kissyfur · 03/03/2013 08:19

Bryzoan so sorry to hear that. Can't believe they are making you wait until June! How worrying for you all, sending hugs and Thanks

PR fingers crossed DD1 did just over indulge then, think you've definitely had more than your fair share of nasty bugs!

Eliza glad to hear all is going well with e and the feeding tube, thinking of you

Managed an hour and a half out with my best friend last night, had half a drink but then it made me feel a bit funny so I switched to apple juice, rock n roll! Wink

horseylady · 03/03/2013 08:32

pr hope you're all ok!!

bry and eliza hugs to you both. Hope you both get answers soon.

sophia yay for houses etc.

Ds passport arrived yesterday!!! So we can go away!! Yay yay yay just need to figure out food for him now!!

Am hoping he's coming out the other side with sleep. Must say I had taken the same approach as pr without even speaking to her!!! Well see anyway.

Oh he's scratched his head really badly :( put mittens on him last night!! Not sure what else to do?

ValiumQueen · 03/03/2013 08:32

Every. Two. Hours. Not. Funny. However, he needed minimal settling and fed quickly, and woke with a smile. Still not funny though.

The girls have been told off because they were colouring with sharpies and are covered, as is the table. I blame Daddy for leaving them unsupervised. At least it was not the walls or kitchen cupboards.

I am guessing we are in the 4 month sleep regression.

bry as you say, the diagnosis will not change your little beauty at all. If anything it will help (once the initial pain and shock of the diagnosis is passed) as you will have more information, and therefore more help, and know how best to help her. You mentioned physical problems that can be linked, so can explore them, so already the diagnosis is helping. I cannot imagine what it is like to have a child who has such challenges, but she sounds like an utterly delightful little character, and you sound like a wonderful mummy x I know money means little, but maybe it will be easier to get extra financial support too, now there is a diagnosis, so you will be better able to enable her to reach her full potential, and easier access to therapies and services.

ChunkyChicken · 03/03/2013 08:35

Have been awake since 5 at least, but not because of either DC Angry

Bry waiting until June sucks, but at least a diagnosis might help with putting things in place to support your DD & help her development.

kissy rock n roll indeed!!

Sophia sounds wonderful. Well Envy

PR fc it was a one-off.

The spam-bots are going mad this morning!!

StuntNun · 03/03/2013 08:52

Oh no VQ, I got Skyfall yesterday. Is it rubbish?

Well done on the good sleep mini Lil!

Sorry to hear your news Bry. IME the diagnosis is the hardest part. Once you have a diagnosis it makes you look back and realise how many things were due to the condition. My DS1 has multiple issues and they're so easy to spot with hindsight but at the time we couldn't work out what was going on and why he wasn't the same as his peers. But after you get past that stage then you just start getting on with it. Try and get as much help as you can and there will be a support group if you do get the diagnosis. It is tough but definitely better knowing than the uncertainty that goes before.

stunt I am sure it is a superb example of bond films, but I do not like bond films. I am sure you will love it.

bry my brother got his diagnosis of Aspergers last year, age 48, and even at that late stage it is helping so much. He is having therapies and support, and his past makes sense. It is a really good thing your DD is going to be getting appropriate help so early.

ValiumQueen · 03/03/2013 08:59

Fucking spammers! Do they really think this will get more people watching?

PetiteRaleuse · 03/03/2013 09:06

I ordered Skyfall yesterday. I usually hate Bond, except Casino Royale. Hope it's good I never buy DVDs normally just rent online.

Bryzoan · 03/03/2013 09:06

Thanks all - especially vq and stunt. Just what I needed to hear. We get dla for her already - thanks to our wonderful portage service which told us to apply. That goes on speech therapy but we're going to get her more Speech therapy and some occupational therapy now too.. The diagnosis will help us get more nhs support I think if it comes - but it is still like being hit by a bus. Stunt - you are so right about things falling into place - there are so many little things and idiosyncrasies that are now much clearer - in particular some sensory issues. It is good to have another lense to see them through - I think now regardless of final diagnosis my eyes have been opened a bit more in terms of what we need to do to help her.

Lovely, kind, understanding, supportive and expert quiche - thank you!

Pikz · 03/03/2013 09:21

Big hugs Bry and Eliza fingers crossed for you both very soon find resolution.

LO is regressing sleep wise. 7.40-11.30 then 3,4,5 and up at 6. Am hanging.

PurplePidjin · 03/03/2013 10:14

Bry the SN section here is amazing, i thoroughly recommend posting there for support - there's bound to be someone around who's been through similar and can advise

7-1, 2-4:15 then up for the day Angry

ChunkyChicken · 03/03/2013 10:20

I really enjoyed Skyfall stunt & PR. I hate Roger Moore Bond films. He is too, too creepy & sleezy to enjoy but then those films are 'of their time' I suppose. I enjoined Dalton (shame he didn't do more) & some of Brosnan's films if you could delete Terri Hatcher from the movies. Daniel Craig is excellent but the 1st 2 were too much of a pair, & a bit much if you're not a die-hard Bond fan to follow easily, so this one, as a bit of a stand-alone plot is excellent. Although the bad guy's blond hair is a bit rubbish!!

ValiumQueen · 03/03/2013 10:30

I cannot forgive them for what they did to that beautiful car. I think that is why I did not enjoy it.

Nightmare morning. After being woken every two hours DS and I got up at 8. He woke smiling then about an hour ago started screaming. Fucking wind! DD2 trying to kill herself by jumping off sofas and running into walls, DD1 egging her on, DH making pancakes amid the screaming. I am trying to settle an over-tired baby and have said I am taking an hour off. I am on strike. My name is not mummy. My head feels like it will explode!

horseylady · 03/03/2013 10:31

bry big hugs. You sound very strong!!

vq oh no :(

Spammers??!

Donnadoon · 03/03/2013 10:40

Horsey we were invaded last night for instance have a look on page 2 and 3 of AIBU

ValiumQueen · 03/03/2013 10:42

There were thousands of threads about live sport streaming overnight. They seem to have gone thank fuck.

Passmethecrisps · 03/03/2013 10:43

Alright womens?

I wanted to add my voice bry to all those already. You sound like you have a great attitude. A diagnosis can often be the final piece of the jigsaw.

Glad to hear that DD1 is not bug-laden PR.

Busy times here in the crisp household. We had people for lunch yesterday. They left at 9pm! Was lovely to have company and they were great fun but I was knackered. I thought when I said it was P's bath and bed time that they would go but no! Anyway - p had a lovely time and slept like a log.

ValiumQueen · 03/03/2013 10:53

pass clearly you are too good a hostess!

misslaughalot · 03/03/2013 10:55

Hmmm, up every 1.5 hours to feed for the past 2 nights...sounds like there's a lot of us in the same position. Am exhausted Sad babylaughalot is only 13 weeks though (would have been 15 weeks tomorrow if she'd come on her due date) so we're early for the 4 month sleep regression although I'm secretly hoping this is it!

sweetpea1112 · 03/03/2013 11:13

Morning all Smile

PR I am glad to hear that your DD appears to not be bug-ridden, your family have had enough to last a lifetime.

VQ and everyone else with more than one child, you sound like a superwoman I am in awe. I hope you manage to get at least an hour off. Considers keeping O as an only child. More than one sounds very very hard

Not too bad sleep wise last night, 5hrs 20, 2.5 hours, 2.5 hours.

Obviously now trying to analyse everything that happened yesterday to work out what caused the long first stint. Am thinking possibly the busy day with lots of stimulation, but more likely the lack of early evening nap. He usually has four naps a day, morning, lunch, afternoon and evening, followed by bed at 7:30. Yesterday he skipped the evening nap (not through our choice, just couldn't convince him to sleep) and he had the long stretch so going to try and replicate that today and see what happens....

Kyzordz · 03/03/2013 11:17

Morning all :) is today sunshine Sunday then if yesterday was silly saturday? Can't remember who's idea it was but I think it was a day to post what we've achieved in the week and I thought it a lovely idea :)

Sorry to those who had crap nights, thought we were in for one but only one waking between 8pm and 7am, excluding dream feed.

bryz I think a diagnosis just means you know where you're at :) my little brother has SN and whilst not the same it helps us to understand him and his needs. Hasn't changed him, and your dd is still your lovely dd, just helps with understanding :)

mm1 how is m now? Bless her sounds like a nasty reaction but hopefully another cream will suit her.

FC it was a one off pr you do not need any more bugs at all, you've had your fair share and more!

Scratch mitts or socks horsey Eric is still sleeping with them on as he scratches his face even with cut nails

Dp is away for a week from tomorrow. Eek.

Forgot what else

glendathefedupwitch · 03/03/2013 11:41

bryzoan nothing new to add as I think what vq said was perfect!! Hugs to you and your family xx

Not keen on Daniel Craig as bond but skyfall is a good film if you ignore the blatant storyline theft from episodes of spooks

Any good films anyone has watched recently? Life of Pi was good, as was twilight bd part deux. We've got the impossible to watch ut know it'll be a total blubfest and depress me for days so saving it.

I have had it with my two disrespectful stepsons - locked myself away in my bedroom so I don't have to put up with them ignoring my house rules!!!

Cuddles with Dottie are making me feel better and she's started having a conversation with me while she has a mouthful of boob - cracks us both up -I love my girls!!!!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 03/03/2013 12:09

DH let me go back to sleep til 11:30 and took dd and ds downstairs.

I feel human again and I'm just out of the shower. Now for mammoth task of drying my stupidly long hair then doing my face and finding something suitable to wear. What I'm meant to wear to an alcoholic afternoon tea beats me, apparently the cocktails are served in teacups! I'm feeling better now and looking forward to going out. There's lots of expressed milk in the fridge!

ValiumQueen · 03/03/2013 12:13

J did not settle. I did not get my break. I am thoroughly pissed off. I have achieved fuck all this week except not throttling the little sods! I love them dearly but boy they can drive me insane! J appears to be teething according to DH. Clearly I know nothing.

Kyzordz · 03/03/2013 12:41

Sounds like a thoroughly shitty morning vq hugs. Men do not like to listen at all and are always right. Golden man rules methinks!
