Det we find splitting the dose and giving at 9am and 6pm works best for us as it doesn't last 24 hours in the stomach. Doc said this was a great idea and a bit embarrassed he'd not thought of it Envy Jonas used to get v sore and crabby in the last few hours before his daily dose. He's much happier now.

Catbag · 08/03/2013 10:56

Oooo! That would be awesome! I'm in Leyburn, about 1hr 20 from BLS. We leave on the Friday, but I will be around before then :)

StuntNun · 08/03/2013 11:10

Nuk dummy users - do you have the genius, happy days or Winnie the Pooh soothers? Or doesn't it matter?

Lilliana · 08/03/2013 11:13

Only just caught up and can't remember what I wanted to say except madam I'm in N Devon. Not sure how far SW the rest of you are but will need a socially awkward badge and will either spout gibberish or sit silently so might not be the best meet up partner!

BigPigLittlePig · 08/03/2013 11:19

liliana us sou'westerners are in Exeter, Taunton and Plymouth. Where are you?

Just had a culinary disaster. Tomatoes, onion and mushrooms in a blender, blender leaked, sprayed across me and the room. Oh and did I mention they were hot tomatoes? Angry

applepieinthesky · 08/03/2013 11:32

Seems like I'm nowhere near any of you. Trust me to be the odd one out. Anyone in East Anglia? No..?

DP has ventured to the shops. Alone. To get my Mother's Day present Hmm

We are taking DS to the doctors this afternoon because I am worried he may have a chest infection and I want him checked over. Poor little boy hasn't had a good month with his stomach bug, diarrhoea, lactose intolerance and now this. On a positive note he slept from 9 until 5.30 this morning. Progress finally.

cat that doesn't sound good. Are you going to get someone to check it for you?

WallinoMio · 08/03/2013 11:44

Ooh I live in Italy but am originally from Plymouth and will be there over Easter retreats back to dark corner and continued lurking quietly

sweetpea1112 · 08/03/2013 11:44

apple I am in Northants so just to the west of east anglia (we get Anglia tv!) How far easy are you?

sweetpea1112 · 08/03/2013 11:44

Ha east not easy! Grin Blush

Update on life in general then I will catch up with thread

Re - Red Cheek

Oliver's red cheek calmed down as did his temp. I had thought I was going to get his jabs yest at the drs anyway so would check if they thought it was anything to worry about. But the jabs got cancelled and he perked up. Probably best they were cancelled though. He still has bumpy skin on that cheek but I am Aveenoing like mad.

Re - wanktastic Mirena

Dr is phoning me today to talk about it after I burst into tears when they cancelled my appointment yesterday. However, haven't really been bleeding since yesterday morning. Grin Please please please let this be the end of it. Not counting eggs though

Re - baby groups general chat

I went to a "siblings group" this morning for the first time at the Children's centre. It was fab. DS1 loved it and I managed to feed O between hauling DS1 out of bottomless ball pit. Gritted my teeth to talk to people, using advice from you lot...." How old is your snot faced child" and found two women who live round the corner from me. One of which knew DS1 from football on a Saturday. ( DH takes him) so feel nice about that.

Re - Little Oliver growing up too fast

His first nursery trial this afternoon. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Excited and nervous.

Right will have lunch and catch up on rest of thread.

Horsey www.equineadverts.co.uk/-1/24/126/67065_Renault_Master_3_5T_Van_Conversion_.html

Garden Best get that checked out - hope its not too sore.

misslaugh Hope you are feeling better soon.

Stunt that sounds like a good plan I might steal it

kirrinIsland · 08/03/2013 12:03

oops horsey - try again!

kirrinIsland · 08/03/2013 12:04

Really won't be offended if its not what you are looking for - no need to let me down gently!!

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 12:05

cat I will be definitely going over that way during my trip. I love that area and there's great dog walking and dog friendly pubs nearby for yummy lunches.

Stunt I don't know if it matters. Ours are just basic dummies but with transparent teats not the yellowy brown ones (no particular reason just I prefer the transparent ones they look cleaner :o )

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 12:08

LO after her miserable afternoon yesterday calmed down for the evening after a dose of paracetamol and a good sleep. In fab mood this morning but eating masses. Gowth spurt. She was up and wanting milk during the night too. Looks like regression isn't over yet.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 12:09

Isn't there a market in Leyburn? There used to be and it had a good reputation.

Contradictionincarnate · 08/03/2013 12:42

miss re dizziness could be start of a virus but as it was still happening when you lay down could be labrynthitis ... can be caused by water going into your ear!
I have had it a few times you can get a prescription that will relieve it ...
else docs advice would prob be to lie down - as if!!
hope it stops soon!

ValiumQueen · 08/03/2013 12:53

Welcome back cat missed you! I have spent many a day in Leyburn. Used to camp near there a lot. We will be camping at Hawes (snigger) in the summer.

garden best get that checked. Ouch much!

ValiumQueen · 08/03/2013 12:53

miss do you need to POAS?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 08/03/2013 12:54

kirrin have read about ?Mirena induced spottiness when I have been trawling the family planning threads in search of The Answer

PR shoot me down if you want but, during yesterday's "return from a week away + ironing marathon" I watched SuperNanny. Yes. I know, but the other options were shit and my planner is full of Thomas, Chuggington and Mr Maker. (I may well have finally persuaded DH we need a smart tv for the new house wahayy) Anyway she was doing her old stay in bed technique and though hard work for a few nights it did seem to work with the kids, who would previously migrate to the parents bed in the early hours of the morning. Just a thought Anway. Reruns of SuperNanny are plentiful on the of the further down this list channels, Nome and Health or something.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 08/03/2013 12:56

Second day of ironing marathon about to commence. Perhaps I should have got sponsors!

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 13:06

I love Hawes. There's a great pub there which does amazing steak pies.

I was watching her on This Mrning yesterday and quite liked some of what she had to say. I'm workig towards her second birthday being a big milestone. She will get bigger rewards and bigger responsibilities. Will work through all and any methods to get her to go the fuck to sleep.

glendathefedupwitch · 08/03/2013 13:11

Might get to Salisbury by lunchtime tomorrow at this rate - Dottie is being Velcro baby so the piled of ironing are not doing themselves no matter how much I twitch my nose at them!!! I get soooooo stressed when we're going away cos I'm the only bloody person who has to checklist everything from chargers to toiletries to shoes to bottles.... Omfg roll on tomorrow when we're there and it's tough shit if I've forgotten anything!!!

ValiumQueen · 08/03/2013 13:26

We did rapid return, well, DH did as I had a broken leg.

The cheese factory at Hawes does a cheesecake to die for! We have to limit ourselves to one visit a day. There is a tasting room and we come out looking like hamsters.

BigPigLittlePig · 08/03/2013 13:30

I love supernanny Blush
I love to gape open-mouthed at some of the little shits darlings
I love how she makes it better realise there is some editing involved
I love how it makes me feel not quite so bad about my own parenting Grin

She does have some good solid principles though, I make a conscious effort to reward good behaviour lots, rather than slate bad behaviour. And poor dsd will never win any stand offs because I am very stubborn!
