? If I felt better on my own (which I'm sure I would)? That wouldn't help, would it? But the stony silences aren't good for any of us. Ugh.
I haven't heard back from Relate yet about the next appointment. I might chase them up later.
In summary: Ugh.

Figgygal · 01/07/2013 08:54

Oi def chase relate up before u crack and tell him to leave although perhaps that will be inevitable anyway.....much sympathy as I feel much of the same frustrations here at times.

And also on the scooter DS has decided being pushed along on his ride on car is much better than doing it himself we push him from one side of house to other and back again and back again and again (I could go on) Grin

Another London trip today 7.30 train been up since 5.30 Blush just pulling into paddington and off to a meeting near the palace might do the tourist thing and wander over as am predictably early

AnAirOfHope · 01/07/2013 09:40

Oi its your relationship and only you know what is best for you. Rant away here it helps (((((hugs))))))

Figgy Envy I have nevet been to london, have fun and hope u have a good meeting.

More newborn photos soon with you ladies being so far along. Put ur feet up and take it easy xx

Air and Hope enjoied the pirates and princess party. Hopes temp has broke, I think she is teething. She is so clingy this weekend I cant even leave her with dh as she crys.

OiMissus · 01/07/2013 11:17

Aaoh - get thee to London! I know it's not easy with kids to go anywhere, and hotels are expensive if you wish to stay over, but London is an amazing place! The museums alone are outstanding! But even just wandering along the Southbank and around Covent Garden is fun.
But it might be a nightmare ATM with Hope. If she's anything like BOi, she'd bring the infamous dinosaurs in the Nat Hist museum to the floor in an almighty display of chaos... Maybe leave it until they can be trained. Wink

CheungFun · 01/07/2013 12:34

Oh no Oi that sounds like it could have been a really shit weekend but only turned out well because you got stuff done. No advice really as you know yourself/DH better than any of us do, but you deserve to be happy. It's hard to know what is 'normal' and what is a 'rough patch' and whether things will go back to how they were or if they will be better than before.

Air I agree....you need a trip to London :-) I love London even with DS (although me, DS and clothes shopping do not work well anywhere), there's something for everyone IMO. I can't wait for winter so we can take DS to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park again (luckily we now know the extortionate cost of the rides so we can save up for it as a special treat). One of my friends and I are going to treat ourselves to a day trip minus children to splurge at the big Primark on Oxford Street at some point soon :-)
