Awe that sucks madam Sad
But you've reminded me...what to do about work! I'm similar situation to det I guess. Due to go bk to work but will have to call in sick Confused work will not be happy. But I have another month before I got to worry about that. Although I need to give them my rtw date ASAP?

YellowWellies · 01/05/2013 07:41

Hurry up velux blinds I want to put my boy in his own room. We seem to have fixed sleep hell by making sure j and my boobs sleep in separate rooms. We've done three nights so I'm going to try to sneak back into my own bed as I miss DH. Wonder if it'll all go Pete Tong if I do or if he's back into routine? Last night was v similar to the previous two 8.30 - 2.30 then 3 - 7.30. Am chuffed with that.

Pikz · 01/05/2013 07:54

Woooohoooo 6.15!!! So much better than last 4 days of 4.45!! Thank fuck

Brew To all those struggling

Evilwater · 01/05/2013 08:01

I'm hoping from the lack of posts everyone got a good sleep.

My cold/ cough has gotten worse and I feel like shit. I'm glad that N is having a better time. It would have been nice to go to padstow, but all I want is to get rid of this thing.

We always have the stairs light on at night for DD1, but last night she was at her dads and I got into bed when it was still bright outside to watch emmerdale on you tube, so I forgot to put it on.

Anyway, DD2 skipped her 11.30 feed and only woke up after I got up around 1.30 to turn the light on for DP coming home.

Bit of a breakthrough. Going to have to invest in a nightlight for DD1s room so DD2 can have darkness!

She has now started making yaya and dada and wawa noises instead of the previous sing songy noises. We all got the benefit of her new trick at 6am. When I looked over she had her little monkey toy held above her head shouting at him :o

Oh GT he wont forget you are his mum. He really wont. (Hit me with your crutches if you like.) But ofcourse you miss cuddles. Maybe when you get home and into bed he can just lie beside you for a bit?

MissMummy1 · 01/05/2013 08:04

9pm till 7am Grin (well 6.30 but I let her serenade me over the monitor for half an hour..)

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 01/05/2013 08:07

Those of you who have moved LO into their own rooms - are you and they sleeping better? Might be time to kick DS out of my room...

YellowWellies · 01/05/2013 08:26

Madam sleeping in different rooms has sorted it for us.

GT I can't imagine being apart from LO for a day - most I've managed is two hours no wonder you miss cuddles. He won't forget you I bet he's missed his Mummy xx

Pikz · 01/05/2013 08:36

Madam it's what started massively better sleep for both of us

Dixiebell · 01/05/2013 08:44

Operatio keep ds1 happy has been in action this morning. We have swimming in an hour. Last week he was a PITA, all 'no mummy, let go of me mummy, don't want to mummy'. Urgh. So trying to keep him in a good mood in hope he'll be more compliant because frankly, paying 9 quid for half an hour's stress in the water is not good investment. And embarrassing. Am I bad mummy to bribe him with chocolate biscuits before 9am? Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 01/05/2013 08:51

I had a night off from feeds last night so need to catch up on Fred....

O sleeping in cot for first nap Shock He has woken a few times, looked at me and gone back to sleep. Am hoping for 20mins but we shall see...

PurplePidjin · 01/05/2013 08:53

Every 1 3/4 hours from 9:30. Was too tired to post. Job interview tonight. Fuck.

ChasingDaisy · 01/05/2013 08:57

He managed 7mins Sad

Am getting him up and will try again at next nap time.

Passmethecrisps · 01/05/2013 08:59

Without a doubt madam.

Poor you GT. I sounds utterly awful. All of it.

Well. We had a lovely day yesterday followed by an interesting evening.

We walked to the toddler group based at the uni campus which is roughly a 5 mile round trip. It was a beautiful day and I think we both enjoyed the change of scene. Toddler group itself was quite nice - very quiet and almost babies.

So then it was bedtime. P did what she does occassionally which was all asleep on the bottle then have a reawakening when being put to bed. She was quite happy but just not sleeping but clearly tired so lots of popping in, dummy, shooshing popping out again. At about 7:45 I sit down with a coffee thinking that she has settled. Just as I lift the coffee to my lips the cat bowls into the room. She was being really weird and I thought she was havig a fit. So I start to get up to see what is wrong when suddenly I have a realisation of what is happening. She has a poo stuck in her bottom. At the same time as I realise this the cat makes a break for the rug. All I can do is watch in horror and she trailes her shitty arse in zigzags across the cream rug. She finally dislodges said shit and settles herself happily for some bottom cleaning.

I am left staring, mouth open and coffee cup still semi-raised to my lips. At this point P cries out and needs some attention.

I end up having to abandon the pootastophe to spend 10 minutes shoosh patting P trying not to giggle.

So. Then I had to deal with the poo. I think "ah well, I was going to clean the rug anyway." I used this vanish stuff which turns wet on contact with the rug. It was awful, noxious stuff which went EVERYWHERE! I then end up trapped in the kitchen while the stuff dries and the cat is sitting outside the sitting room on the stairs like she was on the naughty step.

Then I start the nightmare job of hoovering the stuff up. Every time I moves the Hoover forward this stuff rolled everywhere. I ended up havig to shift all the furniture and Hoover the entire room followed by mopping all the wooden bits of the floor because the damned stuff stuck to it.

I get this finished at 9pm. DH was getting back from a meeting at the back of 9 and I had tea to cook.

Bloody kitty!!

Clarella · 01/05/2013 09:13

lol pass! Grin

Clarella · 01/05/2013 09:19

I didn't fucking didn't sleep mind!!!!

off to sling meet today.

pumping as have fucking kit day on Friday Angry . I'll be gone 7:45-2. thinking 4 feeds will be ok? he'll probably hold out for me a bit (ebf) as we don't do bottles often.

sorry for your rubbish night pidj. it's so wearing. good luck for your interview later

Evilwater · 01/05/2013 09:21

I feel like crap!
Evil

BigPigLittlePig · 01/05/2013 09:39

Pass my cat has a unique dance for those poos. You have my sympathies!

StuntNun · 01/05/2013 09:44

Wowee MM, what a difference! Did you pin it down to an intolerance then?

Chasing I'm sure someone told me that babies go into a light sleep for the first ten minutes then they go into a deeper sleep. So if you hang around for a bit after you put them down then you can shush-pat them, put the dummy in or put your hand on their chest to help them stay asleep.

You took that with good humour Pass I think I would have been in hysterics. Mind you needs must, I was very brave about the dead bird in my dining room this morning. Gizmo clearly thinks toast is inadequate for breakfast and I need a bit of protein in my diet.

Hugs to GT and Evil. Chin up girls.

Oh yes... bollocks (nearly forgot it was Wednesday.)

Passmethecrisps · 01/05/2013 09:54

I surprised myself stunt. Dead birds are a particular delight I don't have to deal with thanks to poo cat being old and indoors. BP she has never done such a thing before. She seemed panic sticken.

Oh! And the bloody stain remover stuff didn't even work! I had to use a different thing and scrub it.

Despite all of this dinner was ready and the table was set for DH coming home. As he walked in he said 'looks lovely and tidy in here'. So small mercies.

Passmethecrisps · 01/05/2013 09:56

MM you must have been doing a dance! In bed obviously!

PP I wanted to say hoorah about the money stuff but I see you had a really shit night. Sorry about that. I hope you get a chance to gather yourself for tonight.

Clarella · 01/05/2013 10:22

thank fuck for female doctors who've been here.

so understanding, trying omeprozole. sobbing but relieved. [phew emoticon]

YellowWellies · 01/05/2013 10:34

Clarella amazing news. The difference in just a day or two is amazing. You can dose 2mg / kg / day - what dose did she prescribe? Jonas is 6.5kg and gets 6ml twice a day and is symptom free most of the time.

ChasingDaisy · 01/05/2013 10:35

Pass you paint such a lovely picture with words!

MM you must be so relieved! You deserve that sleep after all the sleepless nights you had been having. Well done M Smile

Pidj Sad. I'm so sorry you had a rubbish night. Good luck for your interview tonight and woohoo for tax credits!

Kyz you must be exhausted you poor thing. I struggle looking after just me and O. You are a superwoman. Your mum must be very proud of you Smile
