I also hate hayfever. It is evil. Mine hasn't started proper yet. Dreading it.

PurplePidjin · 07/05/2013 17:56

Baby group then coffee out then a big lunch of sweet potato, cauliflower and rice led to a fantastic 1 1/2 hour nap in the cot Shock the trick is to boob him straight back down after 20 mins, not assume he's done. I pureed 2 pears and a giant mutant parsnip, put a load of washing on, ran the dishwasher and nearly finished crocheting a hat my friend ordered for her dd (just need to finish the brim and make some little flowers)

I'm currently attempting boob to sleep. Normally i insist bedtime is 7pm but i think he gets overtired which is why it takes so long (1+ hours of feeding). Tonight will be 6pm bed, 9:30-10pm dream feed depends if mummy can keep her eyes open then hopefully only 1 wake till 6am. Drastic measures and I might miss Hollyoaks GRR

PurplePidjin · 07/05/2013 18:32

He went down for 10 minutes now more boob Hmm

I may be invoking sweary Wednesday early at this rate Sad

Kyzordz · 07/05/2013 18:39

Fucking hell where's sweary fucking weds when you need it :(

StuntNun · 07/05/2013 18:43

ChasingDaisy · 07/05/2013 18:48

Here stunt!

pidj and kyz let rip with some swearing at we will get there shortly....

PurplePidjin · 07/05/2013 18:49

3rd time lucky?

What's up Kyz?

MsJupiterJones · 07/05/2013 18:51

Pass I have had some dizzy spells recently but I think they're related to tiredness. Might be worth keeping a diary for a couple of weeks to see if there is a pattern?

Chasing we did cranio sacral therapy which is even more woo bollocks than the osteo I think. He was 5 weeks old and hadn't pooed or slept (much) for ten days. I was desperate. She re-enacted his birth and we tried not to giggle. Funnily enough he did have a massive poo and good sleep within 24 hrs but I think either it was coming anyway or I just relaxed a bit & so did he. Or it's magic and everyone should do it. One of those Grin

Kyz veg sounds mmm mmm mmm.

I think L must have heard me boohooing to you guys yesterday. He has been in a brilliant mood all day (apart from a brief period after his nap which we'll gloss over), laughing at everything I did, whether sing dance or just smile at him. He has a really dirty old man laugh sometimes! Nyah-ha-ha-ha. Anyway I think he just has good days and bad days just like me everyone. And he's definitely a morning person (not like me). Things are ok really. I don't know why I seem to have a crisis of confidence every couple of weeks or so, maybe sleep/stress related. Thank goodness for the quiche. Am I allowed to be thankful on Tuesday? I'm definitely sweary all the other days Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 07/05/2013 18:56

Good luck pidj - if I try to get F down even a minute before 7.45, she point blank refuses to sleep. 7.46 - out like a light. Weird. She suffers with overtired hysteria from about 6.30, but won't hear of an earlier bedtime. Am sending good luck vibes your way.

JJ most things can be blamed on lack of sleep/stress - glad you're feeling a bit brighter today. Also glad L has been a barrel of laughs.

Aqua-aerobics tonight, am friggin tired though. Not really in the mood but I will go, just try not to nod off.

StuntNun · 07/05/2013 18:57

Can't remember who asked about abdominal migraines but in young children migraines can present as abdominal pain rather than headache. DS2 was frequently complaining of tummy ache, especially at school so of course we thought he was malingering, turns out it was migraines. Confused Is there an opposite of Munchausen's by proxy where your child is actually ill and the parents dismiss it?

BigPigLittlePig · 07/05/2013 18:59

Stunt I believe it is a common phenomenon amongst children of those in the medical profession. I once worked with an A&E nurse who told her daughter with a painful foot it was "nothing much" but had to eat her words 3 days later when an X-ray showed a fracture. Oops Blush Perhaps we should name it...

ChasingDaisy · 07/05/2013 19:00

JJ I'm totally not into woo type shit, I think it is just of desperation.

He has been amazing today, so smiley, happy, fun and chatty. I would prefer if his patter didn't include ear piercing screeches but he has perfected blowing raspberries and saying 'baba' and 'dada'. He has also finally found out where his feet are. I think he is just too wired to sleep through.

horseylady · 07/05/2013 19:05

chasing IMO it worked. I spent £60 total, two treatments.

But I have my back manipulated etc and pay for the horses to be sorted too.

PurplePidjin · 07/05/2013 19:09

R is normally 8:30. But clearly tired much much earlier

Will try transfer 3 shortly. Dp went for ice cream, think i need it Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 07/05/2013 19:10

Do I get a medal now? Or struck by lightning?

ValiumQueen · 07/05/2013 19:13

We shave your head to see if there are any numbers or bony protrusions.

ChasingDaisy · 07/05/2013 19:38

Devil, moi? Nope. Honest Guv'.

TheDetective · 07/05/2013 19:44

Going for transfer number 4 Hmm

He was/is knackered. But won't be put in the cot. Suspect pram naps ate the culprit. Fuck.

He's snoring. This better work!

TheDetective · 07/05/2013 19:58

Ate the culprit?! That would be interesting. Grin

He went. Thank goodness! I managed it without his comfort blanket too. It is just too warm for it. He won't be bloody parted from it usually. Hmm

I had a lovely tea tonight. And now I feel sick. It is the first meal I've properly enjoyed while on SW. If it comes back up, I am going to be SOOOOOOOOOOO cross!!!!

PurplePidjin · 07/05/2013 20:03

Culprit sounds delicious, Det, but I'll stick with my caramella ice cream ta Wink

3rd was the charm here, went down at 7:15 - 1 1/4 earlier than usual - let's see how the dream feed goes Hmm

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 07/05/2013 20:20

I'm packed!!! Will have forgotten a ton no doubt :(

Gorgeous day here on Costa del Fife. I have such tanned arms / hands from pram pushing!

The bear has been on fantastic form since he started sleeping well again - so I think it might have been the 6 month growth spurt making him whingy and sleep dodging. Also he's got a big back tooth up and nearly cutting (contrary child wouldn't do the normal thing and cut the front ones first).

He's changing so fast. He was desperately trying to chat up MMs Tilly today - cooing, hand holding and big beaming smiles - but she was playing hard to get.

He stroked the cat and came away with a handful of fur Shock. and surprisingly unscathed.

And he's been sitting unaided (he's small of bum and big of noggin so its taken time for him not to face plant Grin Grin ) and is desperate to crawl. He came pretty close today - though looked like a furious skydiver. Also he has a new ear splitting range of noises Shock

I realised I don't have any crying pics (only an awful video of him hysterically screaming which we took to show the docs when we were trying to get his reflux diagnosed - that's too horrible to share) so I put him on the bed thinking I'd take some normal pics and he duly had a hissy fit. Will upload pic later.

Right am off to scoff home made dairy free lemon drizzle cake lots of love to you all. xxxxxx

TheDetective · 07/05/2013 20:25

What is in your cake YW! I need ideas for yummy treats to keep me on the wagon! I nearly caved in Tesco today. It is hell for a dieter. GRRR!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/05/2013 20:26

Sweary fucking Wednesday coming up :)

No-one swore much last week so I hope we will all make up for it this time :)

An example: it's been fucking weeks since I have had to give meds to my kids. Yay.
Or why the twattery bollocks has my fucking grass grown3cm since Saturday? Could it be because of the sun being interupted by cunting rain?

Just to get you all in the fucking sweary mood like :o
