I just woke LO. She was up at 7 for her usual breakfast feed but has been asleep ever since. I love my baby.

Help! J has hit 4 months and turned into a velcro baby, he'll sleep, if he's on me, he'll not cry ... if he's on me.

He hates slings and apparently everything outside the realms of my arms.

I'm getting quite down feeling pinned to the sofa all day in fear of waking him or having him scream the place down.

He has got quite a lot of spots round his chin I am wondering if the hormones from the Cerazette i'm on are crossing to him and making him feel as bad a s I do? They said a tiny bit passes through but not enough to matter, is this true?

ChunkyChicken · 22/02/2013 11:02

As above ^^ contra :)

Does the sleep regression thing cause a grumpy baby? He's just 'shouting' a lot, not crying. Didn't want a feed an hr ago, despite not having a proper feed for hours. He's been grumping since :( He hadn't been awake long (since maybe 9.15) after finally sleeping soundly when I posted last (and even then we had to wake him). He's now happily having his dummy & a cuddle, looking sleepy.

Where's my happy, predictable, easy baby gone??!! Confused

TheDetective · 22/02/2013 11:06

Fuck you Daily Mail, eh?!

I don't think the shitheads will be back....

TheDetective · 22/02/2013 11:12

I think this is why they say you just have to stop over thinking it and surrender to their needs chunky. I've give up. Some nights he wants sleep some nights he wants frequent feeds. Some days he feeds loads. Some days he doesn't. Nothing I am doing changes this so I GIVE UP!!

VQ DS1 was hard work as a baby. He started to walk at 10.5 months and from that moment on, he was a different child. Happy, no whinging, sleeping... He never went through the terrible twos or had temper tantrums etc. He was a perfect child!

It's only recently he has become hard work again! I think that is hormones though!

Just to give you hope. It can't last forever!

Kyzordz · 22/02/2013 11:14

Morning all :) ds did 8:15-10:30 then dream feed then 11-7, then fed, then 8-10:30! Lazy so and so! Will have to go and read recent pages to see how your nights went!

In octopus news, the scarf is a good few inches long!

Contradictionincarnate · 22/02/2013 11:17

its not all unicorns and rainbows here as it did take a day of nonstop feeding a Velcro baby trying not to get hopes up too much as it could just be a one off and she is exhausted from all the spurting over past few days!?
have her grandcha coming over soon my dad who will inevitably find something to nag me about in messy house!
think he may be a little ocd ...he always says to make sure I have done dishes so dh doesn't come home to them...if only he knew last night dh did them so my dad wouldn't nag me!!

Contradictionincarnate · 22/02/2013 11:37

just read the pr daily mail link ...I couldn't find the thread at the time go pr!!!
sent the email to my husband ...see that pr I know her I know her!!!
linked to facebook too awaiting fall out! if you down tabloids you are usually accused of being stuck up! I recall critising the sun in a media studies class and being told I was posh and didn't know anything! I was interupted by the teacher right in the middle of a rant about how my dad worked in the steel works and now factories!!
Think my media studies teacher started my hatred of daily mail though its always been very anti teachers ...

ChunkyChicken · 22/02/2013 11:54

I think you're right detective. The last couple of days I've been trying to dictate things a bit more because I've had plans that I couldn't work around iyswim. Normally its a bit more flexible. Today we are doing the baby-led thing again... :)

BigPigLittlePig · 22/02/2013 11:58

Haha go pr Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 22/02/2013 12:00

Actual LOL at idea of Detective barking at journalists :o

Contradictionincarnate · 22/02/2013 12:11

chunky I was just telling dh this morning how I just go with what dd wants to do no planning the day or anything don't know when I will eat when she could sleep etc but it makes it exciting at least its not groundhog day just one non stop slog

blonderedhead · 22/02/2013 12:13

Tits I think PR had a bad experience on Cerazette recently?

The DM thread has been linked to by people I know on fb, even by some big butch non-MN men! So proud to know PR.

DS conked out after his epic poo so I missed the usual sleepy feed at 9pm and put him straight to bed. He woke hungry at 1am and 4am so got the same number of feeds though. 2nd one was hard work as he was straining a lot, weird as I thought he had fully evacuated. Maybe some trapped wind. Anyway the best bit was, after falling asleep again around 5am, I slept through him waking again at 7am, DH took him down, fed, changed and brought him back without me noticing and I finally woke at 9am with L still sleeping peacefully beside me! Bliss!

PetiteRaleuse · 22/02/2013 12:17

Cerazette.

Today I have a baby who refused her Moses basket in favour of a wee cuddle and a snooze on me.
Maybe she likes me after all!

hope it doesn't become too much of a habit though

Have to wake her up in 5 minutes sadly as we have a dietician appointment at last

PetiteRaleuse · 22/02/2013 12:40

It feels like ages since LO fell asleep on me. She has preferred her pram or cot for a good month now :(

Best part of having a newborn is the long cuddles while they sleep, and it's over :(

YellowWellies · 22/02/2013 12:49

I feel like shit, achey all over, totally fatigued - we are not leaving the house today. Thank god its fish and chips for tea. Also having weird almost like contractions? Meh DH hurry home!

PetiteRaleuse · 22/02/2013 12:53

Oh I miss fish and chips. In June when I go to England I'm going to trough on fish and chips. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

TheDetective · 22/02/2013 12:59

Is it your period on its way YW? I got the cramps for a good few days before my first period arrived with avengance!

I bark at DP sometimes. Grin Journalists stand no chance!

Had the bad news from the garage. Another £100 pissed away.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

I am fed up of eating to the sound of screaming baby. Please tell me everyone elses baby cries when they eat? Breakfast/lunch/dinner. Doesn't matter if he is sleeping, he will wake and cry. Guaranteed. There is no reason for the cry, other than 'pick me up'. He then shuts up. Is he jealous that I am paying attention to my food?! He will happily lie there kicking away, til the minute I dare to eat. I don't understand!
