I am 3kg under the weight I was when I fell pregnant with LO but still have another few to lose if ever I were to fit back into my pre marriage clothes. When I lived in Paris I played squash, and ran, and walked alot, and was so stressed in my relationship with my ex that I was 45kg and a size 6. I don't want to go down to that again, but my ideal weight is about 53kg, and I am currently 57kg. With 2 c sections and the stomach surgery my abs are in rags though and I don't think i will ever get my flat tummy back again. It wibbles.

The Vienetta won't help, and neither will slobbing on the sofa half the day. i tell myself that with all the scars and stretch marks I can't aim for bikini wear again, but I would like to clench my abs and have my tummy actually move in response, but it doesn't. Thing is I can't do much to help them other than keep clenching because during pregnancy I got a hernia and there is no way I want that to come back - so no weights or anything like that. And with my back a lot of hard sport is also out of the question.

I guess I need to go back to yoga or something like that to try and tone the tum a ltitle.

Hello all, especially lurkers.

We had a bad night...again! Up at 1.50am, 2.30am, 4.10am and 6.50am! Not impressed and completely knackered mummy now! Decorator here bright and early and I am MNing lying in bed. Even though I was told to sleep yesterday when he was in I just can't. Seems wrong! I'm hoping he finishes earlier than I'm expecting and that I can maybe grab an hours kip before collecting the munchkins! No one need know what time he actually finishes?!?

Morning all Grin

The magical properties of the dummy are confirmed in the laughalot household! She slept 9.30-2.00-7.00!!!!!! Holy moly!! After 6 nights of 2hr sleeps this is amazing. I have no idea if we've had one lucky night and it'll all go to pot again tonight but this morning I am truly thankful!

I am, however, wondering if my daughter will grow up learning about the mythical object in the sky that is known as the sun which hasn't been seen for decades...

PP when do you hear about your job?

Oh and kyz there is nothing shallow about it. My body has been wrecked. My once fabulous norks are completely empty and my once flat stomach can be grabbed in great lumps. Mostly I don't care but somedays it really gets me down. I haven't gone clothes shopping - don't dare.

Morning all, especially the lurkers ruby, sheep and yoko.

We haven't hit the sleep regression yet so I'm expecting it this weekend, b is 15 weeks.

We've got the jelly cat rabbit too stunt, we also got it in white with a blanky attached. I've just had a break through, B was rubbing her eyes so instead of Swaddling I gave her the blanky jelly cat and her dummy and she went straight to sleep! She may now be out of swaddles before her first birthday, yay!

DS slept ok, woke for feed at about 1.30 which was earlier than usual but then accepted the dummy on waking at 4-something & 5-something, but was up at 6.15.

He sleeps pretty well most nights, with usually only a brief feed. He doesn't wake for hours, or for a chat at 3am etc and last night I checked he was hungry by offering a dummy & then a cuddle, but he rooted around, so was hungry. But I can't understand why he still needs a feed!! DD was half his size & went longer at night by this age... She was also in her own room so maybe that would help? I can't really complain too much as he does self-settle etc. And he has sped-up with day feeds massively; so he's either getting efficient or making up for it at night. And he still can't roll, so there's not the obvious 'mental leap' thing.

DD has been having her own sleep regression. She is 3 in 1mth (yesterday to be precise). She has woken up about 50% of the nights since we were on hols. This is v strange. She normally sleeps v well.

Think DS is teething. He has been chewing everything in sight & getting really grumpy, which is unusual for him.

Haven't caught up properly, but noticed some mention of the ITV HB prog. I know the Mum from last night in RL. Not a friend, just someone I knew from work through another colleague.

DH should be off work today but isn't due to his interview. We should be curtain & carpet shopping for DS's room. He may be a yr old before the room is done at this rate...

CBA to do anything today now but feel a bit :( about staying in & doing housework all day. Esp with a grumpy baby & a potty training toddler (she's getting pretty good but I haven't risked going to 'normal' places yet, just family, toddler grps etc), its all a bit like hard work.

Won't say anything about my virginity. Not romantic or special in any way, & all a bit young. Blush

For cake baking I shove all the ingredients in the food processor and whisk in there, shove in tins and into oven. Luckily DD1 loves being in the kitchen and 'helping' even if I am preparing something that takes ages. I just have to make sure i don't trip over her or spill something on her, and she wants to be picked up every few minutes to see what I am doing and have it explained. LO either comes and watches too from her pram or is asleep.

DD1 got some cookie cutters for her birthday so I haveto buy a rolling pin now so we can make biscuits. It's one of the things which I hope will pass a rainy morning when she is home full time with me after easter.

Morning ladies, not a bad night here. 2 wake ups for a feed, just hope there will be less screaming today, not sure I can take another day lik yesterday

Kyz I am in exactly same position as you, but hey it's only 4 months since we gave birth. My body also holds onto weight til I stop feeding cat, took me 2 years to get back to pre pg size with dd1, then I got pg again!

Lost my cherry at 18 with boyfriend who was about 22. It was rubbish

I love baking but never get to do any with DD1 as LO usually screams the place down if I put her in her bouncer or buggy to watch us.

Speaking of screaming...

Thanks all, am both glad I'm not the only one feeling like this but equally upset that some of you feel pants too! I'm sure we'll all get there. I'm wondering how long I can survive on coffee for. Of which I have had none this morning but LO is dozing so you never know, I might get lucky.

Thanks for the tips on baking, I shall work out how to set a timer and I'll see if I can give it a go at some point!

The losing of my cherry was at rather a young age and wasn't really very special so I'll leave it at that Blush

Morning pass!

Baking with a toddler was one of the idyllic images I had a about motherhood when I was pregnant, can't wait to teach O how to bake.

Lily thank you for your advice about increasing the amount of milk I was offering per feed. He was averaging 4oz out of a 5oz bottle, but now I have upped it to 6oz he is drinking on average an ounce more per feed. I'm hoping this is the first step to him feeding enough in the day so that he can sleep longer at night.

Hi all lurkers and welcome Smile

We have a lovely video of dsd enthusiastically washing up after a baking session when she had just turned 3. She loves baking, and helping me cook - her job is always cutting mushrooms (soft therefore use blunt knife). Making strawberry jam was fun too, she squished all the strawberries by hand and got very messy.

Am currently browsing for cars on gumtree - peugeot 206, experiences please? Cannot believe insurance for a 1.4L, 10 year old car is as much as for my 1.6L sports model, 3 year old golf. Strange.

Lost mine at 18 in a set in Magdalen college after I matriculated to uni. Def not to my husband!!!! V glad to have found him now but have also v much enjoyed finding out who was and wasn't the one for me.

Stunt I hear you on the tea and choc. There is no fake milk that tastes OK in tea so I'm drinking chamomile at the mo. I figure 7 hours a night is a fair trade as I'm shit without sleep.

My body won't give up the weight until I stop feeding either. I am the same weight all the time no matter what I eat so I figure there's no point in dieting yet. Glad it's not just me, I don't think DH believes me and it is just an excuse to be a fatty.

Mornin all.

Well we had a miracle last night. After discussing possible new approaches to bedtime to break the cycle, DH joked to L that if he wanted to keep staying up late with the grown ups he'd better sleep well tonight. Fed him at 9.30, he was asleep at 10, next thing I knew it was 3am! I remember him waking briefly at some point earlier but dummy and hand hold sent him straight off again. But that is better than we have had for weeks and weeks. Keep it up L! although please do some work on the rest of the night too instead of waking every 15 minutes

Virginity was lost aged 17 to v naice first bf. We were still in touch until a couple of years ago when he said he couldn't cope with being friends... Yes I am that good.

Welcome lurkers. Am I the only one who pictures posters as representative of their usernames? Even if I've seen a real pic. So Yoko I hope you really are Japanese and Sheep I have a good image of Ewan with an iPad. Btw Glenda I always picture you wearing a pointy hat and Stunt... Well whaddaya think.

I feel really shit about my appearance atm. Was overweight before pgy (I was size 8 a few years ago, then had terrible depression and woke up a size 18); only put on a stone while pg but am now heavier than that. Dairy free diet doesn't seem to have the same effect as on some of you! might be the flapjacks

Is it too late to put my hand up and say I've been lurking? DD2 will be 19 weeks tomorrow...

Full on 4 month sleep regression happening here and lots of green poo (and changes of clothes) but no other signs of illness so negligently ignoring and putting down to teething

Hey jakecat welcome to the quiche

jj glad you had a better night! Must get used to name change!

Waiting for LO to wake up for food. Bound to be soon!

I started giving him a bit of food, he had some banana for 3 days and yesterday a bit of sweet potato. Think he liked the banana but I don't know. He just doesn't seem as fussed as I thought he would be. He watches us eat and never spits food back out (I give him like 2 little spoons, that's it). I tried giving it halfway through his bottle yesterday and he was a buggwr with the second half of his bottle, but I don't want to encourage that because milk is so important and I just started giving it to him as little tastes. 2 tiny spoons can't count for much surely and wouldn't have filled him up! Is there a better time to offer it? I don't know if he is just not ready, or if he is just not hungry enough. I wonder if backing off for a bit is the best idea. I know it's early anyway so it doesn't matter to me, I just thought as he has most of the signs of wanting solids that he might, but he pays little attention when I offer them, and pulls a funny face!
