Gbt another boy lovely Grin I wanted a girl desperately before having DS but now if we do have another strangely I want another boy.

Wicked and jersey boys both good jersey boys much better than expected even had Jon from S club 7 as Frankie valli and he was amazing. Had wanted to see the bodyguard but with u on the cheapskateness they wanted £66 for upper circle tickets NO WAY!! Gonna wait for later in year,

Day of shopping ahead before train back to Bristol dh sent me a pic of DS eating his breakfast all smiles ......am not a sentimental type but can't wait to see him Grin

OiMissus · 28/03/2013 20:08

Congratulations Gary! There's something very lovely about boys. I really can't decide what I want next. All my life I've wanted one of each, but now I'm loving the boys! Which I think means, that I'll be overjoyed whatever the sex.
We aren't going to find out next time. ...If there is a next time. There are no chickens being counted here!
It's bloody rotten that the weather is so awful. 4 days with my boy could've been spent running up hills and around parks and in the garden, but I think we'll be indoors for the most part. We'll see.

BJR · 28/03/2013 20:12

congrats on boy number 2 Gary! and seven can't believe how fast it's all gone.

Things are no better here. DP and I have been civil but not really talking all week. Thought I would make some effort tonight and had got stuff to make a nice dinner so we could spend some time together and try and talk about everything properly.

Apparently he doesn't want to sit at a shity table with me and eat some shity steak. Also had a go at me as DS wasn't asleep by 7. So much for my plan of a nice evening.

Talked to some friends in real life who have been supportive. Looked at a practical stuff and I think biggest hurdle is going to be finding somewhere to live as I will need to claim a bit of housing benefit to top up my salary and most letting agents won't let to people on housing benefit. Grr, I'm sure there will be some way round it, I just have to keep looking.

iZombie · 28/03/2013 20:27

BJR if you have a job and are just getting a top up I think you'll be looked upon reasonably favourably. It's full HB that they are wary of as a lot of landlord insurance premiums are greatly increased in the landlord accepts 'social' tenants. If you have a family member willing to act as a guarantor you could be in with a decent enough chance. Much luck to you. Separating with children in the mix is never easy:(

Aethelfleda · 28/03/2013 22:16

(((((hug))))) BJR. shame he couldn't sit down like a mature adult and communicate. Sorry to hear that, I hope you can work something practical out soon.

OiMissus · 28/03/2013 22:43

Argh BJR, hate to say it but he needs a smack in the face with a putrid tuna.
How silly?!
Such a shame he can't speak to you reasonably, and, like adults, discuss the situation.
Well, f@@@ him. Take him for everything that he's got. (Is that the wine speaking? !)

Xiaoxiong · 29/03/2013 01:16

Congrats Gary!! I'd be so pleased with another boy looking at lovely cuddly boy asleep in bed next to me DH says he wants a girl. But we'll both be overjoyed with whatever flavour we get.

Oh ((( BJR ))) that's really awful and I'm so glad you've got supportive RL friends to help you make a plan. Can't believe he wouldn't sit down and eat a nice dinner with you to talk it over Angry

OiMissus · 29/03/2013 12:12

We attempted the hill! We didn't get to the top, but we got about half way up. To be honest, I carried him more than I thought I'd have to - seems he's not keen on hill walking yet. However, he liked the sheep and baa-ed at them, and he practically ran all the way down.
BOi done well!
I'm sat in the car, in the sun, on the Tesco car park, waiting for him to wake up. Grin

OiMissus · 29/03/2013 15:36

It's gorgeous here today. Lots of sun. We've did our hill walk this morning, and have played in the garden this afternoon.
So it really isn't always grim ooop north!

QueenofClean · 29/03/2013 18:43

Oi well done on the hill walk.

Today has been spent preparing for Darcie turning 8 tomorrow!

Sky just upchucked all over me...seems happy in herself tho and playing in her room with her cookie jar & shapes with Piglets Big Movie on in background. What worries me is that she doesn't want a drink :(

Figgygal · 29/03/2013 19:59

Good work oi we went to westonbirt arboretum today for a march around we have an annual membership but cost £8 for my mum to come in too Shock. It was freezing too so didn't even stay very long in the end. DS also had his last mother and baby swim class today he's up to toddler class next week.

Hope sky is ok qoc

SevenReasonsToSmile · 29/03/2013 20:08

Well done on the hill walking oi and BOi!

queen hope Sky feels better soon.

BJR no helpful suggestions here other than . Hope he grows up and starts talking about it, though it sounds like you've already half made your mind up.

Weather has been odd here today, glorious sunshine mixed with snow showers and a bitter easterly wind blowing off the sea. We're doing another street collection tomorrow, I think it's actually colder than the one we done in December, tbh I can think of better things to do at 7 months pregnant!

QueenofClean · 29/03/2013 23:04

No more up chucking yet she's fast asleep so hoping it was a one off affair!

QueenofClean · 30/03/2013 07:45

My Darcie is 8 today...where does the time go?!

QueenofClean · 30/03/2013 08:46

Aethel..needs your advice. Sky not well, upchucked yesterday and got sticky eye. Off her milk and blue in the lips but seems fine in herself and has drunk a Capri-sun this morning. I have Raynards so do you think Sky has it too or possobility of lack of oxygen or something? Worried.

Faffin · 30/03/2013 08:51

Happy birthday to darcie

I hope sky is ok today, and that it was just a one off. DS had a one off vomit tues night, then had no appetite for a couple of days. I then spent all thurs night throwing up and felt awful throughout yesterday.

We all seem well today so will brave the weather and do something Easter related!

Hope everyone else doing ok. Struggling to keep up with the thread at the moment - sorry!

mopsytop · 30/03/2013 09:10

could she be cold Queen? If she hasn't got a fever, maybe she needs another layer? Minim was upchucking all last week... if you're worried about hydration, feed her a spoon or a syringe of water every five minutes or so. It's extremely tedious but extremely effective! I know from much weary experience!

Boat race is tomorrow instead of today. Isn't it usually a Saturday? I can't decide who to root for given both are Alma maters but I suppose I'd better stick to the most recent.

Off to feed the ducks shortly. Then going to hit the shops. Need new skinny jeans. I am favouring 'Leigh' from Topshop skinnies at the most but a friend tells me Urban Outfitters do lovely ones with... wait for it... a high waist! Can't wait to try them!

QueenofClean · 30/03/2013 09:29

Mopsy she is a little cold. She's now just had some milk and is in bed. Hoping she keeps in down. She drank a Capri-sun this morning so has had some fluids...just worried about the blue..it's prob nothing.

I feel so tired and got killer back ache too :(

Darcie is having a good day so far. DH just taken her and a friend to the cinema to see The Croods. So peaceful house for a few hours. Gives me chance to finish the cake!

So far she has received a load of lovely new clothes, money, boxset of David Walliams childrens books, one direction tour on DVD, one direction goodies and ticket to see Leona Lewis in Bournemouth in May.

QueenofClean · 30/03/2013 10:47

111 nurse called back. Sky not Blue at moment and talking and playing okay. Need to keep an eye on blueness. Doctor will call me within 6hrs. If she goes blue at anytime then I need to call straight back then will then prob have her admitted to QAH and said check for heart murmur. My poor baby x

Faffin · 30/03/2013 14:32

Just seen the x post from this morning. Hope sky is still ok

QueenofClean · 30/03/2013 15:26

She's been seen by OOH doc at the hospital. She thinks she's got a virus that is effecting her temp and heart which regulates the blood flow to the extremities. If she goes blue again within next 12-24hrs we need to take her straight to Paeds dept in hospital. Get her blue lighted if her breathing become laboured or she starts wheezing. Thanks all x

AnAirOfHope · 30/03/2013 17:40

Queen hope sky is ok and gets better soon.

Today we have got a erf car seat, chicken for tomoro lunch that im cooking for us and inlaws and Aarond end of month good reward toy. Im broke and tired and have loads of cleaning to do but Hope wants bf so im watching avangers with air and his 12+ hiding coshion

mopsytop · 30/03/2013 17:47

What a worry Queen. Hope she is OK and doesn't go blue again.

I stuck with topshop for the skinny jeans. Can't go wrong plus I get a student discount. Woohoo. Also went mad buying about seven books for minimopsy. She's mad for the books so I might as well encourage her!

QueenofClean · 30/03/2013 18:10

Thanks ladies. Her hands & feet are still cold and hands blueish but it's her face we have to be concerned with. We will see.

Darcie has had a fab birthday and been thoroughly spoilt xx

Aethelfleda · 30/03/2013 18:27

Hi queenie, sorry, not been on line all day, hope Sky has perked up a bit.... If she's well in herself and is eating and drinking and getting on with stuff hopefully it's just a viral illness and she will be fine. Blue lips can be worrying sometimes but if she was cold sometimes it happens then too, Raynauds is exceedingly rare in children so would't be that probably. It would be extremely unusual for a heart murmur to be missed at her baby checks and to only start causing problems now so hopefully its not that.

Did you get any further real life check overs/advice? If you're worried at any point that she seems really sick then get her to the a&E (out of hours docs can be great but there is usually a time delay of hoops to jump through like waiting for ringbacks/appointments and if there is a worry she's really poorly you don't want that delay.)

Hope she's OK....
