fruit yes you do, but I think only what work contribute, not SMP. It is usually 3 months you need to go back for. Request part time and use AL to cover it? Go sick? Move house?

Passmethecrisps · 14/03/2013 17:32

Sorry. Can't help fruit. I am sure someone will have a clue though.

Well I went out to buy P a captain calamari after her clearly converting mm's M's one. She looked massively unimpressed sadly.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/03/2013 17:36

mm I think the Cmax. I have a friend who is quite senior at jag/ford and previously Another luxary car manufacturer and she always says go for what car manufacturers do well and Ford are a family car manufacturer and that is what they are good at. Sounds like a sensible opinion to me. She actually had an SMax for ages and loved it.

ValiumQueen · 14/03/2013 17:37

izzy I think James will be sleeping better because he has more room, is not disturbed by parents noises, but mostly because he cannot smell food or see food. If we were asleep next to dime bar cake, or whatever your favourite is, then it would be oh so tempting to have a wee taste, especially if that came with a warm soft loving snuggle with your most favourite person.

When I worked nights in the Prison in the winter I would open the air vents so if anyone was prepared to get out of their warm bed to press their buzzer, I knew they had a good reason to do so, otherwise they would think fuck it and roll over. Babies are very similar.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/03/2013 17:37

fruit like vq says, but check the time you have to go back for, my company it's a year or you payback. On a pro rate basis.

Contradictionincarnate · 14/03/2013 17:38

pass I LOVE captain calamari! mines called jacquetta after famous female pirate for a while I liked her much more than dd!

rootypig · 14/03/2013 17:39

hello quiche

Pass and Izzy Thanks for your broken fanjos. mine is not broken any more but is defo still in shock, it sends its sympathies. Izz good luck with surgery and Pass, get thee to a doctor asap! broken fanjos get worse if not fixed. fwiw I find sexual health clinic doctors better than GPs for all issues fanjo. but then I seem to have had shite GPs the last one gave me a prescription for more than the max daily dose of my arthritis painkillers, the numpty

Sweet I use Aveeno daily (body) moisturiser on S, it's so light I just use it as a moisturiser all over her, including scalp, no washing off. I don't particularly try to get rid of the flakes, she has so little hair as it is! oh and Pass DH has eczema and LO has dry skin so am somewhat versed in these things - I would just avoid all detergents tbh, they don't need them at this age anyway. for stubborn eczema you need a good all purpose emollient cream - you can add that to their bath if need be. Epaderm is great (on prescription). But I imagine cutting out the Cussons and using something like E45 or Aveeno lotion will clear up LO's skin soon enough. Or a vegetable oil (not nut): sunflower, grapeseed, olive all good.

I am thankful for the sunny day we've had here today. I am thankful for my sweet and healthy baby girl. I am thankful that we have everything that we need to live, and more. I am thankful for DH's renewed effort to engage with our marriage.

S is coming up to 19 weeks on Thursday and has been a bit of a grumpy git for a few days - much more difficult to settle for her naps than usual, and to settle back in the night, wanting to be held, fussing at the breast. Just thought to check the wonder weeks website and there it is - between 18 and 20 weeks they are discovering events Hmm. I don't see why this involves un-discovering events she had previously worked out, like going the fuck to sleep, hey ho

ValiumQueen · 14/03/2013 17:41

contra somewhat concerned you like a toy more than you like your DD?

ValiumQueen · 14/03/2013 17:45

On second thoughts, there are times I prefer Ewan to the squealing little toad next to it Grin

rootypig · 14/03/2013 17:52

oh YW I wanted to send Thanks for your mother's anniversary - and the news of your dad. hugs.

sweetpea1112 · 14/03/2013 17:58

Just trying to catch up after spending two sodding hours convincing Oscar that yes, sleep is a very good thing, especially when you are screaming in my ear that you are overtired.

VQ you were a bad ass prison person (warden?). Ha at comparing babies to prisoners.

Thanks for aveeno advice. Have bought the cream, not lotion so think I will need to wash off. Don't use anything in his bath and his body seems fine luckily. Just his poor face and scalp which are very dry. Can't wait for warmer weather and no central heating. Really think I would try and avoid a winter baby in future.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/03/2013 17:58

Woo two more episodes of Dexter on tonight. Comic Relief tomorrow night, then the last Twilight and new episodes of Greys and the Following at the weekend. Along with a trip to Germany to buy nappies, wipes and Nuks.

My life is so freaking exciting.

Contradictionincarnate · 14/03/2013 17:59

Opps I meant I liked the captain calamari more than dd liked the captain Calamari!!!

justonemorecake · 14/03/2013 18:00

horsey I have not heard of children being at risk from strawberry/tomato allergies, but I am allergic to both myself so will probably avoid them for a while. My mum did tell me that strawberries give babies sore bottoms but I don't know if that's true!

I am thankful that my dh tries his best to help out/ be supportive, even if he doesn't always get it quite right. I'm thankful he is always willing to do anything for E and wants to be the best dad he can be.

I had a lovely meal out with friends last night. I was really nervous before I went, but E was very well behaved, even if she did want feeding just as my food came!

I'm glad you had a much better night izzy; it gives me hope that things might eventually improve with E's sleep! I hope you get a repeat again tonight.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/03/2013 18:00

Every early evening LO has cried and screamed like a banshee for about an hour before I cave and shove a paracetamol up her bum. Third night in a row, starting bang on at 6.

Any ideas? I've got all the wind out of her that I can, she did have occasional colic between about 5 and 10 weeks old. We have had a couple of days off weaning since Monday as I wanted to get the cold out of the way, so it's not new foods in her little tummy...

Contradictionincarnate · 14/03/2013 18:01

pr I'm excited about comic relief too dd has little giraffe t-shirt!
I will have to watch it a lil behind though to forward through the videos else I will just be crying all night!!!

sweetpea1112 · 14/03/2013 18:01

Strawberry allergies - I am allergic. Will be avoiding with O until he is older just in case.

fruitpastilles · 14/03/2013 18:02

Thank you! I thought as much, luckily for me, what my company adds to smp is pittance, think I'll owe them about £1500 in total Hmm
I shall have to speak to them nearer the time about it.

ShellyBobbs · 14/03/2013 18:07

Comic Relief last year. I was in bed with that pregnancy exhaustion that kicks your arse. This year I'll probably be in bed with the baby that exhausts me and kicks my arse Grin like fuck I will.

ShellyBobbs · 14/03/2013 18:08

Detective, how Is the lovely Oscar getting on today?

Contradictionincarnate · 14/03/2013 18:12

how awful to be allergic to strawberries ...
think I read somewhere not to try them or tomatoes til much older!
my first boyfriend tried a strawberry the first time when I brought them to a "romantic" picnic! He was 18 and had never even ate one!!

sweetpea1112 · 14/03/2013 18:14

contra its fine, I don't know what I'm missing out on as I haven't eaten them since I was tiny. Might have grown out of the allergy, but not fussed about finding out.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 14/03/2013 18:15

I am thankful for calpol, for a DH who truly loves me and who jumps through the many, many hoops I lay out for him, and for this supportive quiche who are so lovely to each other.

justonemorecake · 14/03/2013 18:20

sweetpea my strawberry allergy was originally quite mild so I kept eating them because I liked them so much. My allergy gradually got worse and worse, and now I definitely can't eat them at all! It is a shame. I really miss them in the summer months.

ValiumQueen · 14/03/2013 18:22

sweetpea nurse trained prison officer. Long time ago now. I was size 10, a mega fit fucker, shaved head, pierced tongue. Fucking hard. Grin
