I shall persist for the requisite three nights but sceptically. Wake ups at 1:45, 2:50 and 5:15 i don't know what I'm doing wrong Sad

Lily311 · 07/05/2013 05:36

O hates dream feed. She wakes more often if I feed her at 10.30. She woke at 12.30 last night than slept till 5.30. The nappy made a mark on her chunky legs but she didn't seem to mind. Can't remember who asked but she needs to wear it day and night till physio recommends it than only during the night till she starts to crawl.

chasing you seem beautiful to me.
horsey with you on weight loss, going to sign up in the local gym today. Have had enough. My sister lost 3 stones by not eating just at dinner time, she looks amazing. My sister in law now follows her steps and lost 1 stone in a month. Not great way but it does work.

We are off to see my cousin today, she has a 10 month old who already walks.
As for pictures, I keep taking of O while doing a poo and send it to my brother. If I miss a day, he complains. He wants poo faces pictures.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/05/2013 07:00

izzy that must have been very frightening :(

kyz personally I would roast and puree peppers and combine with something else like apple maybe, or courgette (which does need to be cooked yes - you can roast with the peppers or boil it, or steam it). Raw peppers must be great to gum on but are harder to digest. Roasting them will soften and sweeten them, and make them easier to digest (though will produce interesting poos). Banana can be mashed til really smooth if you're persistent with the fork. It's sticky though so some babies find it hard to push to the back of the mouth. Sounds like you're both doing brilliantly.

chasing you look lovely. I understand what it is like to have issues with appearance. I only just came to terms with actually feeling quite attractive a couple of years ago, then health problems and too many crisps have fucked up my figure. I grew up being told by lots of people that my sisters were more attractive than me but my mum reassured me by saying 'don't worry, you might be like the ugly duckling and grow up into a beautiful swan' Hmm It sucks not to feel at one's best, but trust me, you look lovely and deserve to be with someone who reminds you of that regularly.

I am looking forward to watching vq chase detective

StuntNun · 07/05/2013 07:14

Is it so very wrong to have the Benny Hill music in my head when imagining VQ chasing Detective?

:o

horseylady · 07/05/2013 07:45

lilly I don't do meal skipping.

izzy I hope your mum called the police and your dad is ok this morning. How scary.

kyz banana hater here!!! We don't bother with it. I might try this week again. Maybe.

Passmethecrisps · 07/05/2013 07:51

Love the poo face pictures! Brilliant.

stunt your night sounds horrendous. Any chance of some peace today?

P woke crying at 10pm - another poo.

6:30 this morning. More poo.

She isn't getting any solids yet so no idea really

PetiteRaleuse · 07/05/2013 07:52

LO quite likes avocado and banana mixed up. Power breakfast or what!?

DH went to the supermarket the other day and bought some ready made baby meals. I was Angry because I like to know exactly what she is eating, and find they are far more expensive than making my own.

Yesterday I opened one, boaked at the smell and decided to give it to the dog. But then I thought, what if... So heated it up and gave to LO. She freaking loved it. She preferred it to any of my homemade vegetarian purees. Though she hasn't tried my more advanced meat and fish ones yet.

Needless to say DH was smug as Angry

I have raised a Nestlé baby :(

:o

StuntNun · 07/05/2013 08:08

I think it's handy to have them in reserve PR, my first two both seemed to prefer jar or packet food to real food. I suppose it's the equivalent of giving your toddler fish fingers and chips - not necessarily the best food but won't do any harm in the long run.

DS2 seems okay this morning Pass but I'm going to keep him off school anyway because he had so little sleep I can't see him making it through the day. We've asked the school and they say there's no sign of him being bullied, plus he always seems to have enjoyed school at home time, but he always seems to have a problem going back after a break. DS1 is hurriedly faking injury to try and get off school as well. Hmm

J did 7-10:30, 11-1, 1.15-4, 4.30-6 last night which is better than some nights recently but not as good as it could be. DS2 was up more times than I can count, definitely more than 20. Confused

Lesson of the day - having used bumbo in paddling pool, ensure it is full dry before putting freshly dressed baby into it. Currently have a naked baby and a pile of soggy clothes.

Stunt Brew sounds like dh needs to buck his ideas up.
Chasing paddling pool was a great success, am sure O will love it.
Izzy I hope your dad's ok this morning, although glad to hear your sister is able to have a crap by herself Grin
PP dream feed here = nightmare, as she needs winding which wakes her up anyway, then she's unsettled. Or if I don't wind her, she wakes with wind and is unsettled.

7.30-10-2-4.45-7. We've had better, but also had much worse. Maybe she's coming out the other side of whatever the past 10 days has been?

Passmethecrisps · 07/05/2013 08:42

izzy Shock Sad and Angry for your poor dad! I really hope everyone is ok.

stunt remind me of your DS's age?

MsJupiterJones · 07/05/2013 08:42

BPLP oh no - soggy bottom!

Dixiebell · 07/05/2013 08:59

kyz, bit of bm/formula milk mixed with banana so it's a bit thinner?

Teddy's decided to stop napping in his cot. Just screams. So annoying as he's always been pretty good till now.

And I've list my keys, house and car. Haven't seen them since thurs. I feel like they may be somewhere in the house hidden by all the pikes if stuff everywhere! But equally could be properly list. Does everyone else struggle with washing? Putting it in machine and drying is no prob but I never seem to find time to put it all away ( ironing doesn't get a look-in in this house, except DH's shirts which he does himself).

Passmethecrisps · 07/05/2013 09:03

dixie nothing is out away here. The most I achieve is I sort it out so that P's stuff goes in a pile in her room and our stuff piled in our room. Occassionally I fold things but it isn't worth it.

ChasingDaisy · 07/05/2013 09:09

Stunt that sounds horrific. I don't know how you're coping Brew

Does anyone have any thoughts on cranial osteopathy? I am still worried about O's flat head and he often wakes from naps appearing to be in some discomfort. There is a very well respected practitioner here but I can't afford to spend money on something which may turn out to be bollocks.

Pikz · 07/05/2013 09:11

You can sell them on eBay right?

LuisGarcia · 07/05/2013 09:12

It's bollocks. Save your money and worry less.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/05/2013 09:13

Chasing my mum swears by it (for her) and I've heard good things about it for babies. I don't think there is any way you can tell in advance whether it's going to help or not though - wish there was.

After the vets bill, am currently trying to work out how to make £66 last until the end of the month Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 07/05/2013 09:15

I get the reasoning behind ready made baby purée, and I know it won't do any harm at all, but I so enjoy making them myself, and working through the recipes and making up my own etc. However she might have liked this one in particular because it had meat in it, so I will try her on my veal chicken and veg again.

DD1 has set off every noisy toy in the house at once. Minnie Mouse is singing and´laughing. The keyboard is playing its whole repertoire, and the singing books are singing. It's horrible.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/05/2013 09:17

I have heard some horror stories about cranial osteopathy in France, but maybe it is better regulated in the UK. Personally I think it can work for those who choose to believe in it. But I'm not great on alternative therapy. To put it mildly.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/05/2013 10:14

But I'm not great on alternative therapy

Really, pr? Wink

Kyzordz · 07/05/2013 10:26

May have five mins to catch up later, have spent the morning chopping veg to roast. I have done butternut, parsnip, courgette and pepper. Only I've no idea when they're done! Think the pepper is almost there now. The butternut is still hard though. Parsnip is going soft. Courgette seems softer too. I have done some strips and some chunks, thinking if I purée some then have some sticks he has a choice. Not sure what to give him again today. Banana? Or a veg? Or maybe potato with a little unsalted butter? I have also done plain potato and I have mango, carrot, papaya, bananas apples and pear. Have yet to purée apples though. Oh and blueberries.

Will read later I promise, good night here, he didnt peep till 6:15, went down at 7:45

BigPigLittlePig · 07/05/2013 10:34

Kyz chop the pear and add a tiny bit of water - microwave for 20 seconds then puree. Goes down a treat in this house!

Butternut squash will go a darker orange and be soft when done (squishes flat with finger pressure).

ValiumQueen · 07/05/2013 10:37

kyz I am drooling too!

My mum was pretty horrified that I had given J a food (papaya) that she had never even heard of. Thinks I am going posh. I blamed the quiche.

pikz baby being a pickle then? We are not allowed to sell them on eBay. People have tried. May have better luck with FB.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/05/2013 10:38

I heard there's a good going rate on gumtree?
