Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ChunkyEasterChick · 01/04/2013 15:07

detective we had 5 nights of sleeping through at 10wks then 1 or 2 wakings every night until Tues night. He always seemed hungry etc so I fed him. At 19wks exactly I started doing dream feeds again & it didn't seem to matter, he still woke, then by the 3rd night, he slept through. Whether he would sleep through anyway, whether it took a couple of nights to get used to the dream feed, whether it was comfort feeding from teething & the amber anklet is working I couldn't say, but after 6 nights of pretty good sleep, I feel like a new woman. I would guess the return-to-work deadline is the issue really for you, cos that sucks. I wouldn't want to go back yet anyway, let alone with your pain. But remember, eventually, babies do sleep...

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 01/04/2013 15:30

No luck here with J sleeping through. Must have been a one off :-(

On plus side DH has gotten DDs jumperoo down from the loft. We would have tried it but he decided he needed feeding to sleep!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/04/2013 15:42

Where is contra ?

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2013 15:45

LO appears to live by the Law of Sod. After days of eating no more than an ounce or two at one sitting and me having to throw out four ounce feeds, I decided that I would make up 2 ounce feeds.

And she has just drunk 3 of these 2 ounce feeds in a row.

Which is great of course that she is eating....

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2013 15:46

Haven't seen her for days. Was she going away for a while over Easter?

ChasingDaisy · 01/04/2013 15:46

I've been wondering/worried about contra too. She didn't say she was going anywhere did she? I know she was having a bit of a tough time.

ChasingDaisy · 01/04/2013 15:58

Izzy he has done it once so he can do it. He WILL do it again.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 01/04/2013 15:59

You know when you're changing a nappy and you swap the old nappy for a clean one, but they wee as you change it and soak everything, you clean it up and then they shoot bright yellow poo all over the change mat, so you clean that up, then they shoot more bright yellow poo everywhere again and then puke so they're laying in a puddle of poo and sick... Yeah, that.

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 16:07

Chasing O did it once. Please say he will do it again too!

Contra Come out and play!

DP is trying to get O to roll over. He hasn't done it again since the first day he did it! He's going to O, come on, you've done it before, you can do it again.

My response? Yeah, well he slept through once, he hasn't fucking done that again has he?!

I think I need chocolate. Had a shag. That hasn't lifted my mood!

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 16:08

The law of sod indeed PR. O does this to me. All the freakin' time!

Me and DP are talking about our next baby.

And thinking of names.

So we don't have baby no name for 5 days Grin.

We still have 3 years to think about it! Wink

fruitpastilles · 01/04/2013 16:14

Glad LO is eating pr

My little lazy bones has been asleep since 2pm, she never naps this long in the afternoon, this means trouble tonight doesn't it?

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2013 16:27

LO will be 24 weeks on Friday. Has rolled twice. Once at paed's office a few weeks ago. Second time today at a&e. She needs someone to go after her with a stethoscope to roll :o

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 16:34

She just wants to escape. Can't say I blame her. Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2013 16:52

Me neither :o

MissMummy1 · 01/04/2013 16:56

My hips are broken. We walked 15+ miles over the weekend. Not much in the grand scheme but most of that was uphill. I am broken! Grin

Things going better with DP. We have made a real effort to be civil to each other the past few days and it is obvious he is trying. I can almost remember why I tolerate him Blush . Time will tell but he knows this is his final final chance not to fuck things up if he wants to keep our family together.

I wont lie and say I have caught up. I haven't. Blush

Chasing how are things?

Hi GT. How are you keeping? Have you had your first scan yet?? Have you told anyone in RL yet?! I still think you are nuts!!

PR hope DD is on the mend.

DP said to SIL yesterday: "Yeah, we are going to start trying for another when M is 3" - I was a bit like Shock Shock Shock "When did WE decide this?!?" Hmm

MissMummy1 · 01/04/2013 16:57

Oh and we have given up on the cot for now. Going to cosleep for another week to get our sleep reserves up then start again.

Yes, we probably are creating a rod for our backs. BUT I will choose her doing 6 hours in our bed over 30mins in her own every night.

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 17:02

I am sat here, and just realised. For babies conceived today, April Fools day. Their EDD (if 28 day cycle) would be 25/12. Ironic.

PurplePidjin · 01/04/2013 17:10

2 nights of the shittiest of shit sleep. At MILs so she got judgemental disturbed. And shitty phone battery barely lasting the night. Thank fuck I'm home!

According to the Old Wives MIL he's too young for teething. So the dribbling, chewing, grumping, clinging and positive response to calgel are me making it up then? What about the red rash on his left cheek? Hmm

I know nuzzinks...

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2013 17:25

Detective you just realised? Nothing to do with shagging today and wondering what if?

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 17:28

Nope. Nothing at all to do with the seemingly relentless shagging that is happening round here.

We actually had to go and buy condoms ffs, I get them for free from the GP grrrr!

Grin
TheDetective · 01/04/2013 17:28

But, I am fast at EDDing in my head. It's the midwife in me. 9, plus 7. Ingrained!

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 17:39

I am sat here, thinking about all the shite this government are bringing in.

And wondering what this country is about to become.

I am quite fearful. Fearful for my own, but mostly, my childrens future. Most of the changes will make no difference to me right now. But in the future, they could.

I dread the day we may ever need state assistance. I really do.

TheDetective · 01/04/2013 17:40

Universal credit, and legal aid being the biggest two at the moment.

Along with what is happening in the NHS. And the GPs commissioning services.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2013 17:50

Ah yes, the April Fools shag, and Chriatmas day baby. Totally not what happened here 1 year ago tried 3 different websites before accepting that Christmas eve/day was EDD
